Pandas do not have many , maybe only one . The
hobies often illnesses and do not live very long. Adults pandas

there are bamboo forests and pandas than there are now.
But then humans started to the forests , and there was
bamboo for the pandas. Scientists say there are now fewer than 2,000 pandas in the remaining forests.

Scientists say there are now fewer than 2000pandas living in the remaining forests.
科学家们说现在不到2000只大熊猫生活在剩下的森林里。

(1)There be+doing 表示“有...正在做...”,谓语动词be要符合就近原则
EG.There are quite a few robots working in this factory.
(2)remaining 为形容词,意为“剩余的,遗留的”,常在句中作定语。

Eg. I bought a pen with the remaining money. 我用剩余的钱买了一支钢笔。

remaining 与 left 的区别
remaining是形容词,意为剩余的,常作前置定语
left是leave的过去分词形式,表“剩余”时,作后置定语
eg.He bought me a book with the remaining money.
= He bought me a book with the money left.
