摘要：The invention relates to diagnostic and prognostic assays, particularly to methods of determining the metabolic state of a subject. More specifically, the invention provides assays and methods comprising determining the level of m RNA of uncoupling protein 2 (UCP2) specifically in platelets of the subject.
