Pangu Separates the Sky from the Earth
▪ The sky and the earth were at first one blurred entity like an egg. Pangu was born into it. The separation of the sky and the earth took eighteen thousand years – the yang which was light and pure rose to become the sky, and the yin which was heavy and murky sank to form the earth. Between them was Pangu, who went through nine changes every day, his wisdom greater than that of the sky and his ability greater than that of the earth. Every day the sky rose ten feet higher, the earth became ten feet thicker, and Pangu grew ten feet taller. Another eighteen thousand years passed, and there was an extremely high sky, an extremely thick earth, and an extremely tall Pangu. Then came the Three emperors.

Performance technique,or the art of reading an audience,is more instinctual than learned.The timing it requires is of such complexity that no actor could master it rationally;he or she can develop it only out of experience.译文演员和观众①演员,即使是经过充分排练,也无法完全预测他们在真实观众面前的表现。

Broad,windswept valleys;glaciated mountains;sparse vegetation;and less moisture created a rather forbidding land mass.This land mass supported herds of now-extinct species of mammoth,bison,and horse and somewhat modern versions of caribou,musk ox,elk,and saiga antelope.These grazers supported in turn a number of impressive carnivores,including the giant short-faced bear,the saber-tooth cat,and a large species of lion.④The presence of mammal species that require grassland vegetation has led Arctic biologist Dale Guthrie to argue that while cold and dry, there must have been broad areas of dense vegetation to support herds of mammoth,horse,and bison.Further,nearly all of the ice-age fauna had teeth that indicate an adaptation to grasses and sedges;they could not have been supported by a modern flora of mosses and lichens. Guthrie has also demonstrated that the landscape must have been subject to intense and continuous winds,especially in winter.He makes this argument based on the anatomy of horse and bison,which do not have the ability to search for food through deep snow cover.They needlandscapes with strong winds that remove the winter snows,exposing the dry grasses beneath.Guthrie applied the term“mammoth steppe"to characterize this landscape.⑤In contrast,Paul Colinvaux has offered a counterargument based on the analysis of pollen in lake sediments dating to the last ice age.He found that the amount of pollen recovered in these sediments is so low that the Beringian landscape during the peak of the last glaciation was more likely to have been what he termed a"polar desert,"with little or only sparse vegetation,in no way was it possible that this region could have supported large herds of mammals and thus,human hunters. Guthrie has argued against this view by pointing out that radiocarbon analysis of mammoth,horse,and bison bones from Beringian deposits revealed that the bones date to the period of most intense glaciation.⑥The argument seemed to be at a standstill until a number of recent studies resulted in a spectacular suite of new finds.The first was the discovery of a1,000-square-kilometer preserved patch of Beringian vegetation dating to just over17,000years ago—the peak of the last ice age.The plants were preserved under a thick ash fall from a volcanic eruption.Investigations of the plants found grasses,sedges,mosses,and many other varieties in a nearly continuous cover,as was predicted by Guthrie.But this vegetation had a thin root mat with no soil formation,demonstrating that there was little long-term stability in plant cover,a finding supporting some of the arguments of Colinvaux.A mixture of continuous but thin vegetation supporting herds of large mammals is one that seems plausible and realistic with the available data.译文洞察白令地貌①在上一次冰期的高峰,东北亚地区(西伯利亚)和阿拉斯加曾由一片广阔的陆地相连,这片土地被叫做白令陆桥。
新时代研究生学术英语教程1第七单元
新时代研究生学术英语教程1第七单元全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1A Guide to Academic Writing for Little ScholarsHi there, little friends! Today, we're going to learn all about academic writing. It's a super important skill that will help you become a brilliant writer and researcher when you grow up. Get ready to dive into the exciting world of essays, reports, and research papers!First things first, what exactly is academic writing? It's a special way of writing that follows certain rules and styles. It's used by scholars, professors, and students to share their ideas, findings, and knowledge with others in their field of study. Unlike the stories you read for fun, academic writing has to be clear, organized, and based on facts and evidence.Now, let's talk about the different parts of an academic paper. Every paper needs to have an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The introduction is like the doorway to your paper. It's where you tell your readers whatyour paper is all about and why it's important. You can also include your main idea or thesis statement here.The body paragraphs are the meat of your paper. This is where you present your arguments, evidence, and examples to support your main idea. Each paragraph should focus on one main point and include supporting details and examples to back it up. Remember to use transition words like "firstly," "secondly," and "furthermore" to help your readers follow your ideas smoothly.The conclusion is like the grand finale of your paper. Here, you'll summarize your main points and restate your thesis statement. You can also share your final thoughts or suggestions for future research on the topic.But wait, there's more! Academic writing also has its own special language and style. You'll need to use formal and precise language, avoid contractions and slang words, and use technical terms specific to your field of study. Additionally, you'll need to cite your sources properly whenever you use information or ideas from other authors. This helps to give credit where it's due and shows that you've done your research.Now, let's talk about some tips and tricks to make your academic writing shine:Plan ahead: Before you start writing, make an outline or a mind map to organize your thoughts and ideas. This will help your paper flow smoothly and stay on track.Use evidence: Remember to support your arguments and claims with concrete examples, facts, and evidence from reliable sources. This will make your paper more convincing and credible.Stay objective: Academic writing should be objective and unbiased. Avoid using personal opinions or emotional language, and focus on presenting facts and analysis.Edit and revise: Once you've finished your first draft, take a break and come back to it with fresh eyes. Read through your paper carefully and make any necessary corrections or improvements.Get feedback: Ask your teacher, parents, or friends to read your paper and provide feedback. Fresh perspectives can help you identify areas for improvement and make your writing even better.Well, there you have it, little scholars! Academic writing may seem a bit challenging at first, but with practice and determination, you'll become a pro in no time. Remember to follow the guidelines, use clear and precise language, and alwayssupport your ideas with evidence. Who knows, one day you might write a groundbreaking research paper that changes the world!Happy writing, and never stop exploring the wonderful world of knowledge!篇2A Fun Journey Through Unit 7Hey there, kids! Are you ready to embark on an exciting adventure through Unit 7 of our awesome English textbook? Get ready to explore the fascinating world of academic writing and discover some cool tips and tricks along the way!First things first, let's talk about the main topic of this unit: writing a research paper. Now, I know what you're thinking, "Research papers? That sounds super boring!" But trust me, it's way more interesting than you might think.Imagine you're a detective on a mission to solve a big mystery. You have to gather clues, analyze evidence, and present your findings in a clear and organized way. That's exactly what you're doing when you write a research paper! You'reinvestigating a specific topic, collecting information from different sources, and then putting it all together in a report.Now, before you start writing, you need to have a solid plan. This is where the outline comes in handy. An outline is like a roadmap that helps you stay on track and organize your thoughts. It's kind of like planning a fun trip with your family –you decide where you want to go, what you want to see, and how you're going to get there.Once you have your outline ready, it's time to start writing! But hold on, there's more to it than just putting words on paper. You need to make sure your writing is clear, concise, and easy to understand. That's where some cool writing techniques come in.For example, you can use transition words like "first," "next," and "finally" to help your reader follow your ideas smoothly. It's like holding their hand and guiding them through your amazing research adventure!Another important aspect of academic writing is using formal language and avoiding slang or casual expressions. This might sound a bit boring, but think of it like dressing up for a fancy party – you want to look and sound your best!Now, let's talk about something really exciting: referencing! When you use information from other sources in your research paper, you need to give credit to the authors. This is called citing sources, and it's like giving a shout-out to the people who helped you solve the mystery.There are different referencing styles, like APA or MLA, and they might seem a bit confusing at first. But don't worry; it's just like learning a new game – once you get the hang of it, it'll be a piece of cake!Speaking of games, did you know that some research papers include graphs, tables, and figures? These visual elements can help you present your findings in a cool and engaging way. It's like adding some awesome illustrations to your detective report!Last but not least, let's talk about something that might seem a bit scary at first: peer review. This is when you share your research paper with your classmates or teachers, and they provide feedback and suggestions for improvement. It's kind of like showing your detective work to your friends and seeing if they can spot any clues you missed.Remember, the goal of peer review is to help you make your paper even better, so don't be afraid to listen to their comments and make some changes. It's all part of the learning process!Phew, that was a lot of information, but I'm sure you've got this! Writing a research paper might seem like a big challenge at first, but with a little bit of practice and some fun strategies, you'll be a pro in no time.So, what are you waiting for? Grab your detective hat, sharpen your pencils, and get ready to embark on your very own research adventure! Who knows, you might even discover something truly amazing along the way.Happy writing, my friends!篇3My Amazing Adventure in the OceanHi everyone! Today, I want to tell you about my incredible adventure in the ocean. It was an exciting and unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever!One sunny morning, my family and I decided to go on a boat trip. We sailed far out into the deep blue sea. As we floated on the waves, I couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and curiosity. What would I see beneath the surface of the water?We anchored our boat near a vibrant coral reef. The water was crystal clear, and I eagerly put on my snorkeling gear. Slowly,I dipped my head underwater and, to my amazement, a whole new world opened up before my eyes!Colorful fish of all shapes and sizes were swimming around me. There were tiny clownfish, just like Nemo, with their orange and white stripes. I spotted a majestic sea turtle gracefully gliding through the water. It was incredible to see these beautiful creatures up close!I also saw a school of shimmering silver fish, moving together in perfect harmony. They looked like a silver wave flowing through the ocean. It reminded me of a dance party where everyone knew the same dance moves!But the most breathtaking sight was the coral reef itself. The corals were like underwater gardens, with vibrant colors and unique shapes. They were home to many sea creatures, providing shelter and protection. I learned that corals are living animals, just like you and me!As I explored further, I noticed a dark shadow approaching. It was a huge manta ray gliding effortlessly through the water. It seemed to be flying like a bird, with its wings gracefully flapping.I was in awe of its sheer size and beauty!While swimming, I also encountered some challenges. I accidentally bumped into a spiky sea urchin, and it reminded me to be careful and respect the ocean and its inhabitants. I quickly learned to be mindful of my surroundings and not disturb the delicate balance of nature.After what felt like hours, it was time to say goodbye to the ocean and head back to the boat. As I climbed aboard, I couldn't stop talking about all the incredible things I had seen. The ocean had taught me so much about its wonders and the importance of protecting it.This adventure made me realize how vast and diverse our planet is. It's crucial for us to take care of our oceans and the amazing creatures that call it home. We can all do our part by reducing plastic waste, conserving water, and spreading awareness about the importance of marine life.I will always cherish the memories of my adventure in the ocean. It was a day filled with wonder, discovery, and appreciation for the incredible beauty that lies beneath the waves. I hope one day you can have your own amazing adventure in the ocean too!Remember, let's be kind to our oceans and protect them for future generations. Together, we can make a difference!That's all for now. Thanks for reading, my fellow ocean explorers!Yours truly,[Your Name]篇4Academic English is Tough but Fun!Hi everyone! My name is Lily and I'm a 4th grader. My big sister just started graduate school and she has to take this really hard class called "Academic English for the New Era Postgraduate Course 1". I looked through her textbook and it seems super difficult with all those big words and complicated ideas. But I thought it would be fun to try explaining Unit 7 in my own words!Unit 7 is all about writing a research paper. That sounds so grown-up and fancy, doesn't it? Basically, a research paper is a really long essay where you pick a topic, read a bunch of books and websites about it, and then write down your own thoughts and ideas. The first step is to choose a good topic. My sister is studying environmental science, so maybe she could write about things like pollution, recycling, or endangered animals. Once youpick a topic, you have to do lots and lots of research by reading books from the library, scholarly articles from databases, and websites (but only the good, trustworthy ones - not just anything on the internet!).After you read everything you can find about your topic, it's time to start writing. But first you need an outline which is like a plan that organizes all your ideas into different sections. Usually a research paper has an introduction where you explain your topic, a literature review discussing what other people have already written about it, a methods section describing how you did your research, results sharing what you found out, a discussion analyzing the results, and a conclusion summing everything up. Phew, that's a lot of sections!The introduction is really important because it has to grab the reader's attention right away. Some good ways to start are by telling an interesting story, sharing a surprising fact or statistic, or asking a thought-provoking question. The introduction also needs a clear, one-sentence statement called a thesis that tells what your paper is about.The literature review discusses all the major books, articles, and ideas that already exist on your topic. You have to show that you understand what has been studied before and where yourown research fits in. This section takes a ton of work because you have to read so much and take careful notes!The methods section explains exactly how you did your research, whether it was collecting data through experiments, surveys, observations or looking at sources like books and databases. This proves that your research was done in a proper, systematic way.The results section objectively lists out the main findings from your research, without any opinions or analysis yet. Just the facts!Then the discussion section is where you finally get to analyze the meaning and significance of your results. How do they relate to your original thesis and the research that already exists? What are the implications and potential applications?Finally, the conclusion restates the main purpose of the paper and summarizes the key points made in each section. It might also suggest ideas for future research on the topic.Whew, that's a lot of work! My sister also has to include things like a title page, table of contents, in-text citations, and a references list at the end. Formatting counts for a lot of the grade. And of course, she has to use perfect academic Englishwith no slang or contractions and big fancy words like "elucidate" and "synthesize".I'm just a 4th grader, so writing a real research paper is still many years away for me. But it was fun trying to understand and explain it in simpler terms. Unit 7 of that textbook is crazy difficult with all the rules and guidelines for each section. I have a new respect for my sister and all graduate students after seeing what they have to do. Research seems incredibly hard but also really interesting and important for adding new knowledge to the world. I can't wait until I'm old enough to write my first research paper someday! But I better start practicing my academic writing skills now. Let me conclude by synthesizing the key points I have elucidated...篇5Academic Reading and Writing for Grown-UpsHi there! Are you a grown-up who wants to learn about reading and writing for university? Maybe you're a student or teacher or just someone who loves learning. Well, get ready because I'm going to teach you all about it!First up, let's talk about academic reading. When you read at university, it's not like reading comics or fun stories. The booksare waaay more difficult, with big fancy words and complicated ideas. But don't worry, I'll explain it all simply!The most important thing is being able to understand the main point the author is trying to make. It's like a treasure hunt, except the treasure is knowledge! You have to read carefully and pick out all the key details and evidence the author uses. Along the way, you'll learn new words too which is pretty cool.Sometimes the authors will disagree with each other on a topic. When that happens, you have to think critically about who makes more sense and has better supporting evidence. It's like being a judge in a court case, except way more fun!Once you get good at academic reading, you can level up to academic writing. This is where you get to put all those big ideas into your own words. The hardest part is organizing everything logically, sort of like telling a super long story with a beginning, middle and end.In academic writing, you need to be formal and objective. That means no slang words or contractions like "can't" or "didn't." It has to sound sophisticated and impersonal. You also have to cite your sources, which tells readers where you got your information from. citations are like giving credit to the very smart people who helped you.The key things in academic writing are: a clear introduction that previews your main ideas, body paragraphs that explain those ideas with evidence and examples, and a conclusion that restates everything important. Following that structure makes your writing flow smoothly.Using transition words like "furthermore" and "in addition" is also really handy. They act like flashing arrows guiding the reader through your work. Oh and don't forget referencing at the end! That's a list of all the sources you cited, formatted properly.I know it sounds like a lot of work, but becoming a master at academic reading and writing means you can understand and share knowledge at the highest levels. You'll be like a superhero, but instead of fighting crime your power will be using your incredible brain!So keep practicing and don't get discouraged. Reading is like exercise for your mind, and writing allows you to show off how strong it has become. Hard work plus patience equals success! You got this, grown-up student!篇6Unit 7 - Writing a Research PaperHey there friends! Today we're going to talk about something super important for anyone who wants to be a great researcher when they grow up - writing a research paper! I know it sounds like a big deal, but don't worry, I'll explain it all in a way that's easy to understand.First things first, what is a research paper? It's basically a long essay where you share your findings and ideas about a topic you've studied really hard. You need to do a lot of research, which means reading books, articles, and other sources to learn as much as you can about your topic. Then you put all that information together and write about it in your own words.The first step is picking a good topic. It has to be something you're really interested in, because you'll be spending a lot of time learning about it. Maybe you love dinosaurs, or space, or how plants grow. Whatever it is, make sure it's something you won't get bored with easily!Once you've chosen your topic, it's time to start researching. This is the part where you read all those books and articles to gather information. As you read, take notes on the important details and anything that could help support your ideas about the topic. Don't forget to write down where each piece ofinformation came from, because you'll need to give credit to those sources later.After you've done a ton of research, it's time to start planning out your paper. This part is like making a map before you go on a trip. You'll decide how to organize all your information into an outline with different sections. The main sections are usually:The introduction - This is where you explain what your paper is about and get the reader interested.The literature review - You'll summarize what others have already written about your topic.The methodology - Describe how you did your research and gathered information.The results - Share what you found out and the discoveries you made.The conclusion - Wrap everything up by restating your main points.Once your outline is ready, you can start writing the actual paper. Follow your outline to make sure you include all the important parts. Use clear language that's easy to understand,and back up your ideas with lots of details and examples from your research. Don't forget to properly cite your sources!Writing a good research paper takes a lot of hard work, but it's an important skill. When you're done, you'll have shared your own unique ideas and discoveries with the world! Pretty cool, right?There are a few other things that are important for research papers too. You need a catchy title that grabs the reader's attention. Visuals like charts and graphs are great for explaining data and research findings. And of course, you have to proofread and edit your paper very carefully before it's finished.I know that was a lot of information, but doing research and writing papers will become easier with practice. The most important thing is to pick a topic you love so you'll stay interested. If you work hard and follow all the steps, you'll be a research master in no time! Let me know if anything needs more explanation. Now go forth and research!。

We can see the results of this in the way that animals have developed different types of feeding behavior.Animals are generally classified as a generalist feeders and specialist feeders.Now,um,these terms are used in a variety of ways.At times,they're used to refer to an animal's range of habitats.I've also seen them used to describe the number of foraging techniques that are used by an individual or species.Um,but for our purposes,we're going to use them to refer to the range of food items that are eaten by a species.So a generalist feeder is a species that eats a wide variety of foods during its lifetime.And a specialist is a species that feeds on a highly restricted number of foods.A good example of a generalist would be a rat.Rats are notorious for eating just about anything that's available,whether it's a plant or an animal.At the other end of the spectrum,we have the koala which eats only the leaves of eucalyptus trees.Okay,now there are advantages to each.For a generalist,If1type of food isn't around,it can feed on another that's more abundant.On theother hand,the advantage of being a specialist is that the animal is well adapted to its food.You could say that specialists are feeding masters, their consumption,even their digestive system is just so finely tuned.For instance,take the koala.The eucalyptus leaves that it feeds on,don't contain much protein.What's more,the leaves contain compounds that are poisonous to most species?But the koalas digestive system has adapted to handle this.It's liver deactivates,the poisonous compounds, and its digestive system is designed to extract the maximum amount of nutrients from the leaves.So it's not a question of which strategy is better.The real question is, what determines how selective animal species are in what they eat?Well, the answer may lie in a concept called optimal foraging.The idea is that natural selection favors animals whose feeding behavior has the lowest cost to benefit ratio.That is you want to get the best healthiest food you can.And you want to do it as quickly as possible.And as easily as possible.Now,in a natural environment,no animal forage in an absolutely optimal manner.But,well,I read some research on a little rat called the kangaroo rat,which lives in deserts in North America.The kangaroo rat is a generalist which eats plant matter like seeds and fruit.It lives in deep burrows which provide protection from the desert heat and from predators like hawks or snakes.And it goes foraging at night for food.For plant matter,under the protection of darkness,even though it's a generalist.If the only thing available is seed,if a choice of seeds is available to it,it picks up seeds that provide more energy than those it leaves behind.And it carries them back to its burrow.Once it's there,it might eat only the richest seeds from the ones that brought back.So it selects seeds outside in a way that lets it spend as little time as possible foraging in that risky environment,and then sorts out its food later when it's safely in its burrow.Oh,yes,Kenneth.You have a question?Male student:But what about the koala?It gets by uh,by being even more selective,you'd think you would be really risky to rely completely on eucalyptus leaves.Wouldn't it be better to diversify like the kangaroo rat,and eat,at least one or two other things?Professor:Well,what do you think the koala would say?What do I gain by being so selective?In terms of optimal foraging,it's clear that eucalyptus trees provide an abundant source of food.Other animals can't eat the leaves and think of how little energy the koala uses.It spends only about3hours each day eating to get the energy it needs.So being a specialist allows it to get the nutrients it needs with minimal expenditure of energy.题目1.What is the lecture mainly about?A.The reasons why some animals eat only plantsB.The advantages of two different feeding adaptationsC.The variety of foods Romantic Fictions
English fiction gropes its way amidst the overwhelming Romantic poetry. It revives its popularity in the hands of Jane Austen & Walter Scott. Walter Scott is noted for his historical novel based on Scottish history and legends. He exerted great influence on European literature of his time.

Legend has it that Wordsworth and his sister lived a kind of incestuous life during this period. Dorothy helped Wordsworth turn his eyes to ―the face of nature‖ and ―preserved the poet in him‖. She served as Wordsworth‘s confidante and inspirer. As Wordsworth put it in his poem: She gave me eyes, she gave me ears; And humble cares, and delicate fears; A heart, the fountain of sweet tears;

Like this one time, he went to the Dragon King's underwater palace and ate all the magical pills that were meant for the immortals. That made him even more powerful and impossible to control!But Sun Wukong's adventures really took off when he joined the famous monk Xuanzang on his journey to India to bring back sacred Buddhist scriptures. Along the way, they faced all sorts of dangerous situations, like battling evil monsters, crossing treacherous mountains, and even visiting the Kingdom of Women where no men were allowed!Sun Wukong was always there to save the day with his amazing fighting skills and quick thinking. He could somersault through the air, change into different forms like a bird or a bug, and use his magic staff to grow as tall as the sky or shrink down to the size of a tiny bug.One of my favorite parts of the story is when Sun Wukong had to fight the powerful Jade Emperor and the armies of Heaven. He was just too strong and too wild to be controlled, even by the gods themselves! But eventually, the Buddha had to step in and trap Sun Wukong under a mountain for 500 years to teach him a lesson.After that, Sun Wukong learned to control his mischievous ways and became a loyal protector of Xuanzang on their journey to India. He used his powers to fight off all kinds of monsters, demons, and even the King of Monsters himself!What I really admire about Sun Wukong is how brave, loyal, and determined he is. No matter how tough the challenge, he never gives up. He's always there for his friends, fighting by their side and using his quick wits and incredible strength to overcome any obstacle.Sun Wukong is also super funny and always cracking jokes, even in the middle of a fight. Like when he faced the powerful Demon Princess, he kept making fun of her ugly looks and calling her names. That made her so angry that she lost her focus, and Sun Wukong was able to defeat her!In the end, Sun Wukong's loyalty and bravery helped Xuanzang complete his mission and bring the sacred scriptures back from India. And as a reward for his heroic deeds, Sun Wukong was finally able to become an enlightened Buddha himself, with all the powers and wisdom of the gods.If I could have any superpower, I would definitely want to be like Sun Wukong – super strong, able to fly and change shapes, and always ready with a clever joke or trick. He's the coolest monkey hero ever, and his adventures in "Journey to the West" are filled with excitement, humor, and valuable lessons about friendship, courage, and never giving up.So if you haven't read about the amazing Monkey King yet, you totally should! Sun Wukong's stories will take you on a wild ride filled with magic, monsters, and non-stop action. You'll laugh, you'll cheer, and you'll never look at monkeys the same way again!篇2The Incredible Adventures of Sun WukongSun Wukong is one of the coolest characters from ancient Chinese stories! He's the Monkey King who goes on an amazing journey with his friends to get sacred Buddhist scriptures from India. I first learned about Sun Wukong from my parents reading me the classic novel Journey to the West.Sun Wukong starts out as just a regular monkey living on a mountain. But he's no ordinary monkey - he has incredible magical powers! He can fly, turn invisible, transform into different shapes, and even separate his hairs into clones of himself. Pretty awesome, right? With abilities like those, it's no wonder he becomes the Monkey King.At first, Sun Wukong uses his powers to make trouble and be mischievous. He fights with the Dragon Kings of the Four Seas and even takes over the Heavenly Palace! The Jade Emperor, theruler of Heaven, has to get the great Buddha to capture Sun Wukong. The Buddha puts him under a mountain for 500 years as punishment for his bad behavior.After his really long timeout under the mountain, Sun Wukong is let out by the monk Xuanzang. Xuanzang is traveling to India to get sacred Buddhist scriptures and teachings. Even though Sun Wukong caused a lot of chaos before, he decides to join Xuanzang and protect him on the journey as a way to make up for his past misdeeds.Their journey is full of crazy adventures and dangerousrun-ins with evil monsters and spirits. Sun Wukong uses all his special abilities to fight off their enemies with his powerful staff.A few of my favorite episodes are when he defeats the Demon Princess who tries to eat Xuanzang, battles the terrifying Red Boy, and takes on the undersea kingdom.Even with his immense strength, Sun Wukong can still get a bit full of himself sometimes. Whenever he gets arrogant or conceited, his companions have to find ways to keep his explosive temper under control. Thankfully, they always manage to rein him back in before he goes too far.After overcoming countless obstacles, Sun Wukong and his friends finally make it to India and retrieve the sacred scriptures.As a reward for his help, the Buddha gives Sun Wukong the official title of "Buddha Victorious in Strife." He's allowed to keep his magical powers and cherishes the sutras as a new symbol of peace and enlightenment.What I love most about Sun Wukong is how brave, loyal, and determined he is. Even though he starts off as a troublemaker, he proves himself as a true hero by the end. He never backs down from a fight when his friends are in danger. His courage along with his incredible abilities make him pretty much unbeatable!Some of my other favorite things about Sun Wukong are his funny personality and the cool weapons he uses. He's always making jokes and wisecracking comments. And who wouldn't want an awesome staff that can grow huge or shrink tiny? The magic cloud he rides is super cool too - it can travel thousands of miles in an instant!If I could have any superpower, I would definitely want to be able to fly on a magic cloud like Sun Wukong. That way I could soar over the clouds whenever I wanted and see the whole world from high up in the sky. His immortality would be pretty neat too, so I could live forever and have endless adventures.Overall, the Journey to the West is an amazing tale filled with action, humor, and important lessons about overcomingadversity. Sun Wukong is by far the star - his bravery, loyalty and phenomenal powers make him a true legendary hero. I'll never forget the crazy escapades of the awesome Monkey King!篇3The Awesome Adventures of the Monkey KingHi everyone! Today I want to tell you about one of the coolest characters from ancient Chinese stories - the Monkey King, whose real name is Sun Wukong. He's the main hero from this famous book called Journey to the West, which is kind of like the Chinese version of The Lord of the Rings, but even crazier!Sun Wukong wasn't just an ordinary monkey. He was born from a magic rock on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. When he opened his eyes for the first time, he could already walk, talk, and do all sorts of incredible things! His special powers included flying through the clouds, shapeshifting into different animals or objects, plucking out hairs that could fight for him, and summoning powerful wind, rain, and fire. Basically, he was indestructible and had mastered all the skills of supernatural martial arts.At first, Wukong just monkeyed around, having fun and causing mischief in the mountains and seas. But then he decidedhe wanted to achieve enlightenment and become a powerful immortal being. So he went on a long journey to find a teacher who could show him the Way.After many adventures, Wukong found the immortal sage Subhuti, who agreed to give him lessons. Wukong proved to be an amazing student who learned everything quickly. However, when Subhuti kept refusing to officially recognize Wukong as an immortal, the Monkey King got impatient and rebellious. He started causing chaos in heaven, defeating armies of celestial soldiers and even the Four Heavenly Kings!This angered the Jade Emperor, the ruler of the heavens. He asked the Buddha for help in subduing the rampaging Monkey King. The Buddha managed to trap Wukong under a mountain for 500 years as punishment. Can you imagine being stuck under a giant mountain for 500 whole years? I'd go crazy after a week!Eventually, the kind Bodhisattva Guanyin helped free Wukong so he could become the guardian and protector for the monk Xuanzang, who was traveling to India to obtain sacred Buddhist scriptures. On this journey, Wukong and his companions battled all kinds of evil monsters, learned important moral lessons, and had epic adventures across an enchanted version of ancient China and India.Some of Wukong's most legendary moments include:When he drank all the supernatural waters of a cosmic river, causing heaven and earth to floodWhen he urinated on the palace of the Dragon King of the Seas, causing a huge tidal waveWhen he rampaged through heaven and stole peaches of immortality from the Queen Mother's sacred gardenWhen he fought the terrifying Princess Iron Fan, who was super strong and breathed flames and smokeWhen he battled the Demon King of Infinite Crags, who had taken over the sacred Mountain of Five ElementsNo matter how powerful the enemy, Wukong always found some clever way to win using his powerful magic staff, shapeshifting tricks, freeze-frame skill, and pure physical might. My favorite part is when he extends his magic staff that's as tall as the sky and uses it to pole-vault over the highest mountains and rivers, beating any monster foolish enough to get in his way.At the same time, Wukong could be arrogant, reckless, egotistical, and sometimes he put his friends in danger because of his overconfidence. That's why he often had to be bailed out or disciplined by Xuanzang and his other companions like Pigsythe monster pig and Sandy the river monster. They formed this hilarious and heartwarming "squad" that felt like a family by the end of their quest.Wukong's personality was truly one-of-a-kind. He was both a troublemaker and a hero, both infuriating and lovable, both comically flawed and supremely talented. I think that's why he has remained such an iconic character in Chinese culture for centuries - he represents the battle we all face between our bestial nature and our spiritual yearning for enlightenment. Plus his adventures were just wildly entertaining!If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend reading or watching some version of Journey to the West. You'll be blown away by Wukong's awesomeness, and you'll also learn some deeper wisdom about perseverance, bravery, loyalty, and the power of compassion along the way. The Monkey King rocks!篇4The Monkey King: A Awesome Hero!One of my favorite stories is the Journey to the West. It's an amazing adventure tale about a Buddhist monk named Xuanzang who travels all the way from China to India to getsacred scriptures. But the coolest character is definitely his pupil and protector, the Monkey King!The Monkey King's real name is Sun Wukong. He was born from a magic rock on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. As a little monkey, he could already do amazing things like summon clouds to ride and pluck magical staff weapons from his fur. When he grew up, he studied tons of Kung Fu styles and magic spells until he became the strongest and most powerful monkey ever!Wukong could transform into tons of different shapes like a tiny insect or a giant monster. He had a magic staff called the Compliant Golden Winged Cudgel that could shrink down to fit in his ear or grow big enough to beat gods and demons! His most impressive power though was being able to make clones of himself - with one hair he could create enough Monkey Kings to surround the oceans!With all his awesome abilities, Wukong got pretty full of himself. He started calling himself the "Great Sage Equal to Heaven" and made chaos across the world, even in the heavenly realms. The jade emperor, the ruler of the gods and goddesses, couldn't control Wukong's mischief so he tried to get rid of him. He invited the Monkey King to a party in heaven but it was reallya trap! The gods tried to crush Wukong under a magic mountain but he just escaped and kept causing trouble.The jade emperor was scared Wukong would take over heaven so he asked the Buddha for help. The Buddha used his powers to trap Wukong under another mountain for 500 years as punishment! While trapped, the Monkey King had to endure winds, fires, and all kinds of torture from the heavenly armies. After centuries though, he fessed up and admitted the Buddha was stronger.The Buddha didn't want to kill Wukong, so he sent the monkey to be the protector for the monk Xuanzang on his journey to India. With the Monkey King watching his back, Xuanzang was safe from monsters and evil spirits that tried to stop the quest. Wukong fought ferocious beasts, defeated evil gods, and escaped many traps using his clever tricks along the way.My favorite part is when Wukong and his buddies, like the pig monster Zhu Bajie, take on the armies of heaven again when some gods try to stop their journey. Wukong faces the greatest gods and goddesses in an epic battle across the heavens! Using his magic staff and kung fu skills, he beats tons of powerful gods and even fights the mighty Jade Emperor himself to a draw. TheMonkey King was so strong that none of the gods or goddesses could defeat him.In the end, the Buddha had to step in and give the party permission to go to India. Wukong's bravery and power helped Xuanzang finally get the scriptures after a long and dangerous adventure. When they returned to China, the Monkey King became one of the legendary Buddhist warriors for defending the faith. I think Wukong is the best hero ever - he was super strong, mischievous but learned to be humble, and so loyal to his friend the monk.There are so many cool stories about the Monkey King's exploits that it's hard to pick a favorite. From battling the armies of gods and monsters to traveling across oceans on his magical clouds, Wukong always finds a way to use his wits and kung fu skills to win the day. I want to be just like him when I grow up - maybe not quite as rebellious, but definitely strong, brave, and a protector of good people. The Monkey King will always be an awesome hero to me!篇5The Incredible Adventures of Sun Wukong, the Monkey KingHello, my name is Emma, and I'm going to tell you about one of my favorite stories from Chinese mythology – the incredible adventures of Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King. Get ready for an exciting journey filled with magic, mischief, and lots of monkeys!Sun Wukong was born from a magical rock on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. He wasn't like ordinary monkeys – he could walk, talk, and even had superpowers! One day, he decided to leave the mountain and explore the world. During his travels, he met a powerful Taoist monk named Subhuti, who taught him all sorts of amazing kung fu skills and magic tricks.With his new abilities, Sun Wukong became incredibly powerful and a bit too full of himself. He started causing all kinds of trouble in Heaven, even picking fights with the mighty gods! This made the Jade Emperor, the ruler of Heaven, very angry. He tried to stop Sun Wukong, but the Monkey King was too strong and too mischievous.Finally, the Jade Emperor had no choice but to ask the Buddha for help. The Buddha used his incredible powers to trap Sun Wukong under a magical mountain for 500 years! Can you imagine being stuck under a mountain for that long? I would go crazy!Luckily for Sun Wukong, a kind-hearted monk named Xuanzang came along and freed him from the mountain. In exchange, the Monkey King promised to protect Xuanzang on his dangerous journey to India to collect sacred Buddhist scriptures.Along the way, they met two other fantastic companions –Pigsy, a half-man, half-pig monster, and Sandy, a fierce water monster. Together, they formed an unlikely but unbeatable team, known as the "Pilgrims to the West."Their journey was filled with all sorts of incredible adventures and challenges. They had to battle evil monsters, cross treacherous mountains, and even visit the depths of the ocean! Sun Wukong used his amazing abilities to protect his friends and overcome any obstacle in their way.One of my favorite stories is when they encountered the fearsome Red Boy, a powerful monster who could control fire. Sun Wukong fought bravely against him, but the Red Boy's fire powers were too strong. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Sun Wukong remembered a special magical staff that could control the wind and water. With this staff, he was able to put out the Red Boy's fires and defeat him!Another time, the pilgrims were trapped in the belly of a terrible monster named Xingxingaolai. Sun Wukong used his incredible strength to break them free, but not before they had to endure some pretty gross and smelly situations inside the monster's stomach!Despite all the challenges they faced, the Pilgrims to the West never gave up. Thanks to Sun Wukong's bravery, strength, and mischievous tricks, they were able to overcome every obstacle and eventually reach India safely.Sun Wukong's adventures teach us so many valuable lessons. He shows us the importance of being brave, loyal, and never giving up, no matter how difficult the challenge may be. At the same time, his mischievous nature reminds us to have fun and not take life too seriously all the time.I love reading about Sun Wukong's incredible adventures because they transport me to a magical world filled with excitement, danger, and unforgettable characters. Whenever I'm feeling down or facing a tough challenge, I think about how Sun Wukong never gave up, and it inspires me to keep going.So, the next time you're feeling adventurous, why don't you join Sun Wukong and his friends on their journey to the West? You'll encounter mythical creatures, powerful gods, andexperience the true meaning of friendship and perseverance. Just be prepared for lots of monkey business along the way!篇6The Legendary Monkey King Sun WukongOne of my favorite stories from Chinese mythology is about the Monkey King Sun Wukong. He's an amazing and powerful character who goes on incredible adventures. Let me tell you all about him!Sun Wukong was born from a magic rock on Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. He could already walk and talk right after being born. Pretty crazy, right? He joined a group of monkeys and became their king because he was so strong and smart.Wukong had learned incredible fighting skills and magic powers. He could transform into different animals and objects. He could also summon powerful wind, fire, and magical staffs as weapons. With just one hair from his body, he could create hundreds of other monkey warriors to fight for him. So awesome!After becoming King of the Monkeys, Wukong wanted to find a way to become immortal and achieve enlightenment. Hewent on a long journey and finally found a teacher who instructed him in the ways of immortality. Wukong learned many spells and magical techniques.However, Wukong was very arrogant and caused a lot of trouble with his mischievous ways. When his name was left off the list of immortal beings in Heaven, he got really mad. He invaded the Heavenly Palace and defeated the greatest warriors of the gods! Only the Buddha was able to trap Wukong under a mountain for 500 years as punishment.After 500 years, the Buddha freed Wukong from the mountain so he could become the protector of the monk Xuanzang on a journey to India. This famous journey was an epic adventure filled with demons, monsters, and obstacles that Wukong had to fight every step of the way using his amazing powers.Xuanzang was going to India to obtain sacred Buddhist scriptures and bring them back to China. It was incredibly dangerous, but Wukong used all his skills to protect Xuanzang. They faced evil spirits, ran into army of monsters, and had to cross treacherous terrain.With his magic staff, cloud trapeze for flying, taming of dragons and tigers, and leadership of his small group, Wukongwas able to defeat all the threats. He had many close calls but never gave up. After overcoming every obstacle over the course of 14 years, Xuanzang successfully made it to India and back.When they returned to China, Xuanzang combined the teachings into a new Buddhist philosophy. Wukong finally achieved enlightenment and immortality for his heroic deeds. He ascended to the ranks of the immortals in Heaven.I love how brave, powerful, and determined Wukong was, while also being funny and mischievous at times. He made a lot of mistakes due to his arrogance early on, but changed his ways and accomplished great things by protecting Xuanzang. His magic abilities and fighting skills were just unbelievable!Many plays, books, TV shows, and movies have been made telling Wukong's stories over the centuries. He remains one of the most famous characters from ancient Chinese legends. To me, he represents overcoming adversity through courage and perseverance to achieve enlightenment. I hope you enjoyed learning about the amazing Monkey King Sun Wukong!。
