《摩登时代》 Modern Times

Overview of His Life1、Childhood 童年Charles Spencer Chaplin was born in London, England, on April 16th 1889. His father was a versatile vocalist and actor; and his mother, known under the stage name of Lily Harley, was an attractive actress and singer, who gained a reputation for her work in the light opera field. Charlie was thrown on his own resources before he reached the age of ten as the early death of his father and the subsequent illness of his mother made it necessary for Charlie and his brother, Sydney, to fend for themselves.Having inherited natural talents from their parents, the youngsters took to the stage as the best opportunity for a career. Charlie made his professional debut as a member of a juvenile group called “The Eight Lancashire Lads” and rapidly won popular favour as an outstanding tap dancer.查尔斯斯宾塞卓别林出生于英国伦敦,4月16日1889年。

关于卓别林的英语作文英文回答:I have always been a big fan of Charlie Chaplin, also known as the "Little Tramp". He was a comedic genius and a pioneer in the film industry. His silent films, such as "The Kid" and "City Lights", are timeless classics thatstill make people laugh today. One of the things I love most about Chaplin is his ability to convey emotions and tell stories without saying a single word. His physical comedy and expressive face are truly remarkable. For example, in the film "Modern Times", there is a famous scene where Chaplin's character gets caught in the gears of a massive machine. Without speaking a word, he manages to make the audience both laugh and feel sympathy for his character's plight.Another thing that I admire about Chaplin is his resilience and determination. Despite facing manychallenges and setbacks in his personal and professional life, he never gave up. He once said, "You'll never find a rainbow if you're looking down."
