It may include support for anew operating system update excluded in SPP but functions with the SPP components. TheSupplement will provide support for functionality that is required outside a normal SPP release cycle allowing HPE to deliver support, so customers do not have to wait on a complete SPP’s availability.Each SPP Supplement’s version number will match the version of its corresponding SPP.Supplement Release Notes will be available and will include information on the components in thebundle. If the Supplement’s contents include Linux components, the components will also beavailable on the Linux Software Delivery Repository (SDR).Once released, the functionality of the SPP Supplement contents is included in the next availableSPP.Hot Fixes associated with an SPP may work with an SPP Supplement. This service will assist you in bringing your new HPE ProLiant server and operating system into operation in a timely and professional manner.Service benefitsThis service provides a trained HPE service specialist to perform an installation that meets HPE quality standards, for:• Delivery of the service at a mutually scheduled time convenient to your organization• Helps you effectively utilize HPE products from the knowledge gained during on-site delivery of the service• Custom installation as detailed in “Delivery specifications’’ or in a Statement of Work (SOW)• Verification prior to installation that all service prerequisites are metService feature highlights• Service planning• Service deployment• Installation verification tests (IVTs)• Customer orientation sessionHPE Installation and Startup of HPE ProLiant servers HPE Support ServicesData sheetTable 1. Service featuresFeature Delivery specificationsService planning An HPE service specialist will confirm with the Customer that the prerequisites have been met and schedule the delivery of theservice at a time mutually agreed upon by HPE and the Customer, which shall be during local HPE standard business hoursexcluding HPE holidays, unless otherwise agreed by HPE. Any services provided outside of HPE standard business hours may besubject to additional charges.Service deployment The deployment activities will include:Hardware• Installation of the server: Unpacking the server, inspecting it for damage, and installing it according to the product specifications(If the server is part of a rack system, it will be inserted into the rack.)• Installation of hardware options: System hardware options purchased with the system will be installed at the same time• Physical connection of the product to a LAN, as appropriate• Consolidation of all packaging material and notification to the Customer that the materials are ready for removalSoftwareInstallation of one eligible Operating System. Eligible Operating Systems are defined below:• For Microsoft® Windows Server®:–Installation of the operating system and the appropriate network protocols, as required–Creation of a Windows Server account with up to three user accounts–Creation and setup of one Windows Server file share on a local disk–For ProLiant DL380 Packaged Cluster only, installation and configuration of Microsoft Cluster software according to theproduct installation guide• For Linux® server operating systems:*–Installation of the operating system and the appropriate network protocols, as required–Installation of HPE drivers, as applicable–Creation of a Linux server account with up to three user accountsThe supported Linux distributions for installation as part of this service are Red Hat® Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE LinuxEnterprise Server (SLES).*For systems with multiple servers per chassis, one operating system (OS) image will be installed on one server node within thechassis. If an established HPE Insight Cluster Management Utility (CMU) or Microsoft WDS environment exists with a functionalPXE boot environment and server provisioning capabilities to load an OS image, then the HPE installation engineer will load oneOS image to all server nodes within the chassis.Enable remote support to allow for automatic case creation for hardware failures, and for proactive deliverables provided underapplicable service levels. 开始安装的界面，有了选择的菜单1、安装或升级现有系统这个选项是默认的。
选择这个选项在您的计算机系统中使用图形安装程序安装红帽企业版Linux。
2、使用基本的视频驱动程序安装系统这个选项允许您在安装程序无法为您的显卡载入正确驱动程序时使用图形模式安装红帽企业版Linux。
如果您在使用「安装或者升级现有系统」时屏幕出现扭曲或者成空白屏幕，重启您的计算机并尝试使用这个选项。
3、救援模式选择这个选项修复已安装但无法正常引导的红帽企业版Linux 中的问题。
虽然红帽企业版Linux 是非常稳定的计算机平台，但偶尔也会发生无法引导的问题。
救援环境包含可让您修复大量此类问题的工具程序4、从本地设备启动这个选项使用第一个安装的磁盘引导。
如果您误用这个磁盘引导，请使用这个选项立刻从硬盘引导且不用启动安装程序。
5、内存测试我们选择“Install or upgrae an existing system”第二张，直接跳过，是验证安装镜像完整性的。
(按TAB切换到”skip”)第三张，新版的安装画面，和RHEL5版本的红色还有是很大差别的。
第四张，系统安装语言选择，一般情况下安装英文即可，自己玩的话，安装语言可以选择中文简体的。
(这里为了以后编码统一，我们选择”English”)第五张，选择合适的键盘，系统默认检测出来的就行了，没有特别原因不需要修改。
第六张，这个是新版安装过程中的第一个靓点，大家可以明确的知道，RHEL6对存储的支持力度了。
SAN已经直接支持了，RHEL5的时候可没有这么直接了。
（这里我们选择“基本存储设备”）第七张，设定主机名，测试环境，所以使用默认的主机名。
第八张，在主机名下面有配置网络的按钮。
点下，看看到底有什么东西。
呵呵，在安装界面就支持这么多种方式的安装啊。

设置时钟，时钟设置有问题，会影响很多troubleshooting的。

在翻译原文的过程中会对原文做一些补充说明，望大家可以忍受。
本手册描述了如何启动红帽企业版 Linux 6安装程序(anaconda)以及如何安装红帽企业版6操作系统，同时还 涵盖了高级安装方式，如 Kickstart 无人值守安装、VNC 安装。
最后还将对常见问题进行分析说明。
二、Boot Options(启动选项): 2.1 概述 红帽企业 Linux 6安装程序为管理员提供了一系列的功能与选项，要使用这些选项你可以在 boot:提示符后 输入 linux option。
在 RHEL6的图形安装中，如果要得到 boot:提示符，可以按 Esc 键。
如何你希望在此指定多个安装选项， 那么在选项之间需要一个空格分隔。
linux option1 option2 option3 ... 如： 2.2 RHEL6启动菜单简单选项： 语言 显示分辨率 接口类型(图形、字符) 安装方式 网络设置 # 语言： 为安装程序及系统设置语言， 使用 lang 选项指定语言(采用的是 ISO 标准语言编码， 中文为 zh)， 使用 keymap 选项指定键盘类型。
如：使用 ISO 编码 el_GR 和 gr 分别指定希腊语言与系列键盘linux lang=el_GR keymap=gr# 分辨率： 输入 resolution=setting 选项设置显示分辨率，如设置分辨率为：1024*768linux resolution=1024*768# 文本模式： 输入 linux text 进入文本安装模式 使用 display=ip:0允许将安装图形转发到远程主机，在远程主机你需要执行 xhost +remotehostname 命令 # 升级 anaconda(红帽安装程序的名称)输入 linux updates 升级新版本的 anaconda 安装程序linux updates= 通过网络加载 anaconda 升级程序，后跟 URL 地址# 指定安装方式 首先，开机出现安装界面后可以按 Tab 键，将显示以>vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img 开始的附加界面，在此我们 可以输入 askmethod 回车， >vmlinuz initrd=initrd.img askmethod 几个下一步之后安装程序会询问我们安装方式。
Red Hat linux 4.8安装步骤
Red Hat linux 4.8安装步骤装入光盘，启动服务器，选择安装模式，在下面的界面中输入“linux text或者text linux”后回车是否检查光驱，选择跳过选择语言为English键盘为US进到分区界面，选择Autopartition, 自动分区选择第二项，全部格式化磁盘进行分区分区的一般原则，启动目录： /boot 目录为100M数据交换分区：swap 一般为内存的两倍，每个swap分区最大为4096M根目录：/ 根据磁盘大小具体分配tdx目录：/tdx 根据磁盘大小具体分配选择系统启动文件配置网络，也可在系统装好后进行配置修改主机名关闭防火墙选择语言选择时区设置开机密码选择需要安装的软件包需要安装的软件包有一下9个：Editors , Server Configuration Tools, Windows File Server, Network Sservers, Legacy Network Server, Developmeng Tools, Legacy Software Development, Administartion Tools, System Tools选择完成后，选择“OK”进行系统安装系统正在安装安装完成后确认“Reboot”重启服务器重启服务器后，修改服务器的启动模式，在系统启动进行到下面界面时按下字母“e”在下面界面再次按下字母“e”在下面界面再次按下字母“e”在如下界面，在LABEL=/后按一下空格键，输入single，按下回车键在此界面按下字母“b”，系统以单用户模式启动。
进入单用户模式后，输入“vi /etc/inittab”修改服务器的启动模式，将“5”改为“3”，修改成功后输入“reboot”重启服务器。
重启之后进入字符界面，在命令行上输入命令：setup 进入如下设置界面，选择系统所需要的服务。
对于行情服务器，选择以下服务即可：cpuspeed 说明：监测系统空闲百分比，降低或加快CPU时钟速度和电压从而在系统空闲时将能源消耗降为最小，而在系统繁忙时最大化加快系统执行速度。

光驱安装或U盘充作光驱安装安装准备：①购买red hat 的安装光盘或或者下载镜像文件（后缀是.iso）②硬盘中至少留2个分区给安装系统用挂载点所用分区4G以上交换分区swap，250M左右比较合适③记录电脑中下列设备型号：鼠标、键盘、显卡、网卡、显示器网络设置用到的IP地址、子网掩码、默认网关、DNS名称服务器地址信息等安装过程：（1）启动服务器，按F2，进入bios设置：选择boot选项，boot:Boot option #1:如果是光驱安装，则设置光驱启动；如果是U盘安装，则设置USB启动（类似USB 2.0 USB Flash Drive 0.00）—>选择save选项，保存并退出；或者，如果光驱支持自启动，将直接出现下面的（2）Boot：linux text console=ttyS0,115200n1,回车（3）提示：是否测试安装CD的内容的完整性，选“Ok”开始测试安装CD，选“Skip”不测试安装CD（第一次安装当然要测试安装CD，选“Ok”后回车）安装过程中，可以对安装介质做检测，因检测时间慢，为提高效率，建议选择“Skip”来跳过（4）进入欢迎的界面：“Ok”（5）进入选择安装语言的界面：选择安装向导所用语（不是安装系统所用语），一般是English（6）安装方式：通过什么安装的或用来安装的那个linux在什么地方？Local CDROM本地光盘——如果是光盘的话，应该选第一个，光驱安装Hard drive 本地硬盘NFS Image 网上邻居映像文件FTP FTP服务器Http http服务器“Ok”（7）进入安装序列号界面：选择（*）Skip entering installation Number，“Ok”（8）进入授权认证界面：“Skip”（9）进入分区类型界面：注释：安装程序需要对您的硬盘进行分区.大多数用户使用默认的分区布局对就可以了。

下面就开始安装Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 了，在图3-24所示的开始安装界面中点击 “Next”按钮。
接下来进入到了安装语言选择界面，如图3-25所示，选择 “简体中文”。注意：这里选择的语言只是在安装过程中使
用的语言，并不影响安装完成后所使用的语言支持。
单击“Next”按钮，进入如图3-26所示的键盘设置界面，安装 程序检测到的键盘类型会加亮显示，默认为美国英语式键盘。 你也可以选择最合适的键盘类型，或者在安装完成后使用 “redhat-config-keyboard”工具进行修改。

下面会询问是否需要设置多种启动方式，这 里全部选中然后点击“Next”，如图3-6所示。
接下来就可以安装了，点击“Install”按钮进 行安装，如图3-7所示。
由于安装的虚拟机是汉化绿色版6.0.2，这里需要输入序列号，在开始的 安装提示窗口中已经说明，直接按“CTRL+V”粘贴即可，如图3-8所示。 注意：在此之前不可以使用“复制”和“剪切”等功能，否则这里就无 法正确粘贴序列号了。

18.1.2 Webmin的安装与配置
1．安装Perl语言解释器
由于Webmin是用Perl语言写成的管理工具，所以在安装 Webmin之前，先要在系统中安装Perl解释器。RHEL 6默认 已经安装了Perl语言解释器，可使用下面的命令检查系统是 否已经安装Perl以及安装了何种版本。 [root@rhel6 ~]# rpm -q perl perl-5.10.1-115.el6.i686 如果系统还未安装Perl，可从RHEL 6安装盘中找到Perl的 RPM安装包文件perl-5.10.1-115.EL6.i686.rpm，然后使用下 面的命令进行安装： [root@rhel6 ~]# rpm -ivh perl-5.10.1-115.EL6.i686.rpm
3.Telnet服务的启动与关闭 Telnet服务并不像其他服务（如HTTP和FTP等）一样作为独立的守护 进程运行，它使用Xinetd超级服务程序管理，这样不但能提高安全性而 且还能使用Xinetd对Telnet服务器进行配置管理。 Telnet服务安装后默认并不会被Xinetd启用，修改 /etc/xinetd.d/telnet 文件将其启用。/etc/xinetd.d/telnet文件是 Xinetd程序配置文件的一部分 可以通过它来配置Telnet服务器的运行参 数。将/etc/xinetd.d/telnet中的disable = yes语句改为disable = no， 然后使用下列命令重启Xinetd服务后即可启动系统的Telnet服务： [root@rhel6 ~]# service xinetd restart 如要关闭Telnet服务，只需将/etc/xinetd.d/telnet文件中的 “disable = no”语句修改为“disable = yes”，然后重启Xinetd服务即可。
