Take off 在句中意为“脱下（衣服等），解（拿）掉”。
另外，take off 还有“（飞机等）起飞；（某段时间）休假/请假；（产品等）大受欢迎”之意。
如：
He took off his wet shoes.
The plane took off despite the fog.
I’m taking the next week off.
The new dictionary has really taken off.
2．In Eng land, we have a saying: It’s the thought that counts.
It’s the thought that counts.是一个强调句型，强调the thought.
强调句的结构是：It is/was + 强调的部分 + that从句,意思是“是......+其它内容”。
注意在强调句型中is/was 不能用are/were 来代替。
如：
It was I that/who firs t came to our school this mor ning.
