英语作文带有现在完成时一次难忘的旅行初二

An Unforgettable Trip

Ever since I was a little kid, I've always dreamed of going on a big adventure. I've read so many stories about brave explorers venturing into the unknown, discovering new lands and having thrilling experiences. Well, this summer, I finally got to live out my own real-life adventure! My family and I have just returned from an amazing two-week trip to Costa Rica, and I'm still struggling to put into words how incredibly awesome it was.

I'd been looking forward to this trip for months. My parents surprised me by announcing our travel plans at Christmas, and from that moment on, I was bubbling with excitement. I spent hours poring over books and websites, learning all I could about the tiny Central American nation – its lush rainforests, its incredible biodiversity, its beautiful beaches. And of course, I've seen plenty of pictures and videos, but nothing could have prepared me for how stunningly gorgeous Costa Rica is in real life.

The journey itself was an adventure right from the start. After an early morning flight from chilly Boston to sunny Miami, we boarded a small propeller plane that would take us into the heart

of the rainforest. As we flew over endless stretches of vibrant green treetops, I pressed my face against the little window, marveling at the landscape far below. I've never seen anything like it!

Our first stop was at a rustic eco-lodge tucked away in the forests of Arenal Volcano National Park. From the moment we arrived, I was in awe of our surroundings. Tall trees towered all around us, their branches weighted down with vines, bromeliads, and other epiphytes. Strange-looking critters scampered through the underbrush, and the raucous calls of tropical birds provided the soundtrack. And looming over it all was the impressive Arenal Volcano, a hulking cone of grey rock and ash.

We've done so many amazing things during our week at Arenal. We went on a hanging bridges hike that took us rambling through the rainforest canopy, high above the forest floor. Another day, we went on an exhilarating white-water rafting adventure, paddling over rapids and under waterfalls. We even did an incredible canopy tour, soaring through the treetops on a series of ziplines! And of course, no trip to Arenal would be complete without a visit to the incredible natural hot springs. Soaking in those mineral-rich pools while taking in views of the magnificent volcano was pure bliss.

As awesome as Arenal was though, I think my favorite part of the trip was our week at Manuel Antonio National Park on the Pacific coast. The second we entered the park, we were surrounded by more wildlife than I ever could have imagined. Deer grazed mere feet from the trail, and the bushes were alive with chattering squadrons of squirrel monkeys. I've even gotten up close and personal with a troupe of white-faced capuchin monkeys! Those mischievous little guys were so fun to watch as they played and groomed each other along the path.

Then there were the glorious beaches. With their pristine white sands and crystal-clear turquoise water, they seemed almost too perfect to be real. We spent many blissful hours swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the glorious Costa Rican sun. One afternoon we took a tour along the coastline in a small boat, and I was amazed when we drifted into a sheltered cove surrounded by dramatic cliffs. The naturalist guide pointed out a pod of spotted dolphins frolicking just offshore. I've never seen anything so magical!

Along with all the breathtaking natural wonders, I was constantly delighted by the incredible hospitality and warmth of the Costa Rican people. Despite my limited Spanish skills, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome, greeting us with
