They encouraged participants to attend workshops, read educational literature, and stay updated with the latest teaching trends. This realization prompted me to set aside time for my own CPD, ensuring that I remain a competent and passionate educator.Apart from the panel discussion, the activity also included workshops and practical sessions that allowed participants to observe and participate in different teaching methods. Here are some personal reflections on these sessions:1. Observing Different Teaching Styles: The opportunity to observe experienced teachers in action was incredibly beneficial. I noticed the variety of teaching styles and techniques employed, which helped me appreciate the diversity within the English teaching community. It also reinforced the importance of finding a teaching style that resonates with my students.2. In this essay, I would like to share my reflections on English teaching and research, with the hope of inspiring and encouraging my fellow educators.Firstly, the importance of continuous learning cannot be overstated. As an English teacher, I have come to realize that the world of English is vast and ever-evolving. This approach emphasizes active learning, critical thinking, and collaboration, which are essential skills for students to succeed in the 21st century.Another critical aspect of English teaching is the integration of technology. PBL involves students in real-world problems that require them to apply their knowledge and skills to find solutions. This approach not only enhances their critical thinking and problem-solving skills but also promotes collaboration and communication. During the activity, we worked on a PBL project that required students to create a travel guide for a fictional destination. The project allowed students to showcase their creativity and teamwork, and it was a great success.IV. Impact on Teaching PracticeThe English group teaching and research activity has had a significant impact on my teaching practice. By participating in the activity, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and practical tips that I can apply in my classroom. Here are some of the key changes I have made to my teaching methods:1. Emphasizing collaboration: I have incorporated more group activities and projects into my lessons, which have encouraged students to work together and share their ideas.2. Flipping the classroom: I have started to implement flipped classroom techniques, which have resulted in increased student engagement and a better understanding of the material.3. Using technology: I have integrated more technology tools into my teaching, such as educational apps, online resources, and multimedia presentations, to make my lessons more dynamic and engaging.4. Incorporating innovative teaching methods: I have tried various innovative teaching methods, such as project-based learning and gamification, to cater to the diverse needs of my students. Conclusion:The English group teaching and research activity has been an incredibly rewarding experience. By collaborating with my colleagues, engaging in continuous learning, and exploring innovative teaching methods, I have enhanced my teaching skills and gained valuable insights into the world of education. I am confident that the changes I have made to my teaching practice will positively impact my students' learning experiences and contribute to their academic success. As an English teacher, participating in the recent research and teaching symposium organized by our department was an incredibly enriching experience. The event, which brought together educators from various schools and backgrounds, provided a platform for knowledge sharing, idea exchange, and collaborative learning. This essay aims to reflect on the key takeaways and personal insights gained from the symposium.IntroductionThe symposium was structured around a series of workshops, presentations, and panel discussions, each focusing on different aspects of English language teaching and learning. From innovative teaching methods to the impact of technology on language acquisition, the event covered a wide range of topics that are pertinent to our profession. Below, I willdelve into the highlights of the symposium and how they have influenced my teaching practices and perspectives.Innovative Teaching MethodsOne of the most striking aspects of the symposium was the emphasis on innovative teaching methods. Several presenters shared their experiences with flipped classrooms, project-based learning, and gamification. These approaches, which encourage student-centered learning and active participation, have sparked my interest in rethinking my own teaching strategies. For instance, I have started incorporating more collaborative activities into my lessons, such as group discussions and debates, to promote critical thinking and teamwork skills. Additionally, I am exploring the use of educational technology tools like Kahoot! and Quizizz to make my classes more engaging and interactive. These methods not only help to maintain student interest but also cater to different learning styles, thereby enhancing overall learning outcomes. The Role of Technology in Language LearningThe symposium also highlighted the increasing role of technology in language learning. Presenters discussed various apps, platforms, and online resources that can be utilized to supplement traditional teaching methods. This realization has prompted me to integrate more digitaltools into my teaching repertoire.I have begun using language learning apps such as Duolingo and Babbel to provide students with additional practice opportunities outside the classroom. Furthermore, I have created a class blog where students can share their writing assignments and receive feedback from their peers. This not only fosters a sense of community but also encourages students to take ownership of their learning.Assessment and FeedbackAnother significant theme of the symposium was the importance of effective assessment and feedback. Educators shared their insights on formative and summative assessment techniques, emphasizing the need for personalized and constructive feedback. This has led me to reevaluate my own assessment practices and seek more creative ways to assess student progress.I have started implementing more formative assessments, such as exit tickets and reflection journals, to gauge student understanding and identify areas for improvement. Moreover, I have been providing more specific and actionable feedback on student work, focusing on strengths as well as areas that require development. This approach has not only helped students to improve their performance but also to become more reflective learners.Professional Development and CollaborationThe symposium also underscored the importance of ongoing professional development and collaboration among educators. By sharing our experiences and insights, we can learn from each other and grow as professionals. This collaborative spirit has inspired me to seek out opportunities for further development, such as attending workshops and joining professional networks. In conclusion, the English department research and teaching symposium was a valuable experience that has broadened my horizons and enriched my teaching practices. By embracing innovative teaching methods, integrating technology, focusing on effective assessment and feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration, I believe I can provide a more engaging and effective learning environment for my students.ConclusionIn reflecting on the symposium, I am reminded of the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in our ever-evolving profession. The event has not only equipped me with new tools and strategies but has also reinforced my commitment to fostering a love for language and learning in my students. As I move forward, I am eager to implement these insights and share them with my colleagues, contributing to the ongoing development of our department and the broader educational community. Introduction:The recent research and teaching activity organized by our English Department provided a valuable opportunity for faculty members to collaborate, share insights, and enhance our teaching methodologies.

1.affect; effect; influence; 2. anthing but; nothing but; 3. me true;realize等,让他们查这些词的用法及区别。
