Describe a city you would recommend as a nice place to live (not your hometown) You should say:What it isWhere it isWhat you know about this placeAnd explain why you recommend it as a nice place to live二、话题参考文本I’ve decided to talk about a place that I often describe as the best city in the world and this city is London. London is the capital of the UK and is located in the south of England. Off the top of my head, it has just under 10 million inhabitants and is teeming with visitors and1holidaymakers.London has a long history and this can be seen in its buildings such as the Houses of Parliament and iconic buildings such as Big Ben and Buckingham Palace where the King of England resides. These buildings give the place a historical feel and in my opinion, it’s like being in a Harry Potter movie when you’re walking around. I would say that London is picturesque because it has a perfect blend of modern and traditional architecture. I like this contrast between the old and new. Paris has this as well but it doesn’t blend it well like London. It is separated into historical and contemporary. In addition to its buildings, London is an unusual city because it is filled with public parks such as Hyde Park. These are huge open spaces filled with trees, flowers and wildlife. For the residents of London who have very little outdoor space, these are not only attractive places but also great for getting fresh air or walking your dog. For those visiting the city, I think these are great places to visit and have a picnic, if it isn’t raining if you haven’t heard, it rains a lot in England!2One of the main reasons I’d recommend London is that it is a multicultural city and this makes it colorful as you have places such as Chinatown where there are a large number of Chinese restaurants. If you’re a football fan, you can go to the football stadiums such as Wembley Stadium which is home to the England football team and to me, it’s a stunningly beautiful stadium.Words & expressions in this episode1. holidaymaker n.
Describe an important event that you celebrated 庆祝的重要事件.doc
Describe an important event that you celebrated
Describe an important event that you celebratedYou should say:What it wasWhere it happenedWhy it was importantHow people felt about it我要说的重要事项是中国网球运动员李娜在2011年获得法国网球公开赛的冠军。
The important event I am going to talk about is that Lina, a Chinese female tennis player, won the championship of French Open in 2011.

Describle an important object for youI've been asked to talk about a small object, and so I guess the most useful small object to me is my mobile phone. I use my phone whenever I'm travelling around Beijing, and also to make sure I can get ,in immediate touch with my clients, because often they make fast decisions and are looking at various options at the same time, so time is very precious. I've had my mobile phone for about a year. At the time it was about 2000RMB, but I believe now you can get one for about 1500RMB. At that time it was considered to be very basic and small. Now the new phones are also small, but they are also much more sophisticated with so many different functions.I know some people it as a toy, or just as an ego booster, but I really have to have one because I'm a real estate agent. You know, I travel around the city a lot and if my company secretary can't reach me then I'dwaste a lot of time having to keep phoning the headquarters at some pay phone, store or booth. There are also a lot of details and facts that I need to keep checking back on whenever I'm preparing to meet a client.。

Describe an important plant in your country. You should say:what the plant is;how you know it;why it is important;and explain how much you like this plant.answer:The plum blossom, which is known as the MeiHua, is one of the most beloved flowers in China and has been frequently depicted in Chinese art and poetry for centuries. I fell in love with plum blossom when I first saw them in a Flower Exhibition several years ago. Ever since then, I started to learn more about them.Plum blossom is a deciduous tree that starts to flower in mid-winter, typically around January until late February. They have strong fragrant scent. And their colors are in varying shades of white, pink, and red. The leave which is oval-shaped with a pointed tip will only appear shortly after the falling of petals. The plum blossom is seen as a symbol of Winter and a harbinger of Spring. The blossoms are so special because they are viewed as blooming most vibrantly amidst the winter snow, exuding an ethereal elegance, while their fragrance is noticed to still subtly pervade the air at even thecoldest times of the year. Therefore the plum blossom came to symbolize perseverance and hope, but also beauty, purity, and the transitoriness of life. In Confucianism, the plum blossom stands for the principles and values of virtue. More recently, it has also been used as a metaphor to symbolize revolutionary struggle since the turn of the 20th century.I love plum blossom because of its spirit. It is the most significant flower since it symbolize the resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity during the harsh time. I would love to be like plum blossom so that I would be strong enough to stay tough no matter what hardship I conquer in life.In a word, plum blossom is important to me because of its essence. It is important in our culture since it represents Chinese people’s virtue.Describe a math class you ever had beforeYou should say:When and where you had this classWhat you learned in this classHow you learned in the classAnd explain your feeling about this math classanswer:There was one math class I have ever had which I found quite unforgettable. It was one of my primary school math lessons when I was a child, studying in my hometown. The teacher was a lovely lady called Ms. He.In the class, we got the basic understanding of parallel lines and perpendicular ones. Our teacher Ms. He started by asking us to identify parallel or perpendicular to the phenomenon in the sports arena, e.g. single and parallel bars. After that, we were told to place two sticks in various ways, which we had different results of two lines—“Two straight lines that do not intersect are called Parallel line s. It can be said that these two straight lines parallel to each other. If the two straight lines intersect at right angles, then these two straight lines perpendicular to one another.”I liked the way by which our teacher Ms. He taught in this class. She allowed us to combine life situations with abstract knowledge so that we could start to have vivid connection in the process of cultivating our concepts of space and spatial imagination. Furthermore, Ms. He made good use of our observation and thinking by asking us to have some actual hands-on activities which made the math class lively. It was of great help in attracting our attention. So, I will not forget this interesting math class.Describe a physics experiment you ever didYou should say:When you did the experimentWhat kind of experiment you didWhat the process wasAnd explain what you learned from this experiment.answer:When I was in middle school, I was especially fond of doing experiment while studying Physics. There was one particular experiment I would always remember. It was called boiling frog.To start the experiment, we first put a frog into a pot of boiling water. Then the frog leaped out right away to escape the danger. For the second round, we put the frog in a pot which was full of cool and pleasant water. However, this pot was gradually warmed up until it started to boil. It was so interesting to found out that the frog would not be aware of the danger until it was too late. That was to say, the frog’s survival instincts were geared towards detecting sudden changes.I learned a lot from this experiment. This phenomenon has often been used as a metaphor for the inability of people to react to important changes that occur gradually. Thus, we would have to be careful in those slowly changing trends in our surroundings.I fancy this kind of vivid learning. I learn as I do the experiment myself.2013年2月雅思口语预测复习资料Part 1 Q & AWhat is your full name?Does your Chinese name have any special meaning?Do you think you would change your name in the future?2.Study or workDo you work or Are you a student? If student: What subjects or major are you studying? Part2 an important place in your city满分答案一、真题再现Describe an important place like (stadium, swimming pool)in your cityYou should say:Where it isHow often you go thereWhat people do thereAnd explain why you think it is important. I'm going to talk about the public swimming pool in the southwest of my hometown. It's right next to our public library, which is kind of a landmark in the city, so it's really easy to find.I like to go to this place in the summer coz I go to university in another city, I can't go1there when I'm at school. But when the term ends, especially during the summer holiday, I go there pretty regularly, something around 2 or 3 times a week.Obviously, people just go swimming there. You can see people of all age groups at the pool - old people, young people, kids. Many children go there to learn swimming. In fact, this is exactly what I did when I was a child. When I was 4 or 5 years old, my dad took me there to teach me how to swim. He said that swimming was a walk in the park, but I just found it super difficult. It took me weeks to master it.Anyway, I think this swimming pool is a really important place in the city because it provides the local residents with a place to work out, to live a healthy life. In my opinion, swimming is the best sport there is coz it's relaxing, it doens't make you feel too exhausted and it trains any part of your body.三、重点词汇:Right next to ... 正挨着...Landmark 地标2At university 上大学When the term ends 学期结束之后On a pretty regular basis 很经常Breaststroke 蛙泳Butterfly stroke 蝶泳A walk in the park 很简单的事Master sth 熟练掌握...Work out 健身Live a healthy life 过健康的生活Trains any part of your body

Describe an important letter you received(重要信件)You should say:When you received itWho sent itWhat it was aboutWhy it was important to youOk, well I suppose one of the most important letters Ive received was an offer letter from a university I applied to Leeds University, to be precise so thats what I think Ill talk about. And as for who the letter was from, well, I cant quite remember the name of the actual person who wrote it, Im afraid, but if Im not mistaken, it was sent by the university admissions office, who I guess are responsible for handling such matters.Anyway, regarding what the letter was about, well basically, it was just informing me that I had been accepted onto their Masters program in Finance, so it was really great news for me, because this was the course that I most wantedto study, and out of all the various universities that I applied to, Leeds was definitely top of my list, as it was the one that most appealed to me, in terms of both the course content and social life. So, as you can imagine, I was over the moon after receiving the offer. I mean, it felt like all the years of hard work Ive put into my studies seemed to have finally paid off, so it was like a dream come true for me, it really was.And finally then, with regard to why this letter was important, well, I think it goes without saying that it was extremely important, because essentially, it means that Im gonna be able to study abroad, which Im sure will have a huge impact on my future career, as it will hopefully enable me to apply for jobs which I wouldnt have otherwise been considered for.And as well as this, I reckon that studying abroad will help me become more mature and independent, which Ive noticed has happened with a few of my friends who have spent some time abroad, and Im sure thisll have a positive effect on my life in general. So its a big opportunity for me, and Im really lookingforward to it!2雅思口语犯过的错误话题Describe a mistake you once made. You should say:what it washow you made this mistakewhen it wasand explain how it affected you. The biggest mistake in my life was falling in love with the wrong girl who had a completely different view of life, love and relationship. I was hardly 17 years old when I fall hard for this girl.Initially, we were classmates and then became friends. In a year I started to feel something about her that was quite extraordinary and hard to explain. I guess people call this love. My whole world started to shift and I was surrounded by a mirage for this whole time. Not a single moment had passed when I didnt think about her. She was the centre and power source of my universe. When I proposed her, sheexpressed her boundless joys and acted as if I should have proposed her earlier. So far, this is a sweet and innocent love story of a teenager and I was happy to have her in my life. However, it took me only a few months to realise that she was not serious about our relationship. When she was my whole world, I was her just another temporary boyfriend. The relationship ended in ten months and I was so broken-hearted that I could not concentrate on anything for a while. My parents also knew about it and they were very supportive of me. First few days, it was quite difficult for me to get back to my normal life, study or go outside. I simply could not appease my mind that I made a great mistake and it was like an illusion that I need to come out from soon. However, whenI started realising that I made a big mistake by approachinga serious relationship without even knowing the girl genuinely, I started making peace with my mind. I was completely honest with myself and that eventually helped me to get out of the depressive time I went through at that time. The lesson learned from this mistake made me more cautious about making any kind of relationship and I am happy thatI took this mistake as an event to learn a lesson. However, I often feel bad that how someone could be so naive to play with someones sentiment so cheaply.3雅思口语environmentalist话题Describe a person who helps to protect the environment.

Today, I would like to talk about a charismatic person I met a year ago.Last year I was going to Mumbai by train for an official meeting. On the way, a young lady boarded the train from a small railway station. She occupied the seat in front of me. Very soon we started talking about our hobbies, studies and work etc. Her name was Sukriti Singh. She was a second-year student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. One particular thing which made her quite special was her high confidence level. Normally, girls don’t travel alone in my country. In most cases, they are accompanied by their parents or some other family member. But, since she was on her own, that clearly reflected her boldness.I found this girl very interesting. Her in-depth knowledge of latest technology and space science made me re-think about my opinion about females. I used to think that Indian women are only interested in fashion. Science is not their cup of tea. But, this meeting was a real mind-changer. She helped open my eyes towards the common attitude of ignorance males have towards females regarding their intelligence. Now, I fully understand that women have the potential to succeed in any field. You should say:Who he/she iswhat he/she didWhen you first knew him or herand why you are interested in him/her雅思口语part2高分话题范文参考:历史人物(Describe a historical person that you are interested )The United States of America is a land of historical events. Besides, the country is also famous for some of its heroic sons. Abraham Lincoln is one of them. I am really glad that I got the opportunity to talk about him for the next few minutes.I knew about Lincoln from the history class when I was in high school . Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the USA. During his reign, the situations were unusual. The country went under some serious critical moments and the Civil Warwas one of them. Besides, there were some political and constitutional crises as well. But Lincoln controlled the situations in an efficient manner. It is Abraham Lincoln who abolished the slavery. Before the abolition of this system, racism was at its peak. Lincoln also did some other notable activities. He is the man who also made the federal government system stronger. The modern economy actually started its journey with the association of this President. In fact, many of the facilities we are enjoying today are the gift of this smart man.Yes, I like him much. He is a historical figure in the history of the USA. He served the country as a great guardian and wanted to improve the existing norms and rules. Accordingly, a good number of changes took place in the country and we are bearing the legacy in the present days. It is really a matter of courage indeed to rule a nation during a bloody war and provide the right directives, working amid internal crisis and more. He also supervised and set strategies during the war so that the losses are minimal. All of his attempts were humane and he dreamt of a modern America. He emancipated the slavery in the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution for the USA. In fact, this the greatest tasks he has ever done and for this reason, a majority of the US citizens like me hail him. You should say:What is the name of the bookwhat type of book it ishow you knew this bookand explain why you like to recommend this book to your friend雅思口语part2高分话题范文参考:描述一本让人振奋的书(Describe an exciting book you have read)One of the books that I have recently read is called At Home: A Short History of Private Life by an author called Bill Bryson. It is a thick, factual bookabout many different subjects. It is really a collection of information and anecdotes related to our private lives, past and present. The book is mainly about things that have been included in our homes over the centuries. The author started out by wondering about the history of everything in his own home. As it is a factual book rather than a novel, it does not have a plot as such. Each chapter in the book covers the history of a particular room. For example, the chapter on the kitchen talks about the history of running water, electricity, gas cooking and so on. The chapter aboutthe bathroom looks at the history of plumbing, sanitation and privacy. The bookcontains so much interesting information that I think I will have to read it again in order to take it all in.As to the kind of people who would enjoy it, I think anybody who is interested in history and enjoys learning lots of interesting facts would enjoy reading this book. It would also appeal to a busy person, as it’s a good book to dip in and out of, because you don’t have to follow a story, as you would with a novel. You can just take it chapter by chapter, or even page by page, as there is something to learn on every page. Each chapter is written like a story, even though it is a factual book, so it takes the reader to all sorts of unexpected places, and for me it was a real page-turner.I like this book because I learned such a huge amount from it, which has made me look around my own home with different eyes and appreciate just how far we have come in a short space of time in terms of architecture, technology, lighting, comfort and many other things. Describe a website that you like to visit. You should say:What the website isWhat it is used forWhen you used itAnd explain why you think it was interesting. (Describe a website that helps a lot)Today, I am going to tell you about one website which I’m really interested in. They were my little bundles of joy whilst I was growing up.When I was much younger I had another cat, called William. Sadly he was run over by a bus one day in front of our house. I can remember very vividly, one day I came home from school and my mum told me to look in the kitchen. I saw Topsy and Truvy and it was love at first sight. She told me when she had gone to collect them she only intended to buy one kitten, she put Topsy into the box and Turvy was mewing so loudly and scratching the box. She decided they were soul mates and couldn’t separate them.I have no idea what kind of cats they were, all I can tell you is that they were painfully cute. Topsy was ginger and Turvy was ginger and white. Turvy had little white patches on his paws that made it look like he was wearing mittens. Topsy was a little furrier and made him look fat. One was shy and the other more outgoing. Like all brothers, they would sometimes fight and at other times cuddle up together.Alas, they are no longer with us. Topsy passed away a few years ago and years finally caught up with Turvy finally as she bit the bullet last year.I knew that they would not live as long as me, but it’s still depressing to lose someone you love. Describe a gift that took you a long time to prepare. You should say:when it happenedwhat the gift iswhy it took you so long to chooseand explain how he or she reacted to your gift.I pride myself on finding the best presents, especially when they’re for my nearest and dearest. It was a very special moment for us both, so I knew it would have sentimental value to her.But that wasn’t the half of it, next I had to pick out a frame for the picture. My girlfriend is a notoriously picky person, so I knew I had to getLuckily the frame I opted for was right on the money. When she unwrapped the gift, her eyes lit up, she was elated and gave me a big kiss. For the rest of the day, she was beaming and I couldn’t wipe the smile of her face. 雅思口语describe an important thing you learned

Describe an important letter you received 收到的重要信件.doc
Describe an important letter you received
Describe an important letter you received You should say:When you received it? 你什么时候收到的Who sent it? 谁寄的这封信What it was about? And explain why it was important?
⼀、参考范⽂ It is really tough to pick one particular scientific invention that had positively influenced human race as there are possibly hundreds and thousands of such inventions. I would like to pick the 'Light Bulb' as one such invention that has very positively influenced human race. This single invention of science has uplifted the human race towards prosperity and modern world. Think about a world without any lights in the dark and we would have been no different than living in a cave. The great scientist Thomas Edison is credited to invent the light bulb and till then many improvements have been done to it. The bulb is the main source of illumination and light at night time when the Sun is hiding in the opposite side of the world. We are so habituated with the electricity and light bulbs that we might wonder if it is a life changing invention or not. But think about living your life for few days without the bulbs and then you would realize the true importance of this single invention. Some may argue that fuel powered lighting system could have been alternative to it, but the reality is that, that would have been too expensive and could not have been an easy source for lighting the houses, Think about the other living beings other than human; they mostly get back to their living place in the evening and except some nocturnal animals and birds, most of them stay at their living place till the morning. They rarely do anything at night and that's because they are afraid of dark and have no vision to see at night. As human, we could have some lighting system if we did not know how to light a bulb but that would not have been so widespread without the invention of light bulb. Scientific inventions are interrelated and one invention or theory inspired and accelerates the invention of other important inventions. Light bulb is one such invention that has inspired the invention and research of other inventions. This is the single invention that has made us free from being active only at day time when the sun is there. Tips for answering this Cue Card Topic: This cue card should be an easy one if you can talk about any important invention, a bit about the inventor and how this invention has affected our lives. Note that invention and discovery are different. Discovery is exploring and finding out something that preexisted and nothing new to the world. Only people did not know till the discovery if it existed or not. Meanings of discovery are: to make known; reveal; disclose and from these meaning we can find that discovering means to reveal something of finding something that already existed but we did not know where. For instance, discovering America. On the other hand Invention is creating/ giving idea or making something entirely new either using objects that preexist to create something entirely new or to create something that is first of its kind. Meanings of invention are: to come upon, to create. From the meaning we can say that invention is creating something entirely new of its kind. To invent this new thing the inventor may use preexisting materials but the final outcome has to be completely new. For instance, we say invention of telephone. You would need to talk about a famous invention as the cue card asks you to talk about that has positively affected the entire human race. Very insignificant inventions may have affected some people of a certain geographic location but there are many inventions like telephone, computer, television have greatly affected the whole human race. So to perfectly talk about such invention you should talk about such an invention that has affected the lifestyle of the people of the world and are widely used in the world. Following are some of the most influential inventions that you can talk about. Paper There are several other important inventions in the history that has changed the world. But in the above list you would notice that only the very common inventions that we know from our daily use have been added so that you can talk about these known inventions. Pick an invention and do some Googling. You would get details information about the invention and you should take some notes from those details to prepare for this cue card topic. 雅思口语describe an important thing you learned
Describe an Important Thing You LearnedIntroductionIn our journey of life, we constantly learn new things that shape our perspectives and help us grow. Today, I would like to share asignificant lesson that has had a profound impact on me. This lesson has taught me the value of perseverance, the importance of embracing failures, and the power of never giving up.Importance of PerseverancePerseverance as a Key to SuccessPerseverance is the quality of continuing to do something despite difficulties and obstacles. It plays a crucial role in achieving success in various aspects of life, such as academics, career, and personal relationships. I learned through personal experience and observationthat success does not come easily or overnight. It requires dedication, hard work, and a determined mindset.Learning from Thomas EdisonOne inspiring example of perseverance is the story of Thomas Edison, the renowned inventor. Edison failed countless times before inventing the electric light bulb. Instead of being discouraged by failure, he famously said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”Overcoming ChallengesPerseverance helps us overcome challenges and difficulties that come our way. It enables us to stay motivated and focused on our goals, even during tough times. By persevering, we build resilience and develop a positive attitude towards setbacks. It is through perseverance that welearn valuable lessons that contribute to our personal growth and development.Embracing FailuresChanging Our Perspective on FailureFailure is often considered a negative outcome, but it is an essential part of the learning process. Embracing failures allows us to view them as opportunities for growth and improvement. Instead of being demoralized by failures, we should assess what went wrong, learn from our mistakes, and use them as stepping stones towards success.Learning from J.K. RowlingJ.K. Rowling, the author of the famous Harry Potter series, faced numerous rejections before finding a publisher. She turned her failures into a motivation to continue pursuing her dreams. Rowling once said, “It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all.”Gaining Valuable InsightsFailures provide us with valuable insights that we might not otherwise attain. They teach us resilience, adaptability, and creativity. Each failure brings us closer to success by revealing our weaknesses and areas for improvement. Embracing failure allows us to develop a growth mindset and become stronger individuals. The Power of Never Giving UpPersistence and DeterminationWhen faced with challenges and setbacks, it is crucial to never give up. Persistence and determination are key factors in achieving our goals. By consistently striving towards our objectives, we increase our chances ofsuccess. Even in moments of doubt and difficulty, it is essential tostay focused and keep pushing forward.Inspired by Walt DisneyWalt Disney, the founder of the Disney company, faced many failures and rejections before achieving his dreams. Despite numerous obstacles, he continued to pursue his vision of creating a magical world of entertainment. His story serves as a reminder of the power of nevergiving up and the possibilities that can be achieved through perseverance.Finding Inner StrengthWhen we refuse to give up, we discover our inner strength and resilience. Challenges become opportunities for personal growth and self-discovery. It is during challenging times that we develop character, determination, and unwavering resolve. The power of never giving up lies within eachone of us, waiting to be unleashed.ConclusionIn conclusion, the important lesson I have learned is the significanceof perseverance, the embrace of failures, and the power of never giving up. Perseverance allows us to overcome obstacles and achieve success, while embracing failures helps us grow and learn from our mistakes. The power of never giving up enables us to continue pursuing our dreams, no matter how difficult the journey may be. I believe that these lessonsare valuable for anyone seeking personal and professional growth, making them essential for everyone’s life journey.。
Describe a person you know who has a healthy lifestyle. You should say:who he /she ishow you know this personwhat sort of person he/she isand explain why you think he/she has a healthy lifestyle前考官范文Ok then, well, as soon as I saw this topic, I immediately thought of my next door neighbour, who I have to say, must be one of the healthiest people I know, as Ill shortly explain, so hes the person Im gonna talk about. And as for how I know him, well, if my memory serves me correctly, the first time we met was actually in the lift of our apartment block, because I had just been taking my dogs out for a walk, and by the looks of it, he had just got back from a run, cos he was in a tracksuit and was sweating a little bit. And when he saw my dogs his face lit up, so he asked if he could stroke them, and thats basically how we got to know each other.Anyway, moving on to what sort of person he is, well, to put it simply, Id say that hes a really sociable and friendly guy, which you can probably tell from the example I gave just now of how we met. But the main reason for saying this is that he often invites me, as well as other friends of his, over to his flat for lunch or dinner, which is really nice of him, especially considering the fact that Ive never invited him for a meal before, mainly because Im hopeless at cooking. So I kind of feel a bit guilty about that, even though he keeps telling me not to worry about it, and that also just goes to show what a nice guy he is.Anyway, with regard to why I think he has a healthy lifestyle, well I suppose the biggest reason would be that hes a real fitness fanatic, you know, he goes for a run literally every morning, rain or shine, and I know this because, on more than one occasion, Ive looked out of my living room window and seen him running in the pouring rain, which to me is kind of crazy, but to him its just normal. And finally I should also mention the fact that he looks much younger than he really is. You know, I couldnt believe it when he told me how old he was, because I originally thought he was in his early forties or something, but hes actually over fifty, and when I asked him what his secret was for looking so young, he simply said that he always made sure to get at least eight hours of sleep a day. So ever since he told me that, Ive tried to develop the same habit myself, although to be honest with you, Im not succeeding too well so far.雅思口语part2考官范文:product from another country that you bought购买的海外商品Describe a product from another country that you bought. You should say:what it waswhere you bought itwhat you use it forand explain why you bought it. Ok, well the first thing that came to mind when I saw this topic was olive oil, because I bought a bottle of it not that long ago, and if I’m not mistaken, I think it was from either Italy or Spain, so that’s what I’ve decided to talk about. And as for where I got it, well, it was actually just from my local supermarket, because it’s now started selling quite a few imported products, which I’m really happy about, as I alwaysenjoy trying new things, especially stuff from other countries. And with regard to what I use the olive oil for, well, I’d say I use it for most of my cooking now, because it goes well with pretty much everything, especially bread and pasta, as you probably know, so I’m getting through it quite quickly, and I think I’m actually turning into a bit of an addict! But anyway, as for what made me decide to buy it, well firstly, it’s apparently meant to be really good for you, so it’s basically a lot healthier than most other kinds of cooking oil. And another thing to mention would be that I remember tasting some olive oil at a Western restaurant I went to a couple of weeks ago, and I liked it so much that I made a mental note to get some when I next went to the supermarket. So yeah, I guess these would be the main reasons, and even though it’s quite a bit more expensive than ordinary cooking oil, I reckon it’s definitely worth it.雅思口语part2考官范文:important letter that you received Describe an important letter that you received. You should say:who wrote itwhat the letter was abouthow you felt about the letterand explain why it was important. Ok, well I suppose one of the most important letters I’ve received was an offer letter from a university I applied to –Leeds University, to be precise –so that’s what I think I’ll talk about. And as for who the letter was from, well, I cant quite remember the name of the actual person who wrote it, I’m afraid, but if I’m not mistaken, it was sent by the university admissions office, who I guess are responsible for handling such matters.Anyway, regarding what the letter was about, well basically, it was just informing me that I had been accepted onto their Master’s program in Finance, so it was really great news for me, because this was the course that I most wanted to study, and out of all the various universities that I applied to, Leeds was definitely top of my list, as it was the one that most appealed to me, in terms of both the course content and social life. So, as you can imagine, I was over the moon after receiving the offer. I mean, it felt like all the years of hard work I’ve put into my studies seemed to have finally paid off, so it was like adream come true for me, it really was.And finally then, with regard to why this letter was important, well, I think it goes without saying that it was extremely important, because essentially, it means that I’m gonna be able to study abroad, which I’m sure will have a huge impact on my future career, as it will hopefully enable me to apply for jobs which I wouldn’t have otherwise been considered for. And as well as this, I reckon that studying abroad will help me become more mature and independent, which I’ve noticed has happened with a few of my friends who have spent some time abroad, and I’m sure this’ll have a positive effect on my life in general. So it’s a big opportunity for me, and I’m really looking forward to it!雅思口语part2考官范文:an interesting subjectDescribe a subject that you studied that you thought was interesting. You should say:what the subject waswhat your teacher was likehow long you studied this subjectand explain why you thought it was interesting. Ok then, well the subject I’d like to talk about is Economics, because it was one of the few classes that I actually enjoyed, and this was in no small part due to the fact that we had a really great teacher for it.And as for what makes me say that, well first of all, he had a knack of being able to make all of his classes really interesting, and he did this by always asking us questions and getting us to think deeply about all kinds of things related to Economics. So for example, he would often start class by telling us a story that was in some way connected to what we would be going through that day, after which he would then ask us how we thought the story ended, and this really kind of helped arouse our curiosity in the subject. So that’s one thing, and another thing I liked about him was the fact that he seemed to take a genuine interest in all of us, and I could see this in the way he spoke and listened, because you know, it’s pretty easy to tell whether or not a teacher really cares about teaching, and with him I could tell straight away that he enjoyed teaching us and had our best interests at heart. But anyway, as for how long I studied Economics for, wellbasically, it was for two years during high school, so it wasn’t really for all that long, which was a bit of a pity, because as I mentioned earlier, I really enjoyed the classes. And one more thing to mention about them, which I don’t think I’ve said yet, is that we hardly ever went through the text book, which was such a refreshing change from all the other classes I had. So instead, our teacher, who was called Mr. Guise, by the way, would give us things like newspaper clippings or magazine articles to read and discuss, and by doing this, we came to realize just how significant a role Economics played in our lives. So as you can imagine, this made the classes so much more fun than they otherwise would have been if we’d just ploughed through the text book, and I’m very grateful to Mr. Guise for this.

It took longer hours for me to typea single page by searching the letters on the keys. It was a troublesome(麻烦的)task for me and most of the time I had to type different topics on computer. ButI could not complete the tasks in due time for my lack of skills in typing. WhenI started to type, it appeared to me that the letters should be placed on thekeyboard alphabetically for better use. But gradually I learnt that this way isbetter than the alphabetical letters.Basically I learnt the skill at my home using my personal computer. In the very beginning, it was tougher(艰难的) for me to compose anything on the computerwith the keyboard attached with it and it took longer hours for me to compose adocument of three or four pages. Describe an important plant in your country
Describe an important plant in your country
You should say:
What it is
Where you see it
What it looks like
Why it is important

The important plant I am going to tell you is bamboo. It is an evergreen perennial flowering plant and has many sub-species. In the south, it can grow to more than 10 meters and as thick as a small tree. In the north, it is often very slim and its height rarely exceeds three meters.
My grandma used to plant some bamboos in her garden and that is where I first saw them. This article is from Laokaoya website. Do not copy or repost it. They had played an important part in my childhood. I cut off their stems to make bows and arrows, imagining I was an archer shooting enemies in the battleground. I also took off some branches and pretended that I was a swordsman.
As I grow up, I gradually realize its importance in China, which does not come from its rarity, but from what it symbolizes in Chinese culture. It is regarded as a behavior model of the gentleman. As bamboo has features such as uprightness, tenacity, and hollow heart, people endow bamboo with integrity, elegance, and plainness, though it is not physically strong. Countless poems praising bamboo written by ancient Chinese poets are actually metaphorically about people who exhibited these characteristics.
Part 3
Do people in your country like to grow plants at home?
Do old people grow plants?
How do schools teach students to grow plants?
What is the main plant in your country?
