Keeping pace with teachers is a fine way to study English. Teachers are experienced and their plans are systematic. But remember to work in a way that suits you. It's important to learn from past mistakes as well. Keep a notebook to make a record of the mistakes you make-it'll help you avoid making the same ones later.
The time of life may be hard, but you're not alone. You may be busy studying, but you can show your care by calling your friends or sending short messages. Don't let your friendships die.
It's as important to live well as it is to study well. Going to bed no later than 11:30pm is vital. It puts you in the right mood for the next day. You needn't follow a special diet, but make sure you are eating nutritious meals each day.
The person who plays well, studies well. Having a lot of schoolwork doesn't mean having to give up other activities. Playing basketball or having a talk with your classmates can relax yourself. Time_out is not a waste of time but helps you study more efficiently.
Besides taking the big exam, you have other choices for college. I took the independent enrollment exam held by Peking University and some other students even were preparing to study abroad. Pay attention to any relevant information you can find, whether it's from school, the news media or other sources.
21.What should you do if you want to keep your friendship fresh?
A.Have frequent talks with them. B.Always have lunch with them. C.Remain them at some distance. D.Keep connection by some ways.
22.The third paragraph is mainly about________.
A.study.B.friendship.C.relaxation.D.health. 23.Which one is the closest meaning to “Time out” in Paragraph 4?
A.Sleep. B.Exercise. C.Continuation. D.Pause. 24.The passage is mainly written by a(n)________.
A.editor B.student C.teacher D.parent

Different people like doing different things;different people have different hobbies. My brother is fond of collecting stamps. He has a very good collection and he is proud of it. Collecting stamps is easy and interesting. It is great fun. You begin to learn many interesting facts about history and famous people when you start to collect stamps. My grandfather collected coins when he was a boy. Some people collect dolls. My uncle does. When he travels he always brings home dolls from different countries. Some people collect pictures, cups, toys, toy soldiers, books, pencils and many other things.
But collecting things is not the only hobby people have. Some people are fond of travelling or gardening. Very many boys and girls are fond of sport and that is their hobby. My aunt's hobby is taking pictures and my mother is fond of music. If you have one, what is your hobby?
25.The underlined word “them” in Paragraph 2 ref ers to__________.

Welcome to the future. It’s year 2050 and Scotland is now powered completely by“clean”energy.
Homes have entire roofs made of solar materials, rooms are kept warm by wallpaper, and people go to and from work in electric and hydrogen( 氢) cars. Oil is still being found in the North Sea, but it’s not now only used to keep aircraft flying. And a new 500---mile underwater link with Iceland has been built to catch heat from the hot springs. There’s still a role for king coal—but the black diamonds are now environment---friendly.
People will be able to import the electricity they need and export any excess(超过的量) they make through rooftop windmills(风车). New technology will store electricity better and provide it on demand. Heat exchangers will provide heating and hot water.
Harmful carbon dioxide waste is being piped offshore to St Fergus and from there into some of the remaining oil—producing fields to be stored safely without entering the atmosphere. Gas remains the preferred energy source of industry and is now shipped in liquid form. But hydrogen is imported through pipelines from France and from a geothermal (地热的) plant in Iceland.
Hydrogen—fuelled cars have become popular. Electric bikes are common in cities using the new urban two—wheel network. Electric vehicles have become common, and their performances have been improved because of the developments in electrical drive technology like high—temperature super conducting motors. Many people leave their vehicles in a giant park
where they can be recharged from the national electrical system . Oilseed rape (油菜) is widely grown to fuel some motors .

32.The passage is written to tell us in the future_____________.
A. Life will be better and better
B. The energy will become cleaner and cleaner
C. People will use some new sources of energy
D. People will pay more attention to the environment

Americans won’t live without cars! Each year there is an increasing number of cars on roads and streets, as millions of new cars are produced. One of every six Americans work at putting together the parts of cars, driving trucks, building roads or filling cars with gas. Most Americans find it hard to think what life would be without a car. However, some have realized the serious problem of air pollution by cars. The polluted air is poisonous and dangerous to health.
One way to get rid of the polluted air is to design a new car that does not pollute. That’s what several large car factories are trying to do.But to build the new car is easier said than done.Progress in this field has been slow.Another way is to take place of the car engine by something else.Engineers are now working on some new cars. Many makers believe that it will take years to develop a practical model that pleases man.
To prevent the world from being polluted by cars, we’ll have to make some changes in the way many of us live.Americans, for example, have to cut down the number of their cars they are encouraged to travel and go to work by bike.Riding a bike is thought to help keep the air clean. But this change does not come easily.A large number of workers may find themselves with no jobs if a car factory closes down. And the problem of air pollution would become less important than that of unemployment.
33.Large car factories are trying to build a clean car, .
A.Which is clean itself
B.Which is used to clean streets
C.Which does not pollute the air
D.Which is easier to make
34.If the number of cars is cut down, the most serious problem in American workers is .

With people’s lives becoming richer and richer, more and more people love travelling to spend their holiday. We have made a survey on it in our class recently. Different students have different ideas.
Most of the students hold the view that it has many advantages to travel. Firstly, we can have an access to relax ourselves. Secondly, travelling different places, we can broaden our mind and enrich our knowledge.
However, some students believe that people’s travelling does great harm to the environment. In addition, so many people travel at the same time, which naturally causes traffic problems.
In my opinion, every coin has two sides. While we’re on holiday, we’d better be careful to avoid polluting the environment. Then we can enjoy ourselves.。
