在教girl和boy时,先出示教学图片介绍girl和boy两遍,然后清拍学生的头部,对一女生说:girl对一男生说:boy重复数次后,让学生自己体会到girl和boy的意思,教学效果较明显,很多学生为了让老师摸摸他/她的头(他们觉得这是一种表扬的方式),都挺直腰杆,专心地听老师讲课,希望自己也能得此“殊荣”,在无意注意中自然地理清了男孩女孩的概念。有待提高之处是:虽然学生在新授girl和boy时,能很快领会其意思,但没有及时做好认读工作,以致部分学生仍出现混淆girl和boy的情况。

As a first-grade English teacher, I have been using the textbook "Let's Learn and Let's Play" for the second unit of the spring semester. This unit is focused on listening and hearing skills, which are fundamental for building a strong foundation in English.To begin our class, we usually start with a warm-up activity that gets the students' minds focused on English. One of my favorite games is called "Listen and Move," where I will say an action in English, such as "jump," and the students have to do the action. We continue with different actions, and the students have to listen carefully to my words to do the correct motion. This game not only helps the students with their listening skills but also gets them moving and energized.The main theme of this unit is animals, and the following topics slowly progress towards educating the students about different kinds of animals. We start with mammals, such as dogs, cats, and rabbits, then move onto birds like eagles and penguins, and finally, we cover sea creatures such as fish and dolphins.As we go through each topic, we use different techniques to reinforce the students' listening and hearing skills. For example, we might play a "listening game" where I will say a sound, and the students have to guess which animal it belongs to, or we might watch a video and have the students repeat what the narrator is saying.During the class, we also incorporate some hands-on activities, such as making animal crafts or playing games where the students have to act like different animals. By doing these activities, it helps energize the students and reinforces their engagement and interest in the lesson.At the end of each class, we always have a revision session where we go over everything we covered during the lesson. This session ensures that the students have understood everything that was discussed and helps them remember the new material.Overall, this unit has been an excellent opportunity to help our students develop listening and hearing skills while also teaching them about animals. By using different techniques such as videos, games, and hands-on activities, the students are engaged in the class and can get a robustfoundation in English.
