小学英语课堂之warming up小学英语课堂之warming up一堂成功的英语课往往给人以美的享受,取决于良好的开始,即warming up.一堂课中如果运用得当,就能直接吸引学生,极大地调动学生学习的积极性,使课堂气氛变得轻松活泼,课堂活动进行的也会顺利一些。

在新课程标准的要求下,warming up 就变得尤为重要。

笔者就此谈谈自己课堂中的warming up.一.以旧带新依旧带新就是教师在新授课之前,帮助学生复习已学过知识或与本课有关的语言点及知识点。

这个方法一般使用在某个单元内的板块教学,或者知识点衔接比较紧密的单元之间。

在复习的过程中,利用warming up可以充分调动学生的学习积极性,帮助学生复习已学知识,从而更好的导入新课。

例如我在新授牛津5Bunit8 At the weekends BC 板块时,我会在warming up 环节这样设计:“Boys and girls,I like taking photos,so I usually take photos on Saturday and Sunday.What do you usually do on Saturday and Sunday?”因为这个句型在5A以及本册书unit 4 已学,所以对于学生来说,回答并不难。

学生会说I usually........于是我会顺势导入Saturday and Sunday means weekend, on Saturday and Sunday means at the weekend?What do you usually do on Saturday and Sunday?we also can say How do you spend your weekend?这样,我不仅很自然的从warming up 导入到本课时新授知识,而且减轻了学生学习新知的难度,学生学得轻松自在。

让英语教学中的“Warming-up ”warm起来“Warming-up”相当于英语课堂中的热身和启动,是组成小学英语课堂教学不可或缺的一部分,是教师引领小学生进入英语课堂,进行有效学习的重要环节。

在课堂上的目的是让学生在最短时间内进入课堂学习的最佳状态。

Warm-up部分理想的教学效果应该是营造和谐的课堂气氛,激发学生的兴趣,调动学生参与课堂活动的积极性,使学生敢于并乐于开口说英语。

如果能够恰当地、有组织地设计好Warming-up,便可以轻轻松松地让学生从汉语的氛围中过渡到英语,从而给整节课的深入学习打下坚实的良好基础。

同时,Warming up的内容也将为本节课的学习内容作一铺垫。

一、准备Warming-up小学生具有争强好胜和积极活泼的心理特点,为了让自己在课堂上有好的表现,扮演好“小老师”的角色,他们会煞费苦心地去认真“备课”。

当然这里对于大部分学生比较有用,部分不自觉的学生还是不能够积极主动的完成任务。

如在学习牛津小学英语3B的 A boy and a girl中,我就要求学生事先根据书本的句型训练介绍自己,学生回家后反复练习相关资料,直至能够像教师一样自如地脱稿进行“教学”。

二、组织Warming-up学生在准备好教师布置的任务和自己挑选的内容后,要想完美地呈现出来,必须把各部分内容合理、有效地组织起来。

教师一贯采用的组织形式已让学生感到枯燥乏味,要想有所突破,学生必须发挥自己的主观能动性和创造性。

把Warming-up内容根据自己的想法组织起来,既要控制时间,也要让Warming-up与接下来的Presentation过渡自然,衔接得当,为教师接下来的“教”作好铺垫。

在实际教学中,老师们都会想方设法去设计一些热热闹闹的活动来完成每节课的开场白,但是热闹过后,我们细心地回想一下,又有多少活动能真正体现Warming-up的意义呢?我认为,作为一名教师首先应当认真地研究教材、明确教学目标,应当从学生的年龄特征出发,在内容的选择和活动形式的选择两方面多下功夫,设计一些有针对性和创新性的活动,让学生既复习巩固了学过的旧知识,又为学习新知识做好铺垫。

在人民教育出版社出版的2003版高中英语教材中,每个单元都有一个warming up(热身)部分,引出本单元的话题。

遗憾的是,有的教师并没有对它引起足够的重视,没有很好地利用它。

其实,这一部分的作用不可小看。

可以说,抓好了这一部分,这节课就成功了一半。

下面笔者就warming up(热身)的作用和实施方法谈谈拙见,不当之处敬请各位同行及专家批评指正。

一般说来,学生对难学的学科很难产生兴趣。

而在我们文化欠发达地区,英语是学生最怕的学科之一。

老师一进教室,学生就开始感到厌倦,有的讲话,有的打瞌睡,有的搞小动作。

在这种情况下,教师的情绪也会受到影响,准备得再好的课也上不好。

但如果教师能够搞好课前热身,调节学生情绪,激发学生学习积极性,情况就大不一样。

一首英文歌曲、一首英文小诗、一个小故事、幽默笑话、游戏等,都能激发学生的兴趣,使学生的注意力不知不觉地集中起来。

二、warming up(热身)能够调节学生情绪。

当学生情绪低落,精神萎靡不振,或者烦躁不安的时候,或者显得非常疲惫的时候,教师如果能利用好warming up(热身)的话,就能迅速调节学生情绪,使学生活跃起来,从而集中精力听课。

尤其是夏天下午的课和体育课后的英语课,更是如此。

这种时候,学生通常都显得非常疲倦,昏昏欲睡,如果教师不能调节学生的情绪,这课怎么上得下去?如果教师能利用warming up(热身)调节学生情绪,使学生兴奋起来,那么,这节课的效果比起按部就班就要好得多。

如何让英语课堂“warming-up”环节高效起来

2013年第10期Which country is left out?Why?”时,学生的回答往往只是口语化的语言“Wales”“It is Wales”,回答原因时则回答“It is part of England”“People think it is part of England”。

答案虽然是正确的,但没有使用稍微复杂一点的句子。

此时老师可以鼓励学生用不同的句式回答:“The country left out is Wales.”“It is Wales that is left out.”“It is usually assumed to be part of England.”“The reason why Wales is left out is that It is usually assumed to be part of England.”又如,在讲解find+宾语+宾语补足语这个结构时,也可以让学生有意识地练习:You’ll find him difficult to get along with.You’ll find it difficult to get along with him.You’ll find that he is difficult to get along with .这样就可以让学生在日常学习中不断丰富自己的语言表达方式,循序渐进地提高英语写作和口语能力。

教材里的文章也不乏一些好的句子结构,这些句子结构对写作很有帮助,但教师不能单纯地要求学生死记硬背,而要注重学习仿写。

死记下来的东西往往是记忆层面的,学生即使能背,也不一定会在作文时运用。

所以教师必须要强化学生的仿写运用意识,依葫芦画瓢虽然简单,但做得多了也会成为自己的东西。

课文中有这样的句子:“It is a pity that the industrial cities built in the nine-teenth century do not attract visitors.”句中不仅使用了it 做形式主语,还用了过去分词作定语。
