Scientists say there are now fewer than 2000pandas living in the remaining forests.
科学家们说现在不到2000只大熊猫生活在剩下的森林里。
(1)There be+doing 表示“有...正在做...”，谓语动词be要符合就近原则

(2)remaining 为形容词，意为“剩余的，遗留的”，常在句中作定语。
Eg. I bought a pen with the remaining money. 我用剩余的钱买了一支钢笔。

remaining是形容词，意为剩余的，常作前置定语
left是leave的过去分词形式，表“剩余”时，作后置定语
