What happened?

A scientist in England put steam and wheels together .The steam train appeared.
The new Maglevs(磁悬浮列车)can now go faster than bullet trains, at the speed of 480 kilometers per hour. People call them Maglevs because they run above special tracks held up by magnetic force(磁力).
Some trains have become famous for their speed, others for their luxury(豪华). The Orient Express(东方快车) is one example. It started in 1883,travelling from Paris in France to Turkey. It still travels over part of this line today. Passengers must pay six times of the normal ticket’s price.
The trains go on the railways.
Today, most people can take a train to travel easily.
They are passengers.

What do you know about trains?
In 1801,a steam locomotive(蒸汽机车)built by Englishman Richard Trevithick ran on rails for the first time. Trevithick planned his steam engine to take 10 tons of iron 15 kilometers along a railroad. But in fact his engine carried not only the iron, but also 70 workers. Twenty-four years later, another engineer, George Stephenson, built a new locomotive. This was the beginning of the passenger train.
