This applies to product filtering as well as sanitizing with hot water, and sterilizing with the stacked disc cartridges with saturated steam. In order to avoid damage to the filter cells, the system should be protected with a suitable non-return valve.Refer to the insert included with each BECODISC stacked disc cartridge carton for detailed application information.Depending on the filtered liquids, the operating temperature should not exceed 176 °F (80 °C). Please contact Eaton regarding filtration applications at higher temperatures.Intermediate PlatesIf more than two BECODISC stacked disc cartridges (12" or 16") with double O-ring adapters are stacked in the housing, install a central spindle for safety reasons. In the event, more than one 16" BECODISC stacked disc cartridge (flat adapter/double O-ring adapter) is used in the housing, Eaton recommends the installation of stainless steel intermediate plates between the BECODISC stacked disc cartridges. When silicone/FEP coated gaskets are used the stainless steel plates are mandatory. Sanitizing and Sterilizing (Optional)Sterilizing with Hot WaterThe hot water temperature should be 185°F (85 °C). A differential pressure of 21.8psi (150 kPa, 1.5 bar) must not be exceeded when sterilizing with hot water. Sterilization time: At least 30 minutes once a temperature of 185°F (85 °C) is reached at all filter openings. In the interest of energy conservation, the water may be circulated provided the specified temperatures are maintained.Sterilizing with SteamThe wetted BECODISC stacked disc cartridges can be sterilized with saturated steam up to a maximum temperature of 250 °F (121 °C) as follows:Steam quality: The steam must be free of foreignparticles and impurities. Temperature: Max. 250 °F (121 °C)(saturated steam)Duration: Approx. 20 minutes after steam exitsfrom all filter valvesRinsing: After sterilizing with 0.61 gal/ft²(25 l/m²) at 1.25 times the flow rateFilter Preparation and FiltrationUnless already completed after sterilization, rinse the stacked disc cartridges with 0.61 gal/ft² (25 l/m²) of water at 1.25 times the flow rate prior to the first filtration. Check the entire filter for leakage at maximum operating pressure.High-proof alcoholic solutions and products that cannot be rinsed with water should be circulated with the product. Discard the rinsing solution after rinsing. Differential PressureTerminate the filtration process once the maximum permitted differential p ressure of 43.5psi (300 kPa,3 bar) is reached. A higher differential pressure could damage the depth filter sheet material. Regions of secondary structure such as hairpins or stem loops should also be avoided.2.The kit is optimized for the assembly of fragments with overlap regions between 15 – 60 bp. that high twist contributions to singlet Γp+n are theoretically rather indefinite and that there is a noticeable difference in αS from E154 and other experiments combined.
First, working with polarized targets, experimentalists have to battle with thermal ”chaos” which trends to break the polarized order. For this one needs the liquid helium temperatures. More difficulties, like depolarizing resonances, are met in acceleration of polarized particles and in controlling a polarized beam. Second, spin effects are very perfidious: as a rule, they are most strong in kinematical regions where the process itself is the least probable.
On the other hand there are strong arguments10 from the analysis of existing experimental data in favor of rather large positive ∆G. Similar arguments were presented at this workshop too 11. So, one has to be patient and wait for results of future dedicated experiments. These includes the semi–inclusive J/ψ and Λ production in DIS at COMPASS and HERA 6,12,13 and asymmetry in direct γ production at RHIC 14,15. Also we heard of original proposals for measuring the strangeness content. Processes with polarized particles have been always among the most difficult and complicated problems both for experimentalists and theorists.
As for the theory, I hardly recall a case when its first prediction was correct! As a rule, it was wrong and forced theorists to think more fundamentally to repair the theory. This resulted in a deeper understanding of particle interaction mechanics. Nevertheless many puzzles like why hyperons are produced so strongly polarized or what is the structure of the nucleon spin stay yet unsolved during decades. All these problems were the subject of those 15 invited and 45 original talk presented at VII-th Workshop on High Energy Spin Physics (Dubna-SPIN97) which held in Dubna July 7–12, 1997. What new have we learned there?

Other problems discussed were the radiative and nuclear corrections. It was shown 3 that the former are rather small and for 3He do not exceed 5% in the measured kinematical region. A new method for extracting neutron structure functions from deuteron data was proposed 4 based on the Lorentz covariant Bethe-Salpeter equation. Though it was shown that the contribution of the antinucleon degrees of freedom are suppressed, there are another distinctions with the commonly accepted approach and the method should be tested for some concrete experimental data.

Some indication for the polarized ss¯ sea comes from Λ polarization in the target fragmentation region in WA59 experiment 6. That the strange sea in the proton is really strange was demonstrated by the OBELIX Collaboration who discovered 7 that the ratio of φπ0/ωπ0 annihilation of pp¯ is about 20 times as high as the naive OZI prediction and φ’s are dominantly produced from the triplet state. This was explained by assuming a strong polarized strange sea in the nucleon 8. However, very recently the collaboration has shown 9 that a very similar channel with φη production comes dominantly not from the triplet but from singlet state.
