本课是第七单元的第四篇课文,教材主要以Ben担心自己的朋友Tim有一些不良的生活习惯(Tim看太多的电视、玩太多的电脑游戏并且体重也增加了)进行劝说,所以编者给我们精心设计了Tim玩电脑的图片和两个好朋友握手言和的图片以及两个好朋友相互写给对方的一首诗展开话题,同时也使同学们意识到什么才是真正的朋友,这种既贴近学生的生活实际,又融教育思想意义为内容的课文的学习不仅使学生认识到了玩太多电脑和看太多电视对我们身体健康不好,同时,也是同学们知道什么才是真正的朋友。

二、学生分析七年级已经具备了一定的辨别是非的能力,并对于这个话题有相当浓厚的兴趣。

由此对课文中Tim出现的看太多的电视、玩太多的电脑游戏并且体重也增加了的这些问题许多同学身上都存在,同学们也想解决出现在自己身上的这个问题,但同时因为他们的心智没有完全发育成熟,所以他们有时也感到很迷茫。
