Module Three Sports
Unit One Nothing is more enjoyable than playing tennis.
一、教学目标
To understand the conversation about sports.
二、教学过程
Step1. Lead-in
1. Show the study aim of Unit 1.
设计意图:通过目标展示使学生明确本课重点
2.Ask students some questions.
T: How was your weekend?
What do you usually do at the weekend?
Do you usually do some sports at the weekend?
I usually do some sports at the weekend. I think it is good for our
health. Do you agree with me? Today let’s talk about sports.
设计意图:通过话题讨论,激活相关的词汇等背景知识。

Step2. Presentation
1. Show students some pictures about sports. Elicit basketball, football, table tennis, volleyball, tennis and baseball.
T: What sports do you like? What sports do you know?
设计意图:通过话题讨论,激活相关的词汇等背景知识。

2.Talk about the sports. Ask students to make sentences.
T: We have known your favourite sports. Would you like to know my favourite? I like basketball very much, because it’s very exciting and relaxing. But I don’t like baseball, because it’s very boring and difficult. How about you?
设计意图:通过话题讨论,激活相关的词汇等背景知识,为听力做情节的准备
3.Work in pairs and ask and answer.
T: I not only like playing basketball, but also like swimming. But I
think swimming is more relaxing than playing basketball.”

Step3. Listening
1. Ask students to listen. And answer the questions.
✧What sports does Daming like?
✧What sports does Betty like?
✧What does Daming think of football?
T: Let’s find out the soprts our old friends like.
2. Check the answers together.
设计意图:考察学生听懂文章大意,获取相关信息的能力。

扩展听力内容,巩固学生对生词的理解。

Step4. Listening and reading
1.Ask students to listen. And answer the questions.
What is Daming doing?
What sports does Tony like?
T: As we know Daming likes football, let’s go on listening and answer…
What sports events are mentioned?
3. Work in pairs to discuss.
设计意图:这个环节借助表格的形式,让学生在理解的基础上关注目标词汇的应用。

Step5. Reading
Read the conversation in roles.
设计意图:帮助学生在更好的理解对话。

Step6. Retelling the dialogue according to the box.
设计意图:引导学生进行口头复述,把对话转换成语段描述,提升学生语言综合概括能力。

Step7. Homework
A. Practice reading the dialogue, then practice in groups.
B. Retelling the story according to the box.
C. Work in pairs. Make a survey about the sports you and your friends like. Write them down.
设计意图:通过不同层次的作业使学生巩固本课内容。

三、教学反思(条理明晰,表述简洁明了,500字以内)
第一单元通过对大明、托尼、贝蒂三人在家观看电视足球比赛节目时的一段对话,对比了他们各自对观看比赛和参加比赛的感受,以自然的语境导入了部分双音节和多音节形容词的比较级的表达方式。

由于大部分同学都喜欢体育活动。

因此通过该主题的教学契机,让学生很好的了解并谈论了自己喜爱的运动,发表了不同的观点。

部分英语基础较为薄弱英语学习能力较差的学生,因为喜欢体育运动,都能积极的参与课堂学习。
