M: Why are you still watching TV now, Mary?

W: It’s Saturday. We needn’t go to school tomorrow.

M: I know. But there will be an important English test next Monday. Why aren’t you studying for it?

W: How do you usually study for a test?

M: By reading my notebooks the day or the night before the test.

W: That’s why you are often nervous when you have a test. But I am quite different from you.

M: How do you deal with it?

M: I think it’s very important to practice using English. So I do a lot of exercises. If you have enough practice, you may study and use it easily.

W: No one is allowed to bring food or drinks into the reading-rooms.

M: Yes. The rooms should be kept clean at any time.

M: That’s the same as our library.

W: And nobody is allowed to listen to music or discuss any projects in the library..

M: Right. I think the libraries should be the quietest places.

Zhang Hong went to to visit her friend, Ann last month. Her friend lived in Tokyo. Zhang Hong took a bus and got to the place. As she was walking upstairs, she saw a man coming downstairs. “ Excuse me, is there a Chinese lady living here?” The man looked surprised, because he didn’t understand English. He said something in Japanese, but Zhang Hong couldn’t understand what he said, either. Just at that moment, the door opened. A woman came out. It was Ann. “ Why don’t you speak Chinese to each other?” She said and laughed. “ Now let me tell you. This is my husband and this is Zhang Hong, my friend.”
