Buthere, I’d like to talk about a quiz show from Shenzhen TV channel, which isnamed as “who is cleverer”.This quiz show brings the adults back to the primary school class, helpsthem recall those happy memories in the childhood, recollects those forgottenknowledge. It aims to attract audience of primary school students, as well asadults. In this quiz show, a group of primary school students and a team of adultsare competing on the same stage, for those seemingly familiar and seeminglysimple questions from primary school subjects. It is fun to see theembarrassment of those adult competitors unable to answer those easy questions, and it is also fun to see those primary students showing off their knowledge infront of their adult competitors. Altogether, there are 10 questions for eachcompetitor, and those adults who can answer right all the 10 questions may havea chance to get the prize: 50 thousand YMB , but if he fail, he has to say tothe audience, “wow, I am not soclever as a primary school student”and then heis replaced by another adults.Wow, it’s so funny that after so many years education, almost no adultscould win the game and get the prize. And it’s so interesting that this quizshow can bring so many parents and children in front of their TV sets to enjoytheir get-together. I like the feeling of watching this kind of TV programs.。

The TV program that made a strong impression on me was a documentary that I watched on Discovery Channel. The TV program w as called “The sacrifice of genius” and it was a serial that had around 10 episodes. I watched all of those episodes and enjoyed a lot. This was mainly a documentary serial which emphasized the sacrifice the famous and genius scientists like Marie Curie, Thomas Edison and 8 other scientists.I watched the TV program in my third year of my graduation program. In our local time, the program was broadcasted at 9.00 pm every Thursday. These stories were presented in a fascinating way and were very professionally made. Those sacrifices were unbelievable and after watching this program, I could not stop thinking about those famous scientist and their supreme sacrifices. This program has helped me thinking in a different perspective that sacrifices for others can be more important thanpersonal achievements like wealth, fame and self-awareness. I later searched about details of those scientists and other famous persons as well and learned many things. I was actually inspired by this program and started learning closely about the people who made the world a place where we no longer need to live in the dark and do not have to fight the wild animals to earn our foods.Similar Cue Card topics that you should be able to answer as well:1. Public service broadcasting, which is generally believed to originate in UK, is a pervasive broadcasting system based on the aim of serving the public interest. Their products contribute to the spread of freedom, pluralism, education prosperity and high quality program production. In this system, educational TV programs are the vital parts. For instance, the Open University program, which is produced by BBC, has beenaired for more than forty years. It is so successful that it set a good example for the other public educational programs. Many British people who don’t have a chance to study in a college have learned knowledge from this program. Because of this program, some of them are able to seek further education and get a college degree, which offers them more opportunities for better jobs. Moreover, the services have provided a competitive relationship with other media services agencies, leading to the increase in service quality of this industry. With the support of the UK government, BBC’s programs grow so fast. They are able to produce independent educational programs without any influence from other forces. That is to say, they can broadcast the truth faithfully. It offers a chance for people to speak freely with a neutral, equitable and objective stand.雅思口语Part2题库:电视教育节目Describe an educational TV program. You should say:what the program iswhat type of program it iswhat contents it hasand explain what you learned from the program.I’d like to talk about a program from my childhood called “How 2”, I believe it’s originally a British TV show that was televised in my country with subtitles. The presenters certainly spoke with a British accent. It’s hard to pin down exactly what type of program it was, I guess a mixture of science and history, with some everyday facts thrown in for good measure. The title itself is a play on words, as the series would show you ‘how to’ do certain t hings. The show is aimed at kids in middle school or high school. The hosts would routinely do experiments to demonstrate science in action, I remember one in particular where the presenters were trying to pour water out of a bottle in the quickest way possible. The winner had a very good technique whereby she would swirl the water, creating a vortex and causing the liquid to fly out of the bottle far quicker than any of the others’.As you would expect, the show got me interested in science and learning, but it also showed that you could do many experiments yourself and have fun at home, with everyday objects and materials that were easy to get hold of. At school we would need equipment and the teacher would have to supervise us, but at home we could be left to our own devices, with just a bottle and some water to keep us amused.雅思口语成绩如何有效提高雅思考试作为一门出国必备的语言测试,近几年在各国认可程度不断提升。

关于电视节目英语作文Title: The Influence of Television Programs on Society。

Television programs play a significant role in shaping society's perceptions, values, and behaviors. Whether it's news broadcasts, reality shows, or scripted dramas, television has a profound impact on viewers worldwide. In this essay, I will explore the various aspects oftelevision programs and their influence on society.First and foremost, television programs serve as a source of information and news for millions of people globally. News channels provide updates on current events, politics, economics, and social issues. Consequently, television programs have the power to shape public opinion and influence political discourse. For example, a well-researched documentary on climate change can raise awareness and stimulate action among viewers, while biased news coverage may perpetuate misinformation and polarization.Furthermore, television programs reflect and reinforce societal norms and values. Sitcoms, dramas, and reality shows often depict various lifestyles, relationships, and cultural practices. These portrayals can either challenge or perpetuate stereotypes and prejudices. For instance, the representation of gender roles, race, and sexuality on television programs can shape how individuals perceive themselves and others. Therefore, media producers have a responsibility to promote diversity and inclusion in their content to foster a more equitable society. Moreover, television programs have a profound impact on children and adolescents, who are particularly vulnerable to media influence. Studies have shown that excessive exposure to violence, sexual content, and unrealistic body images on television can contribute to behavioral problems, low self-esteem, and distorted perceptions of reality among young viewers. As such, parents and educators play acrucial role in monitoring children's media consumption and promoting critical media literacy skills. On the other hand, television programs also have the potential to educate and inspire audiences. Educational programs, documentaries, and historical dramas can provide valuable insights into various subjects, ranging from science and history to art and culture. Additionally, television can serve as a platform for social advocacy and awareness campaigns. For instance, telethons and charity events broadcasted on television can raise funds and support for humanitarian causes. In conclusion, television programs wield immense influence over society, shaping perceptions, values, and behaviors. While they can serve as a valuable source of information, entertainment, and inspiration, they also have the power to perpetuate stereotypes, misinformation, and harmful ideologies. Therefore, it is essential for media producers, policymakers, and viewers alike to be mindful of the content they consume and create, ensuring that television programs contribute positively to the well-being and progress of society as a whole.。

There are lots of tests like IELTS 、BEC 、BULATS 、ILES and so on . If you want to succeed , you should choose a test whose substance is close to our life . Here , I recommend you to prepare for these exams by making use of TV . Following are my reasons .
First , we know that BEC consists of listening part . Listening to the TV news and the weather report not only helps us improve our listening ability but also offers us an opportunity to broaden our knowledge . Then , listening to the TV news can increase our enunciation , which will be beneficial to us while we are having an oral quiz . For another reason , with the tendence of BEC becoming more distinct , we must pay attention to the writing part because it makes up 70 points . So we can gather some informations from listening to the TV news as well as BBC 、VOA and foreign broadcast . Besides , there are also some important things that you need to learn . For a beginner , you should attempt the low speed . After some practices , you can speed up step by step . If possible , you also can watch the English movies as a start .
As far as I`m concerned , watching TV helps us students perform better in the exam . Last but not least , what matters is that we should find a good way to prepare for the University of Cambridge entrance examination .。
