17-Human Life a Poem
A Psalm of Life 译文赏析翻译鉴赏与批评
自己之“留取丹心照汗青”的不朽人生; • 第8节要人们在历史上留下足迹, 泽被后人;
行动,日日进步”的有所作为的积极人生;
• Art is long, and time is fleeting(第四节)
• not enjoyment, and not sorrow, is our destined end or way”,
• 译文一、二按照这个正常语序分别译成“我们注定的结局和道路,既不是享乐,也不是悲 伤” “我们命定的终点和道路,既不是享乐,也不是悲苦”,意思基本一致;
•
Poetic Living: An English Version"Living in harmony with nature, surrounded bytranquility and beauty, is a desire shared by many individuals. The concept of poetic living encapsulates this longing for a serene and aesthetically pleasing lifestyle. It is about creating a space that nurtures the soul, stimulates the mind, and fosters a sense of peace and contentment. In a poetic living environment, every aspect is carefully curated to evoke a sense of beauty and harmony. The architecture of the home is designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings, utilizing sustainable materials and incorporating elements of nature, such as large windows to invite ample natural light and provide stunning views of the landscape. The interior design reflects a balance betweensimplicity and elegance. Natural materials like wood, stone, and organic fabrics are used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Soft, muted colors dominate the palette, creating a soothing ambiance. Thoughtfully placed artwork, inspired by nature or depicting meaningful themes, adds depth and character to the space.A poetic living space is not just about the physical environment, but also about the lifestyle it promotes. It encourages a slower pace of life, allowing individuals to appreciate the small joys and beauty in everyday moments. It emphasizes the importance of mindfulness and self-reflection, providing spaces for meditation, yoga, orsimply quiet contemplation. In a poetic living environment, the connection with nature is paramount. Outdoor spaces are carefully designedto be extensions of the interior, with gardens, patios, and balconies that invite relaxation and contemplation. A small herb garden or a blossoming flower bed can provide a senseof fulfillment and a connection to the natural world.Poetic living also embraces sustainable practices and a respect for the environment. Energy-efficient appliances, solar panels, and rainwater harvesting systems are integrated into the design, minimizing the ecological footprint. Recycling and composting become daily habits, promoting a conscious and responsible way of living.Furthermore, poetic living encourages a sense of community and connection with others. Shared spaces, such as communal gardens or gathering areas, foster interaction and create opportunities for meaningful relationships. It promotes a sense of belonging and a support system that enhances overall well-being.In summary, poetic living in its essence is about creating a harmonious living environment that celebrates nature, simplicity, and mindfulness. It is a lifestyle that values beauty, sustainability, and community. By embracing these principles, individuals can find solace, inspiration, and a deep sense of fulfillment in their everyday lives.。

Synthesized by the cosmos, forged within the celestial tapestry, dwells the soul, an enigmatic essence of all humanity. An ethereal symphony, resonating through the annals of time, its melody weaves together the tapestry of human existence. From the dawn of consciousness, the soul has soared on the wings of aspirations, yearning for transcendence beyond the confines of mortality. It illuminates the path of our destiny, like a guiding star in the vast expanse of the universe. Within its depths, wisdom whispers secrets of the ages, and the flame of creativity burns eternally. The soul is a sanctuary, a haven where dreams takeflight and emotions find solace. Its myriad facets reflect the kaleidoscope of human experiences, encompassing love, joy, sorrow, and wonder. It is a crucible where trials are tempered into triumphs, and resilience emerges from adversity. As we journey through life's labyrinthine paths, the soul serves as our compass, guiding us towards a path of purpose and meaning. It whispers gentle reminders of our interconnectedness, urging us to extend compassion and empathy to all beings. It is a beacon of hope, illuminating the darkest corners of our hearts. In the realm of art and expression, the soul finds its voice. Through the brushstrokes of painters, the melodies of musicians, and the eloquence of poets, the soul's essence transcends earthly boundaries. It captivates our senses, stirring emotions that transcend words and ignite the imagination. The soul is an alchemist, transforming the mundane into the extraordinary. It possesses the power to heal wounds, bridge divides, and inspire greatness. It is a catalyst for social change, a force that propels humanity towards a more just and equitable world. However, the soul is not immune to the shadows thatlurk within the human psyche. Darkness may tempt it astray, obscuring its luminosity. Fear, doubt, and despair can weigh heavy upon it, dimming its radiance. But even in the face of adversity, the soul's resilience shines through.Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the soul has the innate ability to renew and regenerate. Through adversity, it discovers hidden strengths and unveils its true potential. It is in the depths of despair that the soul's flame burns brightest, illuminating the path to redemption. The soul is a gift, a sacred treasure bestowed upon each and every one of us. It is an inexhaustible source of wisdom, inspiration, and love. By nurturing and honoring our souls, we not only enrich our own lives but also contribute to a more harmonious world.Let us embark on a journey of self-discovery, seeking to unravel the mysteries of our souls. Let us listen to its whispers, embrace its lessons, and allow its radiance to illuminate our path. For in the symphony of the soul, wefind the essence of our humanity and the boundless potential of our existence.。

The Little House on the Prairie series by Laura Ingalls Wilder has always held a special place in my heart. As a young girl, I was captivated by the story of the Ingalls family and their pioneering spirit as they journeyed through the American frontier. But it wasn't until I stumbled upon "The Long Winter" from the Little House Series that I discovered the character of Almanzo Wilder and his quest to win Laura Ingalls' heart."Farmer Boy" is the seventh book in Laura Ingalls Wilder's series and the narrative is centered around Almanzo Wilder, the boy who would later become Laura's husband. The book follows Almanzo's daily life on his family's farm in upstate New York, providing a glimpse into the difficulties and joys of rural living in the late 19th century. Through Almanzo's eyes, readers gain insight into the hard work, self-reliance, and perseverance required to thrive in a farming community.Almanzo's story resonated with me on a personal level as I followed his journey from a young boy dreaming of being a successful farmer to a determined young man determined to make his dreams a reality. His unwavering commitment to his goals, his strong work ethic, and his willingness to take risks in pursuit of his aspirations are qualities that inspired me to reflecton my own ambitions and the steps I needed to take to achieve them. The character of Almanzo Wilder also serves as a reminder of the importance of family, community, and perseverance in the face of adversity. Despite the challenges and hardships he faced, Almanzo never lost sight of his goals, and with the support of his family and friends, he was able to overcome obstacles and achieve success on his own terms. As I turned the pages of "Farmer Boy", I was reminded of the resilience, determination, and sense of adventure that defined the pioneers of the American frontier. Almanzo Wilder's story is a testament to the enduring spirit of the pioneers who shaped our nation and a reminder of the values that continue to resonate with readers of all ages.In conclusion, "Farmer Boy" is a timeless tale of courage, perseverance, and the power of dreams. Through the character of Almanzo Wilder, readers are inspired to pursue their goals with dedication and passion, to embrace the challenges that come their way, and to never lose sight of the values that define them. Laura Ingalls Wilder's portrayal of Almanzo's journey is a testament to the enduring legacy of the American pioneer spiritand serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of hard work, determination, and self-belief in the pursuit of our dreams.。
Human Life Like a Poem
Human Life Like a Poem- -Human Life Like a PoemI think that, from a biological standpoint, human life almost reads like a poem. It has its own rhythm and beat, its internal cycles of growth and decay .It begins with innocent childhood, followed by awkward adolescencetrying awkwardly to adapt itself to mature society ,with its young passion and follies, its ideals and ambitions;then it reachesa manhood of intense activities, profiting from experience and learningmore about society and human nature;at middle age, there is a slight easing of tension,a mellowing of character likethe ripening of the fruit or the mellowing of good wine, and the gradual acquiring of a more tolerant, more cynical and at the same time a kindlierview of life;then in the sunset of our life ,the endocrine glands decreasetheir activity, and if we have a true philosophy of old age and have orderedour life pattern according to it,it''s for us the age of peace and security and leisure and contentment;finally, life flickers out and one goes into eternal sleep, never to wake up again. One should be able to sense the beauty of this rththm of life,to appreciate, as we do in grand symphonies, tis main theme, its strains of conflict andthe final resolution. The movements of these cycles are very much the samein a normal life, but the music must be provided by the individual himself. In some souls, the discordant note becomes harsher and harsher andfinally overwhelms or submerges the main melody.Sometimesthe discordant note gains so much power that the music canno longer go on,and the individual shoots himself with a pistol or jumpsinto a river. But that is beacuse his original leitmotif has been hopelesslyover-shadowed through the lack of a good self-education.Otherwise the normal human life runs to its normal end in a kind of dignified movement and procession. No one can say that a life with childhood, manhood and old age is not a beautiful arrangment;the day has its morning, noon and sunset, and the year has its seasons, and it is good that it is so.There is no good or bad in life, except what is good according to its own seasons,no one but a conceited fool or an impossible idealist can deny thathuman life can be lived like a poem.。
17-century poetry
Carpe diem
Carpe diem
The theme
The theme was popular at the time, i.e. “carpe diem”. Carpe diem is a theme, especially common
in lyric poetry, that emphasizes that life is short, time is fleeting, and that one should make the most of present pleasures.

Longfellow family faith was Unitarian. Longfellow was influenced by his Unitarian beliefs, his association with New England Transcendentalists, and the Romantic literary movement he encountered in Europe. He believed that the vitality and originality of American literature must depend upon the nation's natural environment and distinct history, as opposed to the long-standing cultural and social traditions that informed European literature.
(Human Life as a Poem)为题目英语作文Human Life as a PoemLife is a poem – a composition of various moods, emotions, experiences, and feelings that convey the essence of being human. It is a complex and multifaceted work of art that reflects the beauty, the pain, and the realities of existence. Just as poems have structures, rhythms, and senses, so does life have its own patterns, cycles, and purposes. At the beginning of the poem, we are born into this world, innocent and pure, without any knowledge or awareness of what is to come. As we grow up, we learn how to speak, how to think, how to feel, and how to interact with others. We experience joy and wonder, curiosity and exploration, as we discover the world around us. We make friends, we share our dreams and passions, welaugh and cry together. The first part of our poem is full of vitality, spontaneity, and optimism. However, as we reach adolescence and adulthood, we face new challenges and struggles. We feel the pressure to conform, to succeed, to fit in. Westart to question our identity, our values, and our beliefs. We encounter disappointment, rejection, and heartbreak. We learn how to cope with rejection, loss, and fear. The second part of our poem is more introspective, emotional, and complex. As we enter our middle and old age, we become more reflective and philosophical about our lives. We look back at our achievements, our mistakes, our regrets. We reflect on our relationships, our family, and our legacy. We confront the aging ofour bodies, the decline of our health, and the inevitability of death. We learn how to find meaning, fulfillment, and acceptance in our lives. The third part of our poem is more contemplative, philosophical, and spiritual.Although the poem of life is different for each person, there are common themes, motifs, andsymbols that recur throughout. Love, friendship, family, education, career, health, and faith are some of the universal themes that shape our poem. Happiness, sadness, hope, fear, courage, and resilience are some of the universal emotions that color our poem. Birth, growth, maturity, decline, and death are some of the universal stages that define our poem. Each person's poem is unique and personal, but also universal and human. In conclusion, the poem of life is a masterpiece that combines the art of poetry with the art of living. It is a journey that can be daunting, unpredictable, and challenging, but also rewarding, enriching, and inspiring. It is a work of art that can be interpreted, analyzed, and appreciated by others, but also lived, felt, and experienced by ourselves. As poets of life, we are free to write our own poems, to express our own voices, to create our own masterpieces. The poem of life is a gift that we should cherish, celebrate, and share with others.。
the buried life诗歌
the buried life诗歌The Buried LifeThere's this poem, "The Buried Life," that's like a hidden treasure chest in the attic of literature. You know, it's not one of those poems that just sits there looking all fancy but saying nothing. It's a poem that digs deep, just like a curious kid digging in the sandbox, hoping to find something amazing.I remember the first time I read it. I was sitting in this old, rickety chair in my dimly - lit room. It was like the poem reached out and grabbed me by the collar. It made me think about my own life, all the parts that I keep buried away. I thought, "Am I the only one with a buried life?" It's like we all have this secret garden inside us, filled with hopes, dreams, and sometimes, a bit of heartache. My friend, let me tell you about the lines in this poem. They're like little keys that unlock different doors in your mind. Some lines make you feel like you're on top of the world, like you've just discovered a new star in the sky. Others, well, they make you feel a bit sad, like when you lose your favorite toy as a kid.I once talked to a group of people about this poem. One person said, "This poem is like a mirror, showing me the parts of myself I don't want to see." Another chimed in, "It's more like a map, leading me to the places in my soul I've forgotten about." And we all just sat there, nodding our heads in agreement. The poem doesn't just talk about the buried life in some abstract way. It's like it's sitting right beside you, whispering in your ear about all the things you've pushed aside. It's like that old friend who knows all your secrets and isn't afraid to bring them up.So, what's the big deal about this poem? Well, it's a reminder that we're all human. We all have these layers, like an onion. We can't just pretend that the parts we don't like or are too scared to show don't exist. "The Buried Life" is like a wake - up call, a friendly nudge to start exploring those hidden parts of ourselves. It's not always easy, but it's worth it. Because, just like a flower that finally blooms after a long winter, we can find beauty and growth in our buried lives. In my view, "The Buried Life" is a poem that everyone should read. It's not just a bunch of words on a page. It's a journey, aconversation, and a chance to discover a part of ourselves that we might have forgotten was there.。

William Wordsworth
In the first quarter, the poet got into the world of fantasy. He is as if in a dream for all the lost around feeling, especially deep buried in every one of the heart of the fear of death. Lucy, has also become a kind of the existence of god as, can neither perception, also cannot touch, the more not years by erosion. Just this in his mind that the giddy drowsiness this do why? Is according to literally, the truth themselves into a state of space travel; Or through the parable that has to Lucy's death accept? I think, should be both it. Also, seal a word, can understand into escape from reality, isolated, also can saying is get the direction, with a deep, philosophy of calm to accept death type, make oneself in shock and fear have salvation.
Contributions
1) He is the representative poet of passive Romanticism. 2) He emphasized the liberating aesthetic. 3) The most important contribution Wordsworth has made is that he has not only started the modern poetry of the growing inner self, but also changed the course of English poetry by using ordinary speech of the language and by advocating a reform to nature.

Human Life a Poem
I think that, from a biological standpoint, human life almost reads like a poem. It has its own rhythm and beat, its internal cycles of growth and decay. It begins with innocent childhood, followed by awkward adolescence trying awkwardly to adapt itself to mature society, with its young passions and follies, its ideals and ambitions; then it reaches a manhood of intense activities, profiting from experience and learning more about society and human nature; at middle age, there is a slight easing of tension, a mellowing of character like the ripening of fruit or the mellowing of good wine, and the gradual acquiring of a more tolerant, more cynical and at the same time a kindlier view of life; then In the sunset of our life, the endocrine glands decrease their activity, and if we have a true philosophy of old age and have ordered our life pattern according to it, it is for us the age of peace and security and leisure and contentment; finally, life flickers out and one goes into eternal sleep, never to wake up again.
One should be able to sense the beauty of this rhythm of life, to appreciate, as we do in grand symphonies, its main theme, its strains of conflict and the final resolution. The movements of these cycles are very much the same in a nomp3al life, but the music must be provided by the individual himself. In some souls, the discordant note becomes harsher and harsher and finally overwhelms or submerges the main melody. Sometimes the discordant note gains so much power that the music can no longer go on, and the individual shoots himself with a pistol or jump into a river. But that is because his original leitmotif has been hopelessly over-showed through the lack of a good self-education. Otherwise the nomp3al human life runs to its nomp3al end in kind of dignified movement and procession. There are sometimes in many of us too many staccatos or impetuosos, and because the tempo is wrong, the music is not pleasing to the ear; we might have more of the grand rhythm and majestic tempo o the Ganges, flowing slowly and eternally into the sea.
No one can say that life with childhood, manhood and old age is not a beautiful arrangement; the day has its morning, noon and sunset, and the year has its seasons, and it is good that it is so. There is no good or bad in life, except what is good according to its own season. And if we take this biological view of life and try to live according to the seasons, no one but a conceited fool or an impossible idealist can deny that human life can be lived like a poem. Shakespeare has expressed this idea more graphically in his passage about the seven stages of life, and a good many Chinese writers have said about the same thing. It is curious that Shakespeare
was never very religious, or very much concerned with religion. I think this was his greatness; he took human life largely as it was, and intruded himself as little upon the general scheme of things as he did upon the characters of his plays. Shakespeare was like Nature itself, and that is the greatest compliment we can pay to a writer or thinker. He merely lived, observed life and went away.
