The Review of Monsters Inc

As a child, what would you do if an ugly monster comes into your room when you are sleeping?

Of course, you may scream. However, maybe you don’t know, in the world behind our closet doors, there is a monsters world. The whole society runs on the power of screams. It is their energy that makes lights glow and cars drive. They’ll step out through a closet and do the best to scare children, but they’re not doing it for fun: It’s a job.

Big companies like Monsters, Inc. collect the scream energy, and many monsters work there in shifts. In these times, it is getting harder and harder to shock the kids properly, since they're so spoiled by television, so that there's an energy shortage in the monster world. Sullivan, the number one frightener, one day accidentally lets a human child into the monster world. Since kids are supposed to be poisonous and carry loads of diseases. After Mike and Sullivan discover that the girl they named Boo actually seems quite harmless, they decide to bring her back through her door into her room. But Boo's presence is more than just a mere accident. Now, Mike and Sullivan have to face an enemy within their own ranks.

On the way they send Boo back to home, they build a deep friendship with Boo. This friendship forces Sullivan at the risk of his life to save Boo. Fortunately, there is a happy ending, the boss have been taken, and Sullivan takes over from the boss, inspired by Boo, he put the company changed to laugh, power companies to generate electricity with laughter.

''Monsters, Inc.'' is cheerful, high-energy fun, and like the other Pixar movies, has a running supply of gags and references aimed at grownups.

I also enjoyed the sly way that the monster world mirrors our own, right down to production quotas and sales slogans. ''We Scare,'' they assure us, ''Because We Care.'' It's agreeable and often funny, and adults who take their kids to see it might be surprised to find themselves having a pretty good time.
