The Scenery on the 5 Yuan Note
Have you ever taken a close look at the pictures on the money in your pocket or wallet? On the back of the green 5 yuan note, there are some really cool drawings that show part of the beautiful scenery in China. Let me tell you all about what I see on there!
Right in the middle of the banknote is a huge picture that takes up most of the space. This is a drawing of the Lushan Mountain, which is a famous and iconic mountain located in Jiangxi Province. The artist has captured every little detail of this natural wonder.
Rising up from the ground, I can see the rocky cliffs and steep slopes that make up the mountain's rugged surface. The rocks look craggy and rough, almost like the scales on a dragon's back. Towering high above are the mountain's lofty peaks that disappear up into the clouds. I imagine those peaks must scrape the bellies of jet planes flying overhead!
Covering the entire mountain from base to summit is a lush blanket of vibrant green trees and vegetation. Trees of all shapes and sizes seem to sprout from every nook and cranny. Some have thick, sturdy trunks while others are slender and willowy. Their leafy branches spread out in wild, chaotic patterns, shading the forest floor below. From up close, you'd get lost roaming among those twisting, tangled trees. But from high above, the trees blend together into a solid mass of green that carpets the entire mountainside.
Winding its way through the heart of the mountain scenery is a wide, rushing river. The river's banks are bordered by rocks and boulders of varying shapes and sizes. The water itself seems to be tinted a deep blue-green color, no doubt stained by the forests and minerals in the mountain soil. As the river rounds a curve, the flow becomes rapid and turbulent, with crashing waves and white rapids. Further along, the river calms once more into a serene, gently meandering stream. I'll bet the sound of that rumbling river would be so soothing to listen to if you were hiking nearby!
Dotting the riverbanks are a handful of traditional Chinese buildings with their iconic curved roof tops and wooden construction. The artist has included some pavilions, long
covered walkways, and even a quaint little arched bridge over the river. Imagine getting to stay in one of those cozy little buildings tucked away in the remote mountain scenery. You could spend your days exploring the forests, following the river, and breathing in the crisp, pine-scented air.
While the majestic, unspoiled mountain landscape takes center stage, the artist has also included some human elements as well. Look closely and you'll see two tiny figures on one of the covered walkways, perhaps visitors out for a stroll and enjoying the sights. There's also a solitary fisherman standing in the river, pole in hand, hoping to catch a bite. A flock of birds soars high overhead, their wings outstretched as they glide on the wind currents. Even with these few signs of human life, the overall scene is one of serene quietude and harmony with unsullied nature.
Surrounding the central mountain painting is a border of elegant patterns and designs. At the very top and bottom are rows of intricate geometric shapes and Greek-looking keys that look almost like lace or wrought iron fencing. Along the sides are vertical columns made up of strange circular symbols that could be ancient writing or simply more decorations. The corners are marked by square-shaped emblems featuring birds with long,
flowing tails. These embellishments make the entire scene look like it's been encased in an ornate picture frame, almost like a precious work of art.
The drawings on the back of this humble little 5 yuan note are so much more than just boring pictures on money. To me, they capture the raw, untamed beauty and power of China's natural landscapes. The craggy peaks, the verdant forests, the tumbling waters of the mighty river - they all come together to create a breathtaking vista that makes me want to pull on my hiking boots and go exploring right now! Whoever the talented artist was, they've managed to shrink down one of the nation's natural treasures and let us keep it right there in our pockets. Not bad for a little old 5 yuan note!

The Scenery on the 5 Yuan Banknote
One of my favorite things to do is look closely at the pretty pictures on Chinese money. My favorite banknote is the green 5 yuan bill because it has a super cool landscape scene on the back. Let me tell you all about it!
Right in the middle of the banknote is a giant, tall mountain. The mountain looks like it's made of solid rock and rises up super
high into the sky. Its rocky cliffs are a mix of gray, brown and tan colors. Near the very top of the mountain are some wispy white clouds drifting by. I imagine those clouds feel cold and wet if you could reach out and touch them.
The mountain takes up most of the scene on the banknote, but there are other things in the landscape too. At the very bottom is a bright blue river that looks fresh and clean. The river starts as a thin little stream on the left side of the banknote. As it flows to the right, it gets wider and wider until it becomes a large river at the bottom right corner. I'll bet that river would be fun to swim or boat in during the summer!
Along the edges of the river are some trees and bushes colored green. The trees have fluffy looking leaves and branches that provide cool shady spots to rest under. Some of the bushes have little white flowers blooming on them too. Those flowers remind me of springtime.
Behind the mountain, you can see another layer of smaller peaked mountains way off in the distance. These ones have a blue-purple color that makes them look nice and hazy, like there is fog or mist in the air. I wonder if those distant mountains have snow capped on their tops?
Up in the sky above the giant center mountain is a blazing yellow sun. Its rays stretch out from behind a cloud, giving the impression that it just peeked out from being covered up. The sun looks so bright and warm, like a welcoming smile saying hello as it shines over the whole landscape.
As I gaze at this scenic banknote design, I imagine being a traveler and coming across this breathtaking mountain view in person. I can picture myself standing at the riverbank, looking up at the towering mountain peaks reaching high above me. The fresh water would be rushing by my feet, kicked up by the current. Inhaling deeply, the air would be crisp and clean, with hints of floral scents from the blooming bushes along the shoreline. What an incredibly beautiful natural setting this would be to visit!
This iconic Chinese banknote artwork captures the majesty and splendor of nature. From the powerful rocky mountain, to the flowing blue river, to the bright warm sun - all the elements come together into one cohesive, vibrant landscape portrait. Just studying this scene makes me feel peaceful and happy inside. It reminds me of how amazing the outdoors can be, and fills me with wonderment for the natural world around us.
I feel really lucky that I get to appreciate nice artwork like this every time I look at a 5 yuan bill. Whoever the artist was, they did an amazing job making such a lovely scenery that feels full of life, even printed on a flat little piece of paper money. Their drawing skills allow the landscape to jump off the banknote, being a vibrant window into an idealistic natural paradise.
Maybe someday I'll even get to visit a mountain, river and valley setting like this one for real. Until then, I can keep admiring the beautiful 5 yuan scene and letting my imagination run wild picturing myself experiencing those serene sights in person. Thanks to this painter's fantastic artwork, I'll always have that picture-perfect landscape close at hand to marvel at and dream about.

The Scenery on the 5 Yuan Banknote
Have you ever looked closely at the pretty pictures on the money in your pocket or wallet? The 5 yuan banknote is one of my favorites because it shows such a beautiful scene from nature. Let me tell you all about it!
On the front of the blue 5 yuan bill, there is a big picture that takes up most of the space. It shows a majestic river winding
through tall green mountains. The mountains look rugged with sheer cliffs rising up on both sides of the river valley. Their peaks are capped with snow that glistens like diamonds in the sunlight.
The river itself is a thick ribbon of blue-green water tumbling over rocks and boulders. I imagine the sound of it crashing and gurgling would be like a roaring monster if I could hear it. Towards the top of the picture, the river narrows and the mountains crowd in closer together. But further down, the valley opens up and the river gets wider and smoother.
On the near bank of the river, there is a stretch of flatter land with fields and farms. I can see tidy rows of crops being grown, maybe rice or vegetables. The little farmhouses have sweeping curved roofs in the traditional Chinese style, with upturned corners pointing to the sky like elf shoes. Tall, skinny bamboo plants sway gently in the breeze. It looks like such a peaceful, rustic place to live simply off the land.
Farther back from the river, more mountains rise up, layer upon layer, until the highest peaks get lost in whispy clouds. The mountains definitely steal the show in this landscape picture. They have grooves and wrinkles sculpted into their sides, making them look very old and sturdy, like wise grandfather mountains watching over the valley below.
One of the things I like most about this scene are the splashes of color. The green mountains darken into bands of blue-green where the shadows fall across their folds and curves. The snowy peaks catch the golden light in dazzling bright patches. And the river itself shimmers with reflections of blue sky in some spots, and gray rock in others. It all comes together into a really vibrant, dynamic picture that seems like it could almost be moving if I stare at it long enough.
Doesn't it sound like a beautiful, peaceful place? It makes me want to go hiking and exploring through that river valley. I could walk along the rocky shore, dipping my toes into the cold, rushing water. Or climb part way up one of those big mountains to get a bird's eye view over everything. Maybe I'd see wild monkeys or exotic birds flitting through the trees! I could build a little hut in the woods and live off the land like the farmers, picking berries and mushrooms. Just thinking about it makes me excited for adventure.
The scenery on the back of the 5 yuan note is pretty too, but not quite as dramatic. It shows the pavilion-style buildings of the Daxing'anling National Nature Reserve up in northeastern China. The little pavilion roofs have those same fun upturned corners like the farmhouses. And there are tall pine trees clustered
around it. While pretty, it doesn't capture my imagination quite like the river valley scene.
That landscape just looks like such an amazing natural wonder of our world. It makes me feel very lucky to live on a planet with environments as diverse and beautiful as those shown on the 5 yuan bill. The artist did a really nice job capturing all the details like the textures of the rock, the shimmering reflections in the water, and the varied colors of the scenery. Just by studying that one picture, I can imagine what it might feel like to actually stand there amidst those towering mountains with the powerful river rushing by.
Isn't it cool that we have these little landscape masterpieces printed right on our everyday money? Next time you have a 5 yuan note in your hand, I hope you'll take a moment to really look at that amazing river valley vista. See if it inspires a sense of wonder, adventure and appreciation for nature's grandeur, just like it does for me. Our world is such an awesomely beautiful place when we take the time to notice!

The Scenery on the 5 Yuan Banknote
Have you ever looked really closely at the pretty pictures on the money in your pocket or piggy bank? The scenery on the 5 yuan banknote from China is super cool! Let me tell you all about it.
On the front of the banknote, there is a big picture in the middle of the Lushan Mountain. Lushan is a famous and beautiful mountain area in Jiangxi Province. The mountain looks so tall and mighty, towering up into the sky. Its rocky cliffs and peaks are a greenish-gray color. The mountain is covered with trees that look like fuzzy green blankets draped over its slopes and ridges. Wisps of white clouds are swirling around the very top.
At the base of the mountain, there is a small village nestled in between the mountain peaks. The village has lots of traditional Chinese architecture with curved roof tops and wooden beams. The houses look very old but sturdy, like they have been standing there for many centuries respectfully sharing the space with the mountain. I can imagine monks or scholars living a simple, peaceful life in these humble homes while appreciating the beauty of nature around them. There are little stone pathways winding between the houses, offices and monasteries.
Off to the left side of the village, there is a stone bridge arching over a river. The bridge looks very old too, made of gray stone blocks. It has a simple curved design with only one hollow arch making the bridge. I wonder how many people and animals have walked across that bridge over the years? The river below is a vibrant teal color and looks so clean and refreshing. Its waters must be pure and crisp, flowing down from the mountain's streams and springs.
Along the banks of the river, there are several women wearing simple blue dresses with their hair tied up. They are balancing big wooden buckets of water on each end of a wooden pole across their shoulders. It looks like hard work carrying such heavy loads, but I bet the water is worth it if it tastes as fresh as the river looks! There are also a couple of small wooden boats with striped awnings floating on the river. I imagine they are fishing boats going out for a daily catch.
In the background behind the village, there are even more tall mountains fading into the distance. The wispy clouds are swirling around their peaks too. It's such a peaceful, scenic view with the layered mountains, village and river together.
On the back of the banknote, there is another gorgeous picture of natural scenery. This time it is showing the Liuye
Waterfall which is located in Guangxi Province. Waterfalls are my favorite natural wonder - they are just so powerful and mesmerizing to watch!
The Liuye Waterfall is very wide, stretching almost across the entire back of the banknote. It is not one single stream of water, but many smaller streams branching off and flowing over the edge at different angles. The water seems to almost take on a feathery, fluffy texture as it cascades down in ribbons through the air.
At the very top, the water is a deep teal color like the river on the front. But as it tumbles down, the water gets frothier and takes on a milkier bluish-white shade from all the bubbles and splashing. There is so much mist being kicked up that it looks like clouds are hugging the base of the waterfall. Can't you just imagine the powerful roaring sound it would make?
The cliff that the waterfall is spilling over is a warm orange-yellow color of solid limestone or sandstone rock. It has a sort of striped or layered pattern giving it lots of interesting texture. The curves and ridges of the cliff face looks very artistic, like nature's abstract sculpture. Small bushes and trees are clinging to the cliff's surface wherever there is a crack or crevice for their roots to find purchase.
Down at the very bottom, there is a small pool of water collecting from all the cascades. The water is swirling and churning from the force of the waterfall crashing down into it. It must be incredibly deep and frothy. I would love to go exploring along the edges of that pool! There are a few small willow trees reaching their feathery branches out over the pool to try and get a drink of the cool, fresh water.
Surrounding the waterfall and pool are lots of tall, slender pine trees that seem to stretch up towards the sky endlessly. Their needle leaves look so soft and fuzzy from far away, fading up into bands of misty blue haze the higher up you look. The scenery is so gorgeous - a lush, tropical paradise to surround the magnificent waterfall.
Isn't it amazing how these banknotes capture the natural splendor and beauty of the Chinese landscape? I feel so lucky whenever I get a chance to study these intricate scenes. It's like a little work of art to appreciate wherever I go. The views of the towering mountains, humble village, flowing river and roaring waterfall instantly transport me to those peaceful, serene locations. They make me want to go explore those faraway places for myself someday! Looking at money has never been so much fun.

The Scenery on the 5 Yuan Banknote
Have you ever looked really closely at the pretty pictures on the money in your pocket? The 5 yuan banknote has some amazing scenery on it that reminds me of my trip to the West Lake in Hangzhou last year. Let me tell you all about the incredible sights on this green colored bill!
On the front of the note, you can see part of the West Lake itself right in the middle. The lake looks so peaceful and calm, like a huge mirror reflecting the trees and buildings around its curved shores. The water is a brilliant shade of bluish-green that reminds me of a precious jewel. Ripples gently disturb the glassy surface as birds glide overhead, leaving tiny trails in their wake.
Surrounding the lake, there are rolling hills covered in lush green trees and plants of all shapes and sizes. The trees almost seem to be bending down to admire their own reflections in the pristine waters below. I can almost smell the earthy scent of the forest drifting across the lake. Little gardens and pathways wind through the thick vegetation like secret passageways just waiting to be explored.
If you look up towards the top of the hill on the right side, you'll see the magnificent Leifeng Pagoda rising up towards the sky. This octagonal tower is so tall and pointed, it looks like it could almost pierce the clouds! The pagoda appears to be made of gleaming yellow stone that sparkles brilliantly in the sunlight. Delicate arched windows and balconies line each level, making the entire structure seem almost too perfect and fairytale-like to be real. I dreams of one day climbing up to the very top and looking out over the whole breathtaking panorama.
As your eyes move down from the pagoda, you can make out the famous Su Causeway stretching across part of the lake like a long brick road. Dozens of curved arches create a zigzag pathway that allows visitors to leisurely stroll right over the shimmering waters. In the distance, I can see traditional Chinese-style buildings with upturned roofs lining the causeways, perhaps housing little cafes or souvenir shops. I can picture myself walking along the causeway, listening to the gentle lapping of waves and admiring the architecture.
In the foreground, a small boat glides across the lake, leaving a frothy white trail in its wake. The sleek wooden vessel almost seems to be floating on a cloud with its bright red flag whipping in the wind. A few tiny human figures are visible
lounging on the deck as the boatman guides them across the scenic waters. I imagine the peaceful ride, inhaling the fresh lake air as the beautiful scenery drifts slowly by.
The entire scene captured on the banknote looks so serene and picturesque that it could easily be a traditional Chinese painting come to life. Just looking at it fills me with a sense of tranquility and wonder at the natural beauty surrounding the West Lake. Every tiny detail, from the architecture to the plant life to the activities on the water, combines to create a stunning visual feast that makes me long to be there in person.
My trip to actually visit this real-life scenery was full of magic and delight, but also exhaustion from walking so much! I'll never forget riding a boat on the lake and being able to experience up close the sights so exquisitely depicted on the banknote. The lush greenery, the historic buildings, the crisp air and sparkling waters - it was like being transported to a whole other world frozen in time.
I loved wandering through the lush gardens and hearing the melodies of traditional musicians trailing behind me. The reflected images shimmering in the lake were so incredibly clear and mirror-like that it almost seemed like an elaborate illusion.
No matter where I looked, there was another breathtaking view to admire of pagodas, bridges, forests or willow-lined pathways.
At times the area was quite crowded with tourists, and we had to wait in some long lines to enter certain areas or attractions. But those minor inconveniences were easily forgotten once we were up-close with the scenic splendors of the West Lake. Just resting along the shoreline and watching the ripples gently lap against the banks was enough to soak in the tranquil atmosphere.
I'll always remember the vibrant smells, from the pungent aroma of blooming lotus flowers to the mouth-watering street foods being cooking at vendors' stalls. The sights, sounds and smells all combined into an unforgettable sensory experience that truly brought the scenery of the 5 yuan note to living, breathing life. It was an adventure that made me more appreciative of my country's natural treasures and ancient heritage.
Even now when I take out a 5 yuan bill from my pocket, I'm transported back to those magical moments in Hangzhou. The illustrations

Have you ever looked closely at the pictures on the money we use every day? The 5 yuan bill is so much more than just a piece of paper with numbers on it – it's a tiny window into some of the most beautiful places in China! Let me take you on a journey through the amazing scenery shown on this special banknote.
On the front side, we can see a majestic view of the Huangguoshu Waterfalls in Guizhou Province. These mighty falls are one of the largest and most powerful waterfalls in all of Asia! Can you imagine standing before them and feeling the rumbling force of all that water crashing down? The picture shows the waterfalls surrounded by lush green forests and towering cliffs. I bet the air around there is so fresh and clean.
But the back of the 5 yuan note is where the real adventure begins! Here we have not one, but three breathtaking natural scenes to explore. In the center, there's the Li River winding its way through the famous karst hills and peaks around Yangshuo in Guangxi. Those hills look like giant green humps rising up from the earth, with the river gently curving between them. I can picture small boats drifting along the water, with bright red lanterns hanging from their bows.
To the left, the blue waters of Qinghai Lake shimmer in the sunlight. This giant lake lies over 3,000 meters above sea level on the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau. Snow-capped peaks soar up behind it, making it seem like a jewel set in a crown of mountains. The air up there must be so thin and crisp. I wonder if the lake ever freezes over completely in winter?
Then on the right side of the note, we can see the iconic Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi Province. Lushan is covered in dense forests of bamboo and pine trees. Traditional pavilions and temples peek out from among the greenery. I'll bet the paths winding up the mountainside are perfect for hiking and exploring. Can you imagine the view from the very top on a clear day?
All these images make me want to put on my backpack and go adventuring across China to see them in person! The Five Yuan note is like a tiny treasure map, giving us just a glimpse of the incredible scenery waiting to be discovered. From towering waterfalls and winding rivers to high mountain lakes and lush forests, it shows the amazing natural beauty in our country.
Next time you have a 5 yuan bill in your hand, study those pictures closely. Let your imagination run wild exploring those landscapes. Maybe you'll be inspired to start planning an epic
journey to visit them all! Who knows what other incredible sights are waiting just around the next bend in the river or over the next mountain peak? China's natural wonders are truly a priceless treasure to behold.。
