雅思(口语)模拟试卷14(题后含答案及解析)
雅思(口语)模拟试卷14(题后含答案及解析) 题型有:1. Speaking ModuleSpeaking Module (10-15 minutes)1.PART 11. The examiner asks the candidate about him/herself, his/her home, work or studies and other familiar topics.EXAMPLE★Work—Do you work or arc you a student?—What work do you do?—What are your responsibilities at work?—Would you like to change your job?—How do you and your colleagues help each other at work?—Do you often get together with your colleagues after work?★Family—Do you live alone or with other people?—What jobs do the people in your immediate family do?—What kind of things do you and your family do together?—Who does the housework in your home?★Festivals—Do you often celebrate festivals in your country?—Do these festivals have special meanings?—Are there any festivals special to your city or region?—What special things do people do during festivals?—Do you celebrate any foreign festivals?正确答案:★Work—I work.—I work as a computer programmer, here in Shanghai.—My main responsibility is to ensure that all the computer prograrmmes in the office are running correctly. I often have to write short, new programmes that do exactly what we need and I also have to correct any programmes that go wrong.—I would like to continue doing this kind of job. It’s something that I’ve been interested in for many years and I think I’m pretty good at it. However, the company that 1 work for doesn’t offer many opportunities for further training, so I’d like to get a job with another company.—Actually, I work alone. I help my colleagues from other departments whenever they need me. If I’m not busy, I take a wall around the different departments and check that everything is OK.—Yes, we often go out somewhere for dinner, particularly if a big project has just been finished. Some of my colleagues then go on to sing karaoke, but I make my excuses and go home at that point.★Family—I live with my wife and daughter in a flat fairly near the city centre. My wife works for a state-owned company and she gets this flat at a reduced rent. We’re saving to buy our own flat in the future, since my wife would prefer to work for a private company or perhaps even start her own business. If she did this, we would not be able to keep our current flat.—My wife is an accountant. Her job is to check that certain departments keep within their budgets. To be honest, I don’t know much about her work accounting isn’t of interest to me.—We eat together. My wife and I agree that it is important to do this. We sometimes watch TV together, if there’s something we all like. At the weekends, we often get in the car and go out into the countryside or we go to one of the parks near our home. My daughter likes playing with a Frisbee, but sometimes she throws it in the wrong direction!—My wife does most of the housework, but I help out by doing the ironing and cleaning the floor. My wife does most of the cooking, but I help by cutting up the vegetables and meat. Mywife does the washing. She says I don’t do it properly.★Festivals—Sure. I’m sure you’re familiar with the main Chinese festivals we celebrate, like the Spring Festival, Tomb Sweeping Day, Workers’ Day, National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival. We celebrate in much the same way as other Chinese people by having a meal. At Spring Festival, our daughter gets spoilt because there are so many adults in our extended family and she is the only child at the moment.—Spring Festival marks the beginning of the Chinese year. As you probably know, each year is represented by one of twelve animals. Workers’ Day is a traditional socialist holiday that honours workers, bit I’m pretty sure it was first celebrated in America--certainly not in China. National Day celebrates the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 after the Nationalists were defeated and fled to Taiwan. Tomb Sweeping Day is when people remember their ancestors and visit their tombs or shrines.—No, there are none that I can think of. However, there are many annual exhibitions that are extremely popular.—I don’t think there’s a lot that people do that is really special. There are the ‘red envelopes’for children at Chinese New Year and there are fireworks of course. In Shanghai, there are very good official fire- works displays. It’s much safer than allowing people to light fireworks in the streets.—Apart from New Year, I like to surprise my wife on Valentine’s Day. I get either my parents or her parents to baby-sit and take her to a really classy restaurant. She always protests that it’s a waste of money, but I think she likes it really.2.PART 2 Tell me about a school that you have attended at any time in your life. You should say: --what you learnt at the school and who taught you;--what the school campus was like;--whether the school and teachers were as you expected and explain how the school helped improve your future prospects (or did not!). You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you’re going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.正确答案:I’d like to talk about my primary school. I went there a long time ago, but I still have fond memories of those years. The school was, and still is, only about ten minutes walk from my parents’ home here in Shanghai. It was a relatively small school, with only a few hundred children there. I know that sounds like a big school, but in China even some primary schools have thousands of pupils. We learnt Chinese, maths, English, basic geography and Chinese history. We also had what I think Westerners call ‘civics’classes. These were lessons on how to behave. Our teachers were very strict, so at school we behaved very well. However, once the last bell had rung, we usually found something more interesting and mischievous to do. The school is rather unusual in that the main building is a converted church. After 1949, many churches were closed down and some were totally destroyed. However, the authorities decided to convert this one into a school. I’m glad they did. Many school buildings are quite ugly, but this one grabs the attention of almost everyone who passes it.3.PART 3Discussion topic: EducationExample questions:—How has the education system in your country changed over the last 20 years?—How do you think the education system will change in the near future?—What changes would you introduce into the education system?—Do you think that education should be free?—What do you think are the qualities of a good school?正确答案:—There are more TV’s, computers and audio-visual material in the classroom nowadays than 20 years ago. Unfortunately, modem teaching methods have not changed much, so the focus is still on memo- rising information and passing exams. There has been a big change with the appearance of many new private schools. Although the government spends relatively lime on education, Chinese parents are prepared to spend a substantial proportion of their income on it. This means that children often study outside the state school system, perhaps with a tutor or in after-school classes. They usually study the same subjects as in their state school, but some schools specialise in teaching art or music or foreign languages.—I think that Western teaching methods will eventually be used across China, but I don’t think it will happen soon. The whole system is too closely geared towards exams and factual learning, rather than developing skills such as the ability to think creatively or understand how and why things work the way they do. In the near future, I think that there will be more contacts with schools abroad, particularly via the Internet--it’s too expensive for most parents to actually send their kids abroad.—I would change the way subjects are taught to make teaching more student centred. I would also follow the British system and combine the school-leaving exams with the university entrance ones. This would make things a little easier for those finishing high school and wishing to continue their education.—I think that parents should only have to pay for a limited number of things while their children are at primary and secondary schools, for example notebooks, pens and uniforms. I think that this allows everyone to have a decent basic education. I think that the government should subsidise undergraduate studies for students who get good enough grades, but that students should pay part of the cost them- selves. The government could arrange for students loans to be available. Graduates could pay back these loans once they get jobs.—I think that a good school should have high standards and not allow those standards to fall. Many schools are just interested in making money--in China this is sometimes even true in the state sector. Schools can achieve high standards by attracting the most highly qualified and experienced teachers with higher salaries. They can also only allow the best students to enter the school. This is what the best schools and universities do all over the world.。

雅思听力14test4section2题目
雅思听力14test4section2题目In the IELTS Listening Test 4 Section 2, the speaker discusses the topic of a local community center and its activities. The community center serves as a hubfor various events and programs, catering to the diverse needs of the local residents. However, there are several issues and challenges that the community center faces, which need to be addressed in order to ensure its continued success and effectiveness. One of the main problems highlighted in the listening passageis the lack of funding and resources for the community center. The speaker mentions that the center heavily relies on donations and volunteers to sustain its operations, which often leads to limitations in the scope and quality of the programs offered. This financial constraint not only hinders the center's ability to expand its services but also affects its overall sustainability in the long run. Without adequate funding, the community center may struggle to meet the increasing demands of the residents and maintain its facilities. Another issue brought up in the passage is the need for more diverse and inclusive programs at the community center. The speaker acknowledges that while the center currently offers a range of activities, there is a lack of representation and engagement from certain demographic groups within the community. This highlights the importance ofcreating a welcoming and inclusive environment that caters to the needs of all residents, regardless of their backgrounds or interests. By addressing this issue, the community center can better serve as a unifying force within the community, bringing people together through shared experiences and opportunities. Furthermore, the passage also touches upon the importance of promoting the community center and increasing awareness about its offerings. The speaker emphasizes the need for effective marketing and outreach efforts to attract more participants and supporters to the center. This is crucial in order to maximizethe center's impact and reach a wider audience within the community. By enhancing its visibility and communication strategies, the community center can better connect with residents and encourage their active involvement in its programs and initiatives. In addition to these challenges, the passage highlights the significance of volunteer recruitment and retention at the community center. The speaker mentions that while there are dedicated volunteers who contribute theirtime and effort, there is a constant need for more people to get involved. This shortage of volunteers can place a strain on the center's operations and limit its capacity to deliver programs effectively. Therefore, it is essential to address this issue by implementing strategies to attract and retain volunteers, such as offering training opportunities and recognizing their valuable contributions. Moreover, the passage underscores the potential for collaboration and partnerships with other community organizations and stakeholders. The speaker discusses the benefits of forming alliances with local businesses, schools, and government agencies to enhance the resources and support available to the community center. By leveraging these partnerships, the center can tap into additional expertise, funding, and outreach channels, ultimately strengthening its impact and sustainability. In conclusion, the listening passage sheds light on the various challenges facing the local community center, from financial constraints to the need for more diverse programs and increased community engagement. Addressing these issues requires a multifaceted approach that involves securing adequate funding, expanding program offerings, enhancing outreach and marketing efforts, recruiting and retaining volunteers, and fostering strategic partnerships. By tackling these challenges head-on, the community center can better fulfill its mission as a vital resource for the residents and a catalyst for positive change within the community.。
