When a person does a certain thing, he is impelled(迫使) by some unseen force to do the same thing repeatedly, thus a habit is formed. Once a habit is formed, it is difficult, and sometimes impossible to get rid of.It is therefore very important that we should pay great attention to the formation of habits. Children form bad habits, some of which remain as long as they live, and sometimes they become ruined by their bad habits. There are other habits which, when formed in early life, are of great help. Many successful men say that much of their success has something to do with certain early habits, such as early rising, honesty and thoroughness.Among the habits which children should not form are laziness, lying, stealing and so on.These are all easily-formed habits. Unfortunately older persons often form habits which ought to have been avoided. We ought to keep away from all these bad habits, and try to form such habits as will prove to be good for ourselves and others.56.Habits, whether good or bad, are formed ____ , ____ everyone knows.A.second by second; which B.little by little; asC.gradually; that D.century after century; as57.Early rising is ____ formed in one’s early life.It ____ one all one’s life.A.a good habit; is great to B.a good habit; was worse toC.good enough to be; is useless to D.a good habit; is helpful to58.Bad habits formed in ____ sometimes ____ .A.children; stay all their lives B.older people; can kill themC.persons; can remain with them D.younger people; can break them59.The main idea of this passage is ____ .A.how good habits are formedB.how bad habits are formedC.how habits are formed and how great their influence is on one’s daily lifeD.how to get rid of bad habitsKeys to 1211-5 CBBCA 6-10 ABBDB 11-15 CAACC 16-20 BCBBB 21-25 BCCBB 26 -30 DAABB 31-35 CCAAD 36-40 BCACA 41-45 ABCAD 46-50 CBDBA 51-55 CCABB 56-59 BDAC。

When a person does a certain thing, he is impelled(迫使) by some unseen force to do the same thing repeatedly, thus a habit is formed. Once a habit is formed, it is difficult, and sometimes impossible to get rid of.It is therefore very important t hat we should pay great attention to the formation of habits. Children form bad habits, some of which remain as long as they live, and sometimes they become ruined by their bad habits. There are other habits which, when formed in early life, are of great help. Many successfulmen say that much of their success has something to do with certain early habits, such as early rising, honesty and thoroughness.Among the habits which children should not f orm are laziness, lying, stealing and so on. These are all easily-formed habits. Unfortunately older persons often form habits which ought to have been avoided. We ought to keep away from all these bad habits, and try to form such habits as will prove to be good for ourselves and others.56.Habits, whether good or bad, are formed ____ , ____ everyone knows.A.second by second; which B.little by little; asC.gradually; that D.century after century; as57.Early rising is ____ formed in o ne’s early life.It ____ one all one’s life.A.a good habit; is great to B.a good habit; was worse toC.good enough to be; is useless to D.a good habit; is helpful to58.Bad habits formed in ____ sometimes ____ .A.children; stay all their lives B.older people; can kill themC.persons; can remain with them D.younger people; can break them59.Th e main idea of this passage is ____ .A.how good habits are formedB.how bad habits are formedC.how habits are formed and how great their influence is on one’s daily lifeD.how to get rid of bad habitsKeys to 1211-5 CBBCA 6-10 ABBDB 11-15 CAACC 16-20 BCBBB 21-25 BCCBB 26 -30 DAABB 31-35 CCAAD 36-40 BCACA 41-45 ABCAD 46-50 CBDBA 51-55 CCABB 56-59 BDAC。
