通过两个任务“制作你最喜欢的三明治”和“为家人设计一顿西式早餐”的完成,以及贯穿其中的游戏,让学生将所学的内容利用起来,并且应用到生活当中,体验到学以致用的成就感和快乐。
教学内容
《义务教育课程标准实验教科书·英语》(人教版)八年级上册第7单元Section B的第一课时。
本课是新目标英语八年级上册第7单元Section B部分,本单元的语言目标是“Describe a process and follow instructions”(询问和描述过程,能够依据指示语做事情)。
Section B 的第一课时是在Section A 的基础上的拓展和延伸。
它通过描述三明治的制作过程,复习了目标语言,巩固了本单元的语法(可数名词和不可数名词,how many & how much的应用),对单元的语言知识和语言能力的再利用和提升。
本课以“三明治的制作”为主要的教学内容,训练学生的听说读写能力,尤其提高了写作能力。
教学目标
按语言知识、语言技能、学习策略、情感态度、文化意识五个方面将本课时的教学目标细化:
(1) 知识目标:
学习掌握词汇sandwich, butter, relish, turkey slices, lettuce
学会描述制作三明治的过程
语法:可数名词和不可数名词的使用,how much& how many的用法
(2) 能力目标:在语言输入的同时完成语言输出,在听说读写中提高语言技能,提高综合运用语言的能力。
着重培养学生口语表达和书写能力的能力。
(3) 情感目标和策略:通过学习三明治的制作和两个任务的完成,引导学生做些家务,为家人准备早餐。
通过小组合作学习,培养学生的合作精神和合作意识。
学生主动参与学习活动,在合作中完成学习任务,增进友谊。
不同程度的学生通过在小组内完成任务,都能有所提高。
(4) 文化意识:导入部分,趣味故事——三明治的由来,让学生了解不同的
文化。
(5) 多元评价:我在本课教学过程中,注重教学方法的灵活性,通过任务型教学法,游戏教学法,合作学习法等,激发学生学习的兴趣,让学生乐于接受,易于接受。
在活动过程中主要采用生生评价,师生评价和自我评价等的口头评价方式。

一. 导入的设计:
1. 用制作三明治的短片进行导入,使学生能迅速进入新课的学习。
这个短片呈现了制作三明治的材料(ingredients),并且解说了整个过程(process)。
这样的导入导出了学习的内容(new words), 导出了本课时的教学主题(process of making sandwiches),主题鲜明,紧扣教学,实效性强。
2. 短片之后,讲一个趣味小故事,介绍三明治的产生,引起学生的兴趣。
3. 与之环环相扣的是一个记忆游戏(memory game)。
学生回忆刚才短片中所看到的材料,教师通过幻灯片进行呈现图片和单词,自然过渡到新词的呈现。
这种游戏竞赛法能刺激学生的大脑,集中学生的注意力。
二. Pre-task 的设计:
4. 用句型Do you like…来操练新单词,巩固词汇。
这个环节的设计主要是通过师生互动和生生互动的对话方式解决本课时的重点(new words)。
通过句型操练之后,学生把这些对话统一起来,做个summary. In my sandwich, I like… I don’t like… 这为下面的任务一的开展埋下了伏笔。
5. 在Pre- task中,我还利用了教材2a/2b上的任务型听力,对学生进行听力训练。
通过听力对学生输入目标语言,激活了学生对三明治制作过程的已有知识,也为任务的开展打下了基础。
三. While-task的设计:
在任务环节活动中,我设计了两个不同的任务。
这两个任务的难度和侧重点都不同。
从难度上说,第一个任务“How to make your favorite sandwich?” 是对所学语言知识的直接应用,所以难度较低。
第二个任务“Make a special western
breakfast for your family”难度增加。
要求学生在第一个任务完成的基础上,回顾并联系Section A 中所学过的香蕉牛奶奶昔和水果色拉的制作,对新旧内容进行知识的重新整合。
学生通过任务型活动联系实际生活,设计一顿西式的早餐(如:三明治+奶昔+色拉),并写出菜谱。
从侧重点来说,这两个任务所侧重训练学生的语言能力的要求也各有不同。
第一个任务侧重学生阅读和听说的能力的训练和目标语言的习得,解决语法重点。
第二个任务侧重训练学生的写作能力(用提供的材料设计早餐,写出菜谱),巩固目标语言,解决重难点。
Task Ⅰ的设计思路:
学生阅读3a,通过阅读输入目标语言,先完成一个小任务,写出三明治的配料(write ingredients under Vegetables, Meat and Others)。
下面我设计了一个多元化师生互动的课堂互动环节,培养学生的听说能力。
它体现教师的引导和学生的主体地位,带动全员参与。
通过阅读之后,首先教师引导,个别学生回答。
How much butter do you need?
I need one teaspoon of butter. 接着请两个学生一问一答How many onions and tomatoes do you need? I need one onion and one tomato. 下面是一个学生问,全班进行回答How many chicken slices do you need? I need three slices of chicken. 最后是全班问,全班学生答How much relish do you need? I need two teaspoons of relish.这一环节的互动既解决了语法重点,又活跃了课堂气氛。
在这一互动的基础上,学生在小组内进行互动。
他们通过小组合作学习的方式,进行pair wok,完成任务一。
这里的pair work 如下:
A: First, put the butter on a slice of bread.
B: How much butter?
A: one teaspoon of butter.
…
它其实是教材上听力2b之后的2c的改造,因为听力之中并未让学生听出各种材料的数量,对于中下学生在做pair work时会存在困难。
所以我把它用于通过阅读的输入之后进行,这样绝大部分学生会更加容易接受和使用。
Task Ⅱ的设计思路:
第二个任务是“Make a special western breakfast for your family”。
本单元Section A所学到的banana milk shake, salad 和Section B sandwich都是西式食品和饮料。
所以我设计了这个任务让学生把这些所学的知识前后联系起来,通过做西式早餐这一任务的完成,学以致用。
同时这一任务是也为了训练和提高学生的写作能力。
通过用幻灯片呈现,学生抢答的方式复习香蕉牛奶奶昔和水果色拉的制作过
程。
设计一个冰箱,提供制作这些食品和饮料的材料,让学生自由进行选择,设计一顿早餐,并写出菜谱。
四. Post- task的设计:
用竞赛游戏的方式( guessing game) 将学生在任务二中完成的菜谱通过学生读,其它学生猜测这种食品或饮料的名称的方式,展示学生的成果,再次训练学生的听力和目标语言的应用,从而巩固所学。
五. Homework的设计:
通过自评和小组内互评的方式推选出小组的最佳菜谱,这些菜谱将在下节课展示,并给与奖励。
