首先,围绕The United Kingdom 这一话题,通过问题,小测试及头脑风暴的形式展开读前的热身活动,并用媒体图片展示,以激活学生对于这一话题的背景知识和兴趣,为“读”做好铺垫;然后,用英国的全称导入本节课的话题并辅之以英国地图,让学生在读前对英国的现有组成部分有所了解并通过课文标题和文中图片对课文内容进行预测;再然后,通过设计活动展开阅读教学活动,让学生通过略读、寻读、细读、研读四个环节,完成概括大意,填补文章,问题等阅读任务,了解文章的主旨和细节以及篇章结构等信息。

二、教学背景分析1. 教学内容分析本节课的教学内容为人教版新课标高中英语必修五第二单元(Unit 2 The United Kingdom)的阅读课文Puzzles In Geography。
阅读部分从地理、历史、政治、文化等多角度说明了联合王国的形成、发展,以及它的风土人情和人文景观。
使学生对英国有一个比较详实的认识,扩宽知识面,有助于深入地理解和领悟英国语言和英国文化习俗。
让学生了解文化差异,增强跨文化意识。

三、学习者分析Actually, most of the students in Tibet are not good at English. They only can do some easier tasks than the others in our country. Thanks to the less advanced foundation education of Tibet, students’ tasks mainly focus on Tibetan and Chinese(especially the Tibetan students). Therefore, students think that studying English is not vital for them. Most of students don’t like English, although some of them know the importance of English. Good news is that more and more students become interested in learning English after using the one -to-one digital learning system to study. They are eager to finish their homework with it, they like practicing oral English with its oral English test system.As for this class, this is the second period of this unit, the students have learned the new words and expressions, but only some of them may haveidea about what this passage will talk about. There are still some students whose vocabularies are not qualified enough. This requires teacher must guide them to learn the important words and expressions again while learning the passage. In addition, this passage is about the history and geography of the UK, it is a little difficult for students in class 9 to learn. Because the students in class 9 are Tibetan students who only learn one year geography in senior high school, so they have little knowledge about the history and geography of the UK. This needs the teacher must teach this class in a creative way. Using the one -to-one digital teaching system together with task-based learning, disciplinary crossing and integration, and group discussion, the class will make a difference.其实,西藏的大多数学生并不擅长学习英语这一学科。
