一、Teaching aims and demands:
1. Have the students know how to ask someone’s pets and how to express their favorite pets.
2. Have the students use the words such as kitten / lovely / pet / basket /cage / expensive / p uppy / hold / rabbit / touch /flat…
3. Have the students to learn these new sentences: Can I have a puppy? / Yes, you can. / No, you can’t. / You can do sth but you can’t do sth.

Tape recorder.
四、Teaching steps:
Step 1. Warming up.
The teacher and the students make a greeting with each other.
Play some games.
Step 2. Revision
Ask some Ss: Can I have a puppy?
Do you have any pets?
And let the students have a talk with each other freely.
Step 3. Presentations.
1. Ask a student: Do you have any pets? In this step we can repeat this steps several times. Then let the Students practice in pairs.
2. Revise the words using these interesting games:
Game 1: Look and say
Game 2: Guessing game
3. Revise the Part A: ① guessing game.
② Telephone game
③ Act the dialogue (Group competition)
Step 4. Practices.
1. Play some games:
Guessing game.
Telephone game.
Act the dialogue.
Step 5 Consolidations.
Do some exercises in the class.

第一步:复习(单元重点内容)
T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you again. 同学们,大家好。

T: Halloween is coming. Do you like Halloween? 万圣节就要到了。

同学们喜欢万圣节吗?T: If we were going to have a Halloween party, what do we need? 如果我们班级里也要举行一个万圣节聚会,那么我们需要一些什么呢?
T: Yes, we need pumpkin lanterns and masks. 对,我们需要一些南瓜灯和万圣节面具。

同学们你们喜欢面具吗?
第二步:完成各板块教学
T: 好,现在就让我们来学一首与万圣节面具有关的儿歌。

T: First, let’s listen. 首先请同学们来听一听。

(PPT出示儿歌)
T: OK. Is it nice? Now please read it after me. 现在请同学们跟老师一起读一读。

T: Now, can you say it? 同学们你们会说了吗?这一次请同学们跟着动画一起说一遍。

(PPT出示儿歌)
T: Good, this is a nice rhyme. 这是一首很好的儿歌,希望同学们课后也可以练习说一说。

2. F部分
T: Just now we learnt to say a rhyme about Halloween masks. 刚才我们学习说一支与万圣节面具有关的儿歌。

Now can you tell what masks do you like?(PPT2出现动物面具图片)
T: What animals do you like?
S: I like dogs.
S: I like horses.
T: 看来同学们都很喜欢动物的面具。

那么现在就让我们来做一个与动物有关的调查。

在做调查的过程中同学们可以使用以下几种句型。

Now please read them after me. ( PPT出示句型)
T: Good. 好,现在请同学们来看一看老师与以下几位同学的示范。

T: Now, please do a survey like this. 现在同学们知道如何做这个调查了吗?那就请开始吧。

T: OK. So much for the survey. 调查就到这里。

下课后,如果你有兴趣你可以去问一问你的父母或你的朋友来继续你的调查。

3.Part E
T: Now, we are going to visit a friend. 接下来,我们要去拜访一位朋友。

Look at this picture. This is Helen Brown. This is her brother Mike. And these are her parents. Today she is going to tell us about her family. 今天Helen要来给我们讲一讲她的家庭情况。

我们一起去看一看。

在我们观看短片的时候,请同学们注意以下几个问题:
1.What are Helen’s parents’ jobs?
2.Do they work on Saturdays and Sundays?
3.Do they like swimming on Sundays?
4.What do Helen and Mike like doing?
5.What do they do in the evening?

T: Good. You are all clever. Now, boys and girls please open your book to page 35, and read the passage after me. 现在请同学们一起跟老师来读一读这篇课文。

3. G部分
T: So much for the passage. 课文就读到这里。

最后请同学们来读一读这四个单词。

PPT出示G部分的四个单词。

T: Now please read after me. 现在请同学们跟老师读一读。

T: 现在请同学们想一想这里“e” 发什么音呢?
T: 对,在这些单词中字母“e”发/i:/(PPT出示音标)请同学们跟着老师一起来读一读这个音标。

T: 你还能举出一些字母“e”发同样音的单词吗?
T: 对,我们还有we, the, me 等等。

T: 接下来,请同学们来读一读书中的句子. Now please read after me.

T: 本单元我们学习许多关于万圣节的知识,希望同学们课后在学好本单元知识的基础上,多去了国外的节日文化,风土人情。
