The grammatical function of Infinitive form( to do)

1.主语subject:

To live means to create. ( To tell lies is wrong.)

(It is easy (for us) to do that.)

2.表语predictive

The greatest happiness is to serve the people.

(She doesn’t seem to like the idea.)

He doesn’t know what to do.

( I find it easy to get on with her.)
