Mr. President of the People's Republic of China，Mr. LIU Qi，Members of the Organising Committee，dear Chinese friends，dear athletes：
For a long time，China has dreamed of opening its doors and inviting the world's athletes to Beijing for the Olympic Games.Tonight that dream comes true. Congratulations，Beijing.
You have chosen as the theme of these Games 'One World，One Dream'. That is what we are tonight.
As one world，we grieved with you over the tragic earthquake in Sichuan Province. We were moved by the great courage and solidarity of the Chinese people. As one dream，may these Olympic Games bring you joy，hope and pride.
Athletes，the Games were created for you by our founder，Pierre de Coubertin. These Games belong to you. Let them be the athletes' Games.
Remember that they are about much more than performance alone. They are about the peaceful gathering of 204 National Olympic Committees - regardless of ethnic origin，gender，religion
or political system. Please compete in the spirit of the Olympic values：
excellence，friendship and respect.
Dear athletes，remember that you are role models for the youth of the world. Reject doping and cheating. Make us proud of your achievements and your conduct.
As we bring the Olympic dream to life，our warm thanks go to the Beijing Organising Committee for its tireless work. Our special thanks also go to the thousands of gracious volunteers，without whom none of this would be possible.
Beijing，you are a host to the present and a gateway to the future. Thank you.
I now have the honor of asking the President of the People's Republic of China to open the Games of the XXIX Olympiad of the modern era.

Dear Chinese friends,
Tonight, we come to the end of 16 glorious days which we will cherish forever.
Thank you to the people of China, to all the wonderful volunteers and to BOCOG!
Through these Games, the world learned more about China, and China learned more about the world. Athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees came to these dazzling venues and awed us with their talent.
New stars were born. Stars from past Games amazed us again. We shared their joys and their tears, and we marveled at their ability. We will long remember the achievements we witnessed here.
As we celebrate the success of these Games, let us altogether wish the best for the talented athletes who will soon participate in the Paralympic Games. They also inspire us.
To the athletes tonight: You were true role models. You have shown us the unifying power of sport. The Olympic spirit lives in the warm embrace of competitors from nations in conflict. Keep that spirit alive when you return home.
These were truly exceptional Games!

申奥历程总部位于瑞士洛桑的国际奥委会宣布，中国、印度尼西亚、摩洛哥、墨西哥、波兰和土耳其的国家奥委会已经向国际奥运会递交了申办２０１４年第二届青年夏季奥运会的申请。

国际奥委会称，这六个国家中，中国南京、印度尼西亚首都雅加达、波兰波兹南已宣布申办本届青年夏季奥运会，其他三个国家的奥委会还没有决定由本国哪个城市申办，请求给予更多时间研究决定。

国际奥委会提出必须在今年４月１日之前递交申办城市名单。

申奥现场按照国际奥委会公布的申办程序，所有申办城市须在今年９月４日前递交正式的申办报告，国际奥委会执行委员会将在１２月份宣布最终的候选城市，２０１０年在加拿大温哥华举行的国际奥委会第１２２届全会上将宣布最终获选城市。

国际奥委会第１２２届全会2010 年 2 月１１日在温哥华决定，将２０１４年第二届夏季青年奥林匹克运动会的承办权授予中国的南京市南京市。

南京市2014 年第二届青年夏季奥运会8 月16 日在南京开幕。

编辑本段比赛项目青奥会项目设定已经原则确定，它包括：游泳(跳水、游泳)、射箭、田径、羽毛球、篮球(奥运项目篮球或街头篮球)、拳击、划艇、自行车(小轮车、山地自行车)、马术(障碍)、击剑、足球、体操、手球、曲棍球、柔道、现代五项、划船、帆板、射击、乒乓球、跆拳道、网球、铁人三项、排球(室内或沙滩排球)、举重、摔跤(女子自由式摔跤、男子古典式摔跤) 共26 个大项个大项。

青奥会比赛将在“三大场馆区”的15 个不同竞赛场馆进行。

这些场馆大部分都举办过十运会和各类世界、洲际单项体育赛事，完全能满足青奥会需要。

这些场馆与青年奥运村、国际奥委
会酒店、主媒体中心的距离基本在30 分钟车程内。

南京青奥会主体育中心-南京奥体中心南京2014 年青奥会比赛场馆“三大场馆区”分别为：●奥体中心区：由南京奥林匹克体育中心等主要场馆设施组成，集中了全部15 个比赛场馆中33%的场馆和全部26 个比赛项目中55%的项目。

青年奥运村以及开、闭幕式场所都位于该区域。

该区域以体育特色为主，充分展示奥林匹克文化。

●人文风景区：由玄武湖风景区、钟山风景区和老山国家森林公园、金牛湖风景区四大风景区组成，集中了47%的比赛场馆和33%的比赛项目。

该区域以城市人文自然风景为特色，积极倡导人与自然的和谐共生。

●大学城场馆区：由南京江宁大学城地区的体育场馆设施组成，集中了20%的比赛场馆和12%的比赛项目。

该区域与江宁大学城重合，影响力覆盖15 所高校的20 万在校师生，让广大青年师生有机会直接感受奥林匹克的魅力。

青年奥组委将与国际奥委会、国际单项体育联合会以及国际专家们紧密合作，为参与南京2014 年青奥会的各国青年人和全世界致力于奥林匹克运动发展的人们，奉献一场青年奥运盛会。

闭幕式上，南京市市长季建业从国际奥委会主席罗格手中接过奥运五环旗，这意味着，青奥会已进入“南京时间”。

罗格8/27 下午抵达南京2010 年8 月27 日下午 2 时10 分，国际奥委会主席雅克·罗格乘坐专机由新加坡飞抵南京，开始为期三天的考察访问。
