如果你有足够的资金买书还是计算机英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1If I Had Enough Funds, I'd Buy Books Over a Computer for Learning EnglishAs a student on a tight budget, the question of whether to spend money on books or a computer for learning English is one that I've pondered quite a bit. On one hand, having a decent computer could open up a world of online resources, language learning apps, and opportunities for virtual conversation practice. But on the other hand, there's just something special about having a physical book in your hands - the feeling of turning the pages, underlining key passages, and getting lost in another world.Ultimately, if I had the funds, I would choose to invest in a library of English books over a computer. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a complete luddite - I value technology and understand its usefulness as a learning tool. However, when it comes to deeply engaging with a new language and immersing yourself inits rhythms and nuances, I feel that physical books offer an experience that can't quite be replicated digitally.First off, let's talk about the physicality of books themselves. Call me old-fashioned, but I relish in the act of holding a book, feeling its weight in my hands, and breathing in that intoxicating smell of printed pages. It's a sensory experience that connects you to the written word in a way that staring at a screen simply cannot. And when you're trying to wrap your mind around complex grammar rules or idiomatic expressions in a new language, having that tactile connection can be incredibly grounding and focused. But it's not just about aesthetics – there's actual research that suggests reading physical books aids in comprehension and memory retention. A study published in the International Journal of Educational Research found that students who read on paper scored significantly higher in reading comprehension tests compared to those who read digitally. There's something about the physicality of turning pages and mapping your progress through a book that engages your brain in a deeper, more multi-sensory way. Then there's the issue of eye strain and distraction. We've all experienced the headaches and fatigue that come fromspending hours staring at a computer screen. And in our perpetually-connected world, it's all too easy to get sidetracked by notifications, social media, and the endless rabbit holes of the internet when you're trying to focus on learning. With a physical book, you're far less likely to be bombarded by those digital distractions, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the text. But beyond the practical advantages, there's an almost spiritual quality to surrounding yourself with books when undertaking the journey of learning a new language. Books are portals into other cultures, other ways of thinking and expressing oneself. And as someone trying to master English – a language that has been shaped by countless writers, poets, and thinkers from around the globe – having a personal library feels like a way to commune with that rich literary tradition.Imagine lining your shelves with everything from classic English novels that challenge your vocabulary and comprehension, to bilingual poetry collections that highlight the musicality of the language, to non-fiction works that offer insight into the cultural context behind idioms and colloquialisms. With each book you consume, you're not just learning words and grammar rules – you're absorbing the very essence of howEnglish-speakers have articulated their experiences throughout history. And let's not forget the joy of getting lost in a good story, no matter what language it's written in. One of the most effective ways to improve your grasp of a new tongue is through contextual immersion, and what better way to immerse yourself than by devouring an engrossing novel or memoir written in beautifully-crafted English prose? Not only will it help reinforce vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, but it will also attune your ear to the natural cadences and rhythms of the language in a way that no textbook or language app can quite replicate. Now, I'm not entirely dismissing the role of technology in language learning – I certainly plan to take advantage of online dictionaries, translation tools, and conversation practice platforms. But those digital resources will be supplements to my core learning method of reading, reading, and reading some more. Because at the end of the day, while computers and the internet offer unparalleled access to information, they can't quite capture the intimacy and depth of connection that comes from physically holding a book in your hands. Some of my most cherished memories from learning English involve curling up with a tattered paperback on a rainy afternoon,or staying up late into the night, book light in hand, desperately trying to get to the end of a chapter before succumbing to sleep. Those moments of being utterly absorbed in the written word, of feeling the language wash over me and start to make sense in a visceral way – those are the experiences that have truly solidified my love and understanding of English. So if I found myself with a humble windfall to dedicate towards my language journey, you can bet that a big chunk of those funds would go straight towards building up my own personal library. I'd haunt used bookstores and library sales, scouring the shelves for hidden gems and well-worn classics. I'd invest in beautiful hardcover editions of novels that have shaped the English literary canon. And I'd leave a little room on my shelves for all the books that have yet to be written – because learning a language is an endless journey, and surrounding myself with the written word is how I'll continue pushing forward.Technology has its place, but when it comes to something as intimate and transformative as learning a new language, there's simply no substitute for the feeling of pages between your fingers and worlds contained within those covers. So if fundsallow, fill up those bookshelves – your personal gateway to English fluency awaits between those timeless bound pages.篇2If I Had Enough Funds, Would I Buy Books or a Computer? As a student in today's rapidly evolving world, the question of whether to invest in books or a computer is a significant one that demands careful consideration. Both options hold immense value and potential benefits, each catering to different aspects of personal growth and academic pursuits. Ultimately, the decision hinges on striking a balance between traditional learning methods and embracing the technological advancements that shape our modern educational landscape. The allure of books is undeniable. These tangible repositories of knowledge have been the cornerstones of human intellectual development for centuries. There is something inherently satisfying about holding a physical book in one's hands, feeling the weight of its pages, and immersing oneself in the written word. Books possess a certain timeless quality that transcends the fleeting nature of digital media. They offer a tactile experience that can foster a deeper connection with the material, enhancing comprehension and retention. Moreover, books are often regarded as reliable sources of information, meticulously researched and scrutinized before publication. The mere act of reading a book demands a level of focus and concentration that can be challenging to replicate in the digital realm, where distractions abound. Curling up with a good book can transport us to realms of imagination, exposing us to diverse perspectives and fostering critical thinking skills that are invaluable in academic and personal growth. However, in an era where technology permeates every aspect of our lives, the appeal of a computer cannot be understated. These powerful machines have revolutionized the way we access, process, and disseminate information. With a computer, the vast expanse of the internet becomes a virtual library, offering a wealth of knowledge at our fingertips. From online academic databases to multimedia resources, the possibilities for learning and research are virtually limitless.Computers also provide a platform for efficient collaboration and communication, enabling students to seamlessly share ideas, collaborate on projects, and seek guidance from peers and instructors alike. Furthermore, digital tools and software can enhance productivity, enabling the organization andmanagement of research materials, note-taking, and the creation of visual aids and presentations.Beyond academics, computers equip students with valuable skills that are increasingly sought after in the professional world. Proficiency in various software programs, coding, and digital literacy can provide a competitive edge in the job market, opening doors to diverse career opportunities. In a world where technology is deeply ingrained in nearly every industry, possessing computer skills is no longer a luxury but a necessity.Ultimately, the decision between books and a computer may come down to individual preferences, learning styles, and academic goals. For those who thrive in a traditional academic setting, where the tactile experience of reading and the depth of scholarly works are paramount, investing in a well-curated collection of books may be the more appealing choice. Conversely, students who embrace the digital age and seek to leverage the power of technology for enhanced learning and collaboration may find greater value in acquiring ahigh-performance computer.Personally, I believe that striking a balance between the two is the ideal approach. While I cherish the irreplaceable value of physical books and the richness they bring to the learningexperience, I also recognize the immense potential of computers and digital resources. By combining the timeless wisdom of books with the cutting-edge capabilities of technology, we can create a synergistic learning environment that fosterswell-rounded intellectual growth.Imagine having a personal library filled with carefully curated volumes, each one a gateway to profound knowledge and captivating narratives. Alongside this, a powerful computer would serve as a conduit to the vast digital landscape, facilitating research, collaboration, and the exploration of multimedia resources. This harmonious integration would enable me to delve into the depths of traditional scholarly works while simultaneously harnessing the power of modern technology to enhance my understanding and broaden my horizons. In essence, the choice between books and a computer is not an either-or proposition but rather a harmonious blend of the traditional and the contemporary. By embracing both, we can cultivate a well-rounded educational experience that nurtures our intellectual curiosity, fosters critical thinking, and equips us with the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world.篇3If I Had Enough Money, Should I Buy Books or a Computer? This is a dilemma that I've been grappling with for quite some time now. As a student, I'm constantly torn between the allure of the printed word and the practicality of modern technology. On one hand, there's something utterly romantic about curling up with a good book, losing myself in the narratives carefully woven by skilled authors. The scent of crisp pages, the feel of the worn cover in my hands – these are sensory experiences that can never be replicated by a digital device. And yet, the siren song of sleek, portable computers is undeniably tempting. In today's fast-paced world, having instant access to a wealth of information at my fingertips is almost a necessity. Can you imagine having to trek to the library every time you needed to research a topic or double-check a fact? With a computer, the entire breadth of human knowledge is quite literally at my command. But let's take a step back and examine the pros and cons of each option more closely. The Case for BooksThere's an unmistakable sense of permanence that comes with physical books. No matter how advanced technologybecomes, there's something reassuring about knowing that the stories and knowledge contained within those pages will endure long after the latest software update or hardware upgrade. Books have stood the test of time, surviving wars, natural disasters, and societal upheavals. In a world of constant change, they offer a comforting constancy. Moreover, the act of reading a book engages multiple senses in a way that screens simply cannot. The tactile sensation of turning pages, the subtle aroma of ink and paper, the very weight of the tome in your hands – these elements combine to create a multi-sensory experience that heightens focus and absorption. Countless studies have shown that we retain information better when reading from physical books as opposed to digital screens. And let's not forget the sheer beauty of a well-stocked library or personal book collection. There's an undeniable aesthetic appeal to rows upon rows of lovingly curated tomes, their spines promising untold adventures and insights. Books are not just repositories of knowledge; they're works of art in their own right, each one a lovingly crafted objet d'art. The Case for ComputersThat being said, the advantages of owning a computer in the modern age cannot be overstated. In a world where information moves at the speed of light, having a digital device that can keep pace is invaluable. Need to fact-check a quote? A few keystrokes and you have your answer. Want to research a historical event? Countless online resources are at your disposal. Trying to make sense of a complex mathematical concept? Interactive tutorials and videos can guide you through step-by-step.Computers have also revolutionized the way we learn and study. Long gone are the days of lugging around heavy textbooks and reams of notes. With a laptop or tablet, I can access my entire academic library with the click of a button.E-books and digital publications have made knowledge more portable and accessible than ever before. And let's not forget the collaborative potential of computers – online forums, video conferencing, and cloud-based note-sharing have transformed the way students interact and work together. Then there's the matter of practicality. A computer is a multi-purpose tool that can handle everything from word processing and data analysis to multimedia editing and coding. In today's job market, being proficient with computers ispractically a requirement, no matter your field of study or career aspirations. The VerdictAfter careful consideration, I've come to the conclusion that the answer lies not in an either/or scenario, but in striking a balance between the two. While I will always cherish the tangible joy of reading a physical book, I cannot deny the immense practical value that a computer offers in terms of research, collaboration, and skill-building.My ideal solution? To invest in a modest yet well-curated home library filled with my favorite tomes and literary treasures, while also allocating funds towards a reliable, versatile computer that can support my academic and professional endeavors. This way, I can enjoy the best of both worlds – the timeless pleasure of holding a book in my hands, and the cutting-edge convenience of digital technology. At the end of the day, the pursuit of knowledge should be a multi-faceted journey, one that embraces the rich tapestry of human ingenuity and expression. Books and computers are merely vehicles on that path, each offering its own unique strengths and charms. By embracing both, I open myself up to aworld of endless possibilities, where the boundaries of learning are limitless, and the thirst for understanding is never quenched. So, dear reader, what would your choice be? The comforting familiarity of a beloved book, or the sleek efficiency of astate-of-the-art computer? Perhaps, like me, you'll find that the true answer lies in a harmonious marriage of the two. After all, in the grand quest for knowledge, every tool, every medium, has something valuable to offer.。

托福IBT高分作文:Should school buy computers or books?Your school has enough money to purchase either computers for students or books for the library. Which should your school choose to buy —computers or books? Use specific reasons and examples to support your recommendation. There are many difficult decisions that school supervisors must make in order to ensure the success of their students. One of these decisions is how to spend money when it is available. Quite often, extra funds are spent on either computers or books. Given the choice, I believe that money is best spent on computers.New technology is being created faster and faster. Each year, IBM develops a new "super computer" that is hundreds of times faster than the previous model. With this constantly changing technology, it is easy for schools to be left behind because theycannot afford new gear. Students deserve to learn on the best technology available, so schools should always upgrade their computers whenever possible.Computers also offer students a wealth of information, perhaps more than books can provide. It is now possible to buy e-books, dictionaries and encyclopedias for a computer. Thesecomputer versions of popular research tools are much better than their hardcover predecessors. For example, a computer encyclopedia takes up no space in the library, it allows students to access the information instantly, and it is much more cost effective than buying the entire series on paper. Also, the Internet allows students to find information on anything their hearts desire. Finally, spending school funds on computers is more beneficial than spending money on books because computers prepare the students for the working world. In today's society, to attain a high paying position in a company it is necessary to have basic computer skills. If students do not have the ability to learn such skills, they will be left behind while others succeed in their place.Accordingly, I feel it is better for schools to spend money on computers rather than books. In addition to the reasons listed above, it is important to note that most major cities have extensive libraries that a local school would be hard-pressed to match. However, libraries frequently do not house computers, and if they do, they are constantly in use by other patrons. In many cases, the only chance a young person has to use a computer is at his/her school.请注明转自爱语吧托福。

资金足够买书还是计算机英语作文
资金足够买书还是计算机英语作文Should I Buy Books or a Computer?Ever since I was a tiny kid, I've loved reading books. My parents started reading to me when I was just a baby, and some of my earliest memories are snuggling up with my mom or dad as they read me stories before bedtime. When I started learning to read myself, it opened up a whole new world of adventure and imagination. I can still remember the feeling of pure joy when I realized I could read books all by myself without any help!As I got older, my love of books only grew stronger. The school library became one of my favorite places, and I would check out the maximum number of books allowed every week. I read books about everything - fiction stories with cool characters going on exciting journeys, non-fiction books teaching me about dinosaurs and outer space, mysteries that kept me trying to figure out the puzzle until the very last page. Books opened doors to places my physical self could never go. One minute I was reading about a young wizard battling evil wizards, the next I had traveled back millions of years to walk among the dinosaurs. Books let me be whoever and go wherever I wanted. But recently, something new has caught my interest - computers! My school got a computer lab last year, and ever since we started going there once a week, I've been hooked. Using the computers and learning how to do things like making drawings, playing games, and looking up information on the internet is just so cool. Computers seem to open up just as many possibilities as books - I can create my own digital stories and artwork, chat with other kids from around the world, and learn about absolutely any topic that interests me. I find myself thinking about the computer lab all week, counting down the days until our next class. So now I'm trying to decide - should I ask for books or a computer for my next birthday? On one hand, books have been my one true love for as long as I can remember. There's just something special about holding a book in my hands, smelling that wonderful book smell, and letting the written words whisk me away on a new adventure. And you can read books absolutely anywhere - waiting in line at the grocery store, on a long car ride, tucked under the covers at night with a flashlight after bedtime. They are portable magic portals I can take with me wherever I go.But computers seem to offer even more magic, if that's possible. With a computer, I can not only read and be transported to other worlds just like in books, but I can also create my own worlds through drawing, writing stories, making videos, and more. Computers connect me with billions of other people and give me access to unimaginable amounts of information on literally every topic. While I love books' portability, computers make up for it by allowing me to communicate with my friends from anywhere and look up answers to all my questions on the spot.I keep going back and forth on this tough decision. Maybe I don't have to choose - maybe for my birthday I could ask for both books and a computer! Though money is often tight in my family, so that might be asking for too much. If I can only pick one, which should it be - books or a computer? When I really think about it, I don't think I can go wrong either way. Books and computers both feed my craving for knowledge, creativity, and new experiences in different but equally wonderful ways. They just represent different paths to opening my mind and imagination. So maybe instead of picking one or the other, I'll aim to find a balance. I'll keep checking out stacks of books from the librarylike always, but also try to spend plenty of time on the school computers and hopefully even get my own computer at home one day. That would be the best of both worlds!Books and computers are like gateways to other dimensions where I can be or do anything. With books, I'm limited only by the imaginations of the authors and by what's possible within the laws of physics in the story world. But with computers, I can build completely new realities that defy all our understanding of how the universe is "supposed" to work. I can code games where the characters can fly without wings, or create art displaying colors and shapes that don't exist in nature. Perhaps one day I'll even write programs that generate new books with plotlines and characters more innovative than any human author could conceive! So in the eternal struggle between books and computers, I don't think there has to be a winner. They are twosides of the same coin - two different but equally magical paths toward learning, exploring, creating, and experiencing the impossible. And I'm going to embrace them both as much as I can!Life is about opening your mind to new possibilities, and feeding that hunger for discovery and adventure. Whether thosepossibilities exist within the inky pages of a book waiting to be explored, or within the bright digital canvas of a computer ready to be programmed into existence, the important thing is keeping an open mind and exercising those abilities to create, imagine, and explore.Books showed me the joy of discovering entire universes between two covers. And computers show me that those universes don't have to be confined to pages - I can build them myself in dimensions that follow no rules but those I choose to create. So bring on the books! Bring on the computers! My mind is hungry to experience everything the world of ideas and imagination has to offer, and I can't wait to see what magic they'll let me work next.。

I can take them anywhere!• Books feel nice in my hands and have that wonde rful old book smell. There's just something classic and cozy about printed books.Cons:• As much as I love reading, staring at pages of text for hours can make my eyes feel tired and strained.• Books take up a lot of physical space on bookshe lves or laying around my room. My mom is always nagging me about cleaning up my "book piles"!• If I want to look something up, I have to use a dictionary, encyclopedia, or other reference book. It's not as easy as quick internet searches.• Most o f the books I'm interested in reading are fiction novels. While fun, they may not be as "educational" as my parents want.ComputerPros:• I could use it to easily look up information for school reports and projects with internet access.• Computers have lots of cool games, videos, music and other entertainment options that I'm into at this age.• With a computer, I can type up book reports, write stories, make PowerPoint presentations and produce better quality work for school.• Co mputers are much more engaging than books with their graphics, sounds, and interactive features. I probably won't get as bored or zone out.• Learning computer skills at a young age will help prepare me for a tech-driven world.Cons:• Unlike a ffordable books, purchasing a computer and internet access is a major investment that my parents may not want to spend money on right now.• Too much screen time can possibly hurt my eyes, give me headaches, or negatively impact my attention span.• It's easy to get distracted playing games or watching videos instead of using the computer for educational purposes.• If I'm not careful, I could accidentally download a virus or encounter inappropriate content online.• Reading physical books helps strengthen comprehension and cognitive abilities in a way that e-books may not.Hmm...now that I've weighed the good and bad aspects of both, I'm still pretty torn on which is the better choice. Books and computers each have their own sets of pros and cons.Part of me really wants to get a bunch of new fantasy book series to feed my imagination and get transported to magical worlds of adventure. Reading helps me become a better writer and student. There are so many classic books I haven't read yet like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, The Hobbit and more. I could totally lose myself between the pages for hours! But then again, having a computer would open up a world of information at my fingertips. I could learn about practically any topic I'm interested in, from dinosaurs to coding to football stats.I have to do reports and presentations for school constantly, anda computer would make that so much easier and more visually engaging than just printing everything out.If I'm being honest, I'd probably utilize the computer more for playing immersive games and watching YouTube videos than just educational purposes. But I could make a deal with my parents to only use it for an hour of gaming/fun after completing all my homework. That's fair, right? No matter which option I choose, I know my parents are giving me this opportunity because they care about my education and want me to develop a lifelong love of learning. Maybe I'll pick books this time since they are more affordable, and then ask for a computer next year. Or perhaps an e-reader compromise would be ideal - I'd get the best of both worlds between real books and digital reading material! At the end of the day, I'm grateful to have such a tough decision to make. Many kids don't have access to quality reading materials or technology for learning. I'm lucky that my biggest worry is whether to pick one incredible educational resource oranother. No matter which one I ultimately decide, I know it will open up new intellectual avenues and make me a smarter, more well-rounded student. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go plead my case to my parents!。

In this essay, we will explore the benefits and drawbacks of each option to help you make an informed decision. When it comes to buying books, there are several advantages to consider. Firstly, books offer a tangible experience that cannot be replicated by digital devices. The smell of the paper, the weight of the book in your hands, and the satisfaction of turning the pages all contribute to a unique reading experience. Additionally, owning physical books allows you to build a personal library that can be displayed and shared with others.Furthermore, buying books supports the publishing industry and helps to preserve traditional forms of literature. By purchasing books, you are contributing to the livelihood ofauthors, publishers, and bookstores, and ensuring that printed books remain a viable option for readers. In a world dominated by technology, this can be a valuable way to preserve cultural heritage and promote literacy. On the other hand, buying a computer offers a different set of advantages. With a computer, you have access to a vast array of digital books, articles, and other reading materials that can be downloaded instantly. This can be especially convenient for students, researchers, and professionals who need to access a wide range of information quickly and efficiently. Moreover, a computer can serve as a versatile tool for both work and leisure. With access to the internet, I can enroll in online courses, webinars, tutorials, and workshops that can enhance my knowledge and skills in various fields. Additionally, I can use the computer to practice language learning, coding, graphic design, and other skills that may not be effectively learned through traditional books alone.Furthermore, a computer also facilitates communication, collaboration, and networking. 如果你有足够资金买书还是计算机英语范文
如果你有足够资金买书还是计算机英语范文In a world where technology dominates every aspect of our lives, the question arises: Is it better to invest in books or computers when you have sufficient funds? This dilemma has become increasingly relevant as we witness a shift towards digital content and distance learning. Exploring both perspectives, I will delve into the benefits and drawbacks of investing in either option.Books, for centuries, have been an invaluable source of knowledge. They are often regarded as precious treasures that transcend time and are passed down from generation to generation. With their tangible presence and intricate details, books evoke a sense of nostalgia and intimacy that many find irreplaceable. Reading from physical pages can also enhance one's focus and comprehension, allowing for a deeper connection with the material. Moreover, books offer diverse topics across various genres, enabling individuals to explore different subjects at their own pace.On the other hand, computers offer undeniable advantages in terms of accessibility and versatility. The internet has revolutionized the way we access information, offering instantaneous access to a wealth of resources from around the globe. With just a few clicks, one can gain access to vast online libraries, academic journals, e-books, and interactive learning platforms. Computers also allow for real-time communication with experts or fellow learners through forums or video conferences. Additionally, with the rise of online courses and tutorials, having a computer can provide opportunities for self-paced learning and skill development. However, despite these advantages, there are certain drawbacks to relying solely on computers for learning purposes. One significant concern is the potential distraction posed by social media platforms and entertainment websites. It is easy to get sidetracked during study sessions when notifications continuously pop up or temptations lure us away from our intended goal. Additionally, staring at screens for extended periods may lead to eye strain or other health issues if properprecautions are not taken. Moreover, while computers provide quick information retrieval and interactive learning experiences, they may lack the emotional connection provided by physical books. The act of turning pages and feeling the weight of a book in your hands creates an immersive experience that some argue cannot be replicated digitally. In conclusion,I believe that both books and computers have their merits in education; therefore it is important to strike a balance between these two tools. If fundspermit, the ideal situation would be to invest in both resources. This allows for access to timeless knowledge within books while harnessing the possibilities offered by technology. In this digital age,it is crucial not only to adapt, but also appreciate traditional forms ofeducation, and understand that coexistence leads to comprehensive growth. It is how we embrace each tool's unique qualities that will shape our path towards learning excellence.Apply yourself fully—unplug fromdistractions, respect tradition, and embrace innovation—only then will you truly reap all that modern education has...。

如果你有足够资金买书还是计算机英语作文
如果你有足够资金买书还是计算机英语作文If I Had Enough Money, Which Would I Buy - Books or a Computer?Wow, what an exciting question! If I suddenly had a bunch of money, like a million dollars or something crazy like that, would I spend it on books or a computer? That's a really tough decision. I absolutely love both reading and using computers. They are two of my very favorite things in the whole world!Let me first talk about why I love reading books so much. There's just something magical about opening up a brand new book and being transported to a whole other world. Whether it's a fantasy land with knights and dragons, or just reading about the everyday life of a kid just like me, books have a way of coming alive in my imagination. My favorite author is probably J.K. Rowling because of her amazing Harry Potter series. I've read those books over and over, escaping into the wizarding world whenever I can.I remember when I was really little, maybe 4 or 5 years old, my mom started reading chapter books to me every night before bed. That's when I truly fell in love with reading and stories. We went through all of the classic children's books - The Chroniclesof Narnia, Charlotte's Web, James and the Giant Peach, and so many others. Those cozy nights cuddled up listening to my mom's soothing voice are some of my most cherished childhood memories. Books opened up my mind to creativity and imagination from a very young age.As I got older and became a more independent reader, I've continued to devour books at a rapid pace. I'll read just about any fiction book I can get my hands on - fantasy, mystery, humor, adventure, you name it. But I've also developed a love fornon-fiction books, especially books about animals, outer space, and inventions. There's so much amazing knowledge to gain from books. Whenever I have a question about a topic, I know I can find a great book on it at my school library or local public library.I honestly can't imagine a life without books. They educate me, they entertain me, they inspire me to dream big. Having a personal library of my favorite books would be the ultimate! Maybe I could have a huge rainbow bookshelf, with all the book spines creating a gorgeous colorful rainbow when lined up properly. Or maybe a window seat area with comfy pillows and great natural light for reading. A girl can dream! On the other hand, I'm also incredibly fascinated and passionate about computers and technology. I've grown up in such an amazing time when computers are a huge part of everyday life. My parents let me use tablets and laptops from a very young age to play educational games, and now I can't get enough of computers!Whenever we have computer time at school, I get so excited. Learning coding and programming is probably my favorite part of computer class. It's like learning a puzzle game, but instead of just solving puzzles, you're building new programs and applications to solve all kinds of problems. Sometimes I'll spend hours on coding games and websites like Scratch just messing around and trying to create new things. I don't even realize how much time goes by because I get so fully immersed in the creative process.I'm constantly in awe of all the incredible things computers and technology allow us to do in the modern age. With a computer, you can connect with friends across the world through things like video chatting and online games. You can learn about literally any topic by browsing the vast information on the internet. Computers are used to create amazing animated movies with breath-taking special effects. And they're pivotaltools for doing all sorts of productive work too - writing, making calculations, organizing data, and so much more. Just thinking about the future possibilities of even more advanced computers and AI gets me giddy! My dream computer setup would be something professional-grade with a massive display or maybe even triple monitors. I'd want the latest fastest processing chips and graphics card to ensure super speedy performance. Maybe a standing desk that could adjust heights so I'm not always sitting. Oh and of course all the coolest gamer accessories like a deluxe keyboard, mouse, headset, and those awesome RGB lights! A computer like that would be a marvel for both gaming and productive activities.Truly, I don't think I could live without books nor computers at this point. They've both become integral parts of who I am - the innovator, the problem-solver, the creative thinker. Books nurture the storyteller, dreamer side of my personality. While computers nurture the tech genius, developer side. I need a solid balance of both in my life.So if I really had to choose just one with a bunch of money, I think I'd probably go puters. As much as I adore reading, I'm quite enamored with the potential of technology. With a computer, I can read ebooks anyway. And in our rapidly advancing digital age, having strong computer skills will set me up for success no matter what career I pursue. My hope is that by pursuing my passion for computer science now, maybe one day I could even help create new mindblowing technologies that further combine the physical and digital worlds. But you can bet that no matter how much money I spend on computers and tech, I'll always still be spending a good chunk on building up my。

Topic: 167
Our school has been given a grant to make necessary improvements to its facilities. We can spend it on new books for the library or on more computers. Our school already has books in its library and it already has computers. Since we have more books than computers, I think that new computers will benefit the students more.
Computers can access up-to-date information on the Internet. Right now, the reference books in our library are very outdated. Our encyclopedia set is eight years old. But if every student had access to a computer, we all could have the latest facts and figures on everything.
Unfortunately, giving every student a computer means we need a lot of computers. Right now, the ratio of computers to students is one to twelve. This means students only get to work on the computers three or four times a week. But if every student had a computer, we could use it whenever we wanted.
"Information on demand" should be our slogan. Students today need lots of information right away. Life goes by too quickly to wait. It takes forever to identify a book that you think might have the information you need. Then you have to go to the library and look for the book. Usually it's not even there.
With a computer, information searches are instantaneous. If we all had computers, we could access more information and access it faster by computer. We could have all the information we needed for our schoolwork. We could all improve our grades. For these reasons, I feel that purchasing more computers will benefit us more than buying more books.
