BBC News on TV, radio and online often brings you stories from across the world. Today we can hear “Life in China”. Have you got a story about life in China today? If you do, please put your stories here.
Wu Peng, Anhui I am a 14-year-old boy from a poor village in Anhui Province.
Like many other left-behind children in China, I live with my
grandparents now. My parents went to work in Shanghai several years
ago. They call me twice a month to ask about my study. I really
miss my parents and I hope I can go to school in Shanghai. I think
every child needs parents’ love and care.
Cindy,
Shenzhen
I like traveling and I have traveled a lot around China. During
the trip, I often find that a number of Chinese often break the
rules in public. For example, when I traveled in Hong Kong this
year, I saw a kid eating noodles on the underground, which was
against the rules. However, the kid’s mother didn’t think she
did wrong. Can you believe it? Let’s improve our public manners.
Mike, Shanghai These days, we’re asked to “clear our plates” when having
our meals and say no to wasting. Some of us used to order more than
what we could eat. That was a big waste of food. Now we need to
finish the food we order. We should also stop wasting in some other
ways. For example, we should turn off the lights when we leave the
classroom.

Sports, school are tiring. But there is a great way to unwind after all of those activities. Go to north London, to the coolest part of the city---Camden. There you can find fashion trends (流行,趋向) and famous people.
Sam and I walked down Camden High Street and made our way to a bridge over Regent ’s Canal. It is a 9-mile man-made river that goes through London.
We went into a big market and saw crazy signs, fun T-shirts, and things like hand-made earrings for sale. We bought Chinese fried noodles. It tasted very different from the noodles we make at home, and we ate it with a fork instead of chopsticks!
Camden is famous for the punk (朋克)style that started in the 1970s. Punks walked around with bright pink and green hair, broken clothes with safety pins, metal buttons (纽扣)and pierced ears and lips. Punk music shops played loud, heavy rock music.
But there were also groups of hippies (嬉皮士)with big sweaters. They sat in cafes drinking soymilk, with black clothes, black lipstick and painted white faces.
Besides all these “normal ” people, a lot of famous people come to Camden. Actor Orlando Bloom from Pirates of the Caribbean lives there.
Camden is especially known as a home to famous musicians. Lots of top bands played here, including Coldplay, Oasis---and Sam ’s favourite band, The Vaccines. I had never heard of them before---But luckily they were playing that night in Camden.

Working Individually or Working in a Team
There are two ways to get work done. One is to work individually. In this way, people can decide for themselves when to start work and how to do it. What’s more, th ey will be able to learn to solve problems on their own.
The other way is to work in a team. People can learn from each other and help each other. Besides, people may work out better ways to get work done by discussing together .
Personally, I prefer to work in a team because it can offer me a chance to learn how to get along with others and to share my experiences with them. As the work can be divided among several people, it can be done efficiently (better ). Teamwork is always important.
