非正式场合中的问候用语
Hello, welcome to How to, with me, Jackie Dalton.
大家好,欢迎收听“How to”节目,我是Jakie Dalton.
In this programme: how to greet people in informal contexts.
本期节目内容:如何在非正式场合向别人问好。
There are lots of different phrases and expressions you can use and today you'll learn some of the most popular and useful ones.
(当然)你可以信手拈来许许多多诸如此类的不同表达,而今天你将从中学到一些最常规,最实用的表达方式。
One of the first words you probably learnt in English was 'Hello'- a very common way of greeting someone and suitable in both formal and more relaxed situations.
‘Hello’大概是你最先学会的单词之一,这是一种通用语正式场合或是轻松场合的招呼别人的方式。
Now we're going to here some other expressions, and these are for informal situations. So here we go!
现在我们来看看其他的一些用于非正式场合的表达。
我们开始吧。
Listen to this short clip of Matt saying hello to Jane.
让我们听听Matt向Jane问好的一段对话。
What word is used here instead of 'hello'?
看看这儿用了哪一个词来替换‘Hello'?
It was simply 'hey' - more informal than hello.
这儿用到了一个简单的字眼——hey,比hello更不正式。
Hey Jane…
嗨,Jane
It sounds a bit like 'hi', which you almost certainly used before as another slightly less formal version of hello. '
‘hey’听起来有点像‘hi’,作为hello的非正式表达,你过去肯定也用过。
'Hi Jane!' with h-i and 'Hey Jane!' with h-e-y both sound relaxed.
‘Hi Jane!'用Hi和‘Hey Jane!’中的hey一样听起来(语气)都很轻松。
Now, for our next greeting.
好,让我们来看下一个。
What's this one?
是什么呢?
Alright
好不错
Alright Carrie! How are you?
我还好啦,Carrie。
你呢?
'Alright' - that's very informal.
‘Alright’-非常口语的表达
Alright Carrie!
我还好啦,Carrie。
'Alright Carrie!'
我还好啦,Carrie。
In England and Australia, you often hear it with 'mate' - an informal word meaning 'friend' which refers to the person you're speaking to.
在英国和澳大利亚,他们大多会在这儿(Alright之后)用到‘mate’这个词——日常用语,指的是正和你交谈的人,意为“朋友,伙计”.
'Alright mate!'
还行吧,伙计。
So a reminder of our opening expressions for greeting so far: 'Hello Richard!' 'Hi, Richard!' 'Hey Richard!' 'Alright Richard!' or 'Alright mate!'
到目前为止,我们打招呼的表达方式有:‘喂Richard!’嗨Richard!嘿Richard!嘿Richard 或者,嗨伙计!
So you've said 'hi' to someone…what next?
那说了‘hi’之后呢?接下里说什么?
Well, the normal thing, as in so many cultures is to ask them how they are.
呃,在许多文化里,(打招呼的时候)经常会问别人过得怎么样。
The most straightforward phrase: 'How are you?'
最直截了当的说法:‘你好吗?’
But how else could you say that in a relaxed situation?
但要是在轻松的场合,你会怎样表达呢?
'You alright?'
‘You alright?’你还好吗?
Of course the most correct way of saying this would be 'Are you alright?'
当然,这样说的正确表达应该是‘Are you alright?’
But it often just becomes, 'You all right?'
但其实常常会说成,‘You all right?’
Hello Carrie, you alright?
Carrie,你还好吗?
And yes, you're right, we just looked at'Alright!' as another way of saying hello, but we also use it to ask how someone is.
对,你说的没错,我们刚刚看到的‘Alrght’这个词是用来问好的,但我们也可以用来问别人过得怎么样
Now listen for another way to ask how someone is.
现在来听一下问候别人的另一种表达。
'How you doing?'
‘How you doing?’你还好吧?
Again, 'How are you doing?' would be more correct, but we often miss out the 'are' so it's just 'How you doing?'
和前面一样,它的正确表达是‘How are you doing?’,但我们常会省掉‘are’,于是就变成了How you doing?
Hey Jane, how you doing?
Jane,你还好吧?
A variation on that, which you're probably more likely to hear in Australia is 'How you going?'
(How you doing)还有一种变体的表达,你很可能会在澳大利亚听到别人这么说‘How you going?’
Alright Carrie, how are you?
嘿,Carrie,你好吗?
Yeah, I'm fine Neil, how you going?
恩,我很好,Neil,你呢?
How you going?
How you going? 你好吗?
How you going?
你还好么?
'How's it going?' is another form you might hear.
你还可能会听到另一个版本‘How’s it going?’
So how could you respond when you're asked how you are?
那么,在别人问你好不好的时候,你会如何回答?
One of the most common answers is, 'Fine, thanks!'
最常见的回答是‘Fine, thanks!’
But here are some more.
但其实还远不止这一种回答。
All of them are quite informal.
它们都是相当不正式的。
Good, thanks!
很好,谢谢!
'Not bad!' which means quite good and 'good, thanks!' are both used here.
‘Not bad!’意为非常好,这里也可以用‘good, thanks!’代替。
Yeah, not bad, not bad.
还不错
You could also say 'alright, thanks!' or 'OK, thanks!' or 'very well, thanks!'
你也可以回答‘alright, thanks!’或者‘OK, thanks!’亦或是‘very well, thanks!’So, to sum up those last expressions, we've got:
那么,总结一下上诉的(回答别人问好的)表达方式,我们学到了:
Not bad!
还不错!
Alright, thanks
还行,谢谢!
OK, thanks!
还好吧,谢谢。
Very well, thanks!'
很好,谢谢!
After you've answered that question, the most usual thing to do is to return the question and ask the other person if they are well, as in these examples.
当别人向你问好之后,你常常要问一下别人过得怎么样,这儿有一些这种例子:
Yeah, no trouble, how about you, alright?
嗯,一切Okay/没什么麻烦事,你呢,还好吧?
Yeah, not bad.
嗯,还行!
You can return the question with a simple '…and you?' or 'How about you?'
你可以简简单单地回答说‘…and you?’或者‘How about you?’来问候别人。
Alright Matt, how's it going?
Matt,最近怎么样?
Yeah, no trouble, how about you alright?
嗯,还行!你呢?
Yeah, not bad
还不错
Hey Jane, how you doing?
Jane,最近怎么样?
Good thanks, and you?
很好,谢谢,你呢?
