When the smoker is smoking in a restaurant, the people around him are sure to breathe in the smoke and suffer from the diseases an active smoker gets. 应不应该禁烟英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Should smoking be banned? It's a question that lots of people are talking about. Some people think smoking is really bad for our health, and it's not good for the environment too. But others say that people should have the right to smoke if they want to.I think smoking should be banned. Why? Because smoking is super bad for our health. It can make people sick and even die! And it's not just the person who smokes that gets hurt, it's the people around them too. Secondhand smoke is dangerous and can make other people sick too.Smoking is also bad for the environment. Cigarette butts are littered everywhere and they don't decompose easily. That means they just sit there, polluting our planet. We should take care of the earth and not litter with our cigarette butts. So, in my opinion, smoking should definitely be banned. It's bad for our health, bad for the environment, and bad for thepeople around us. Let's make a smoke-free world for everyone to enjoy!篇2Smoking is bad for our health. So, should we ban smoking? Some people say yes, and some people say no. Let's think about it together.First of all, smoking is really really bad for our health. It can cause lung cancer, heart disease, and other serious illnesses. Even if you don't smoke, secondhand smoke can still harm you. So, it's better to ban smoking to protect our health. But, some people say that banning smoking is not fair. They say that people have the right to make their own choices. They also say that banning smoking would hurt businesses like restaurants and bars. So, maybe we should find a compromise instead of a total ban.I think that smoking should be banned in public places like parks and schools. We should also have strict rules for where people can smoke, to protect non-smokers. But, I also think that adults should have the right to smoke if they want to. It's all about finding the right balance between protecting our health and respecting people's choices. In conclusion, we should definitely ban smoking in places where it can harm others. But, we should also remember that everyone has the right to make their own choices. Let's all work together to create a healthier and happier world!篇3Should smoking be banned?Hey everyone! Today I want to talk about smoking and whether it should be banned. I think it's really important to talk about this because smoking is not good for us at all!First of all, smoking is really bad for our health. It can make us sick and can even cause serious diseases like lung cancer. I don't want anyone to get sick because of smoking, do you? That's why I think smoking should be banned. Also, smoking is bad for the environment. When people smoke, they throw their cigarette butts on the ground and that's littering! It's not nice to litter because it can harm animals and pollute our world. So if smoking was banned, there would be less litter and our planet would be happier.Another reason why smoking should be banned is because it's not cool. I know some people think smoking looks cool, butit's really not. It can make your teeth yellow and your clothes smell bad. Plus, it's expensive to buy cigarettes! There are so many better things you could spend your money on.In conclusion, I really think smoking should be banned. It's bad for our health, bad for the environment, and just not cool. Let's all work together to make a world where smoking is a thing of the past. Thank you for listening!篇4Should Smoking Be Banned?Hi everyone! Today I want to talk about smoking and whether it should be banned.First of all, let's talk about why smoking is bad. Did you know that smoking is super duper bad for your health? It can make you sick and even cause serious diseases like cancer and heart problems. Yikes! And not only does smoking harm the person who is smoking, but it can also harm people around them through secondhand smoke. That's not very nice, is it?But some people might say, "Hey, it's my choice to smoke, so why should it be banned?" Well, that's a good point, but we also have to think about the people around us. If we smoke, we're notjust hurting ourselves, we're hurting our family and friends too. Plus, smoking can be really addictive, and once you start, it can be hard to stop. Do we really want to put ourselves in that kind of danger? I don't think so.That's why I think smoking should be banned. If we can make it harder for people to smoke, maybe they'll think twice before lighting up. And by banning smoking in public places, we can protect everyone from the harmful effects of secondhand smoke. It's a win-win situation for everyone! So, what do you think? Should smoking be banned? I say yes! Let's all work together to create a healthier and smoke-free world. Thanks for listening!篇5Smoking is bad for our health. It can cause many diseases like lung cancer, heart disease, and asthma. So, should smoking be banned?I think smoking should definitely be banned. It's not good for anyone, especially kids like us. When people smoke around us, we have to breathe in their smoke, which is called secondhand smoke. This can make us sick too!Smoking is also really bad for the environment. Cigarette butts are one of the most common types of litter and they take a long time to break down. It's not nice to see all those cigarette butts on the ground when we go outside to play. Some people might say that adults have the right to smoke if they want to. But what about our right to breathe clean air and stay healthy? I think that's more important! So, I really think smoking should be banned. It's not fair to us kids or to the environment. Let's all work together to make our world a healthier and cleaner place!篇6Should smoking be banned? This is a question that many people have different opinions about. In my opinion, smoking should definitely be banned because it is harmful to our health and the environment.First of all, smoking is really bad for our health. When people smoke, they inhale harmful chemicals into their bodies. These chemicals can cause cancer, heart disease, and many other serious health problems. Not only does smoking harm the person who is smoking, but it also affects the people around them through secondhand smoke. This means that even if youdon't smoke, you can still get sick from being around people who do.Secondly, smoking is also bad for the environment. Cigarette butts are the most littered item in the world, and they can take years to decompose. This litter not only makes our environment look dirty and unkempt, but it can also harm animals who mistake the butts for food. Additionally, cigarette smoke releases harmful toxins into the air, contributing to pollution and climate change. In conclusion, smoking is a dangerous habit that not only harms the individual's health, but also negatively impacts the environment. It is important for us to take action to protect ourselves and our planet by banning smoking. So let's all work together to create a smoke-free world for a healthier and cleaner future!。

Yet, ever since the fifties, with icons like James Dean, smoking seemed almost to be a natural part of growing up. Even though today we are aware of the health risks associated with smoking, cigarettes are still popular with a significant percentage of teenagers. In fact, 1 out of ever 5 teenagers smokes cigarettes, and across the world, over 90,000 teens start smoking every single day. Most adult smokers began their habit as teenagers. Tobacco companies have always known this and havemarketed their products accordingly. Knowing the health risks - cancer, heart disease, emphysema, etc etc etc - is not enough to break the habit once the nicotine addiction has its stranglehold on a smoker. The best way to ensure your teenager doesn't get hooked on cigarettes is to ensure they never start. However, there is a catch in trying to do this. Teenagers are by nature rebellious towards authority, including parents, school systems and governments urging them not to pick up the habit and warning them of the consequences starting.Telling a teen not to do something, particularly as they feel what happens to others is not necessarily going to happen to them, make programs and lectures about the evils of cigarettes almost a lure for them to start. However, parents can still positively influence their children not to start smoking, and to influence their smoking teenager in butting out.The best way is to be a good role model yourself, by not smoking. If you do smoke, then stop. Now. Explain to your children why you are quitting and the reasons why you hope they do not get hooked on the habit.Amanda Gordon went from an honor roll student to a drug-using teenager herself. Today, she is pursuing a PhD in Psychology to help teens and their parents deal with troubling issues including the relationship between drug use and teenager smoking有关吸烟的英语作文篇5:teenage smoking(1)In the past 20 years China has experienced an alarming increase in teenage smoking: The number of boys who smoked rose from 6 percent in 1980 to 23 percent in 2000, and during the same years, the number of girls who smoked increased as much as 15 times.(2)The statistics look quite disturbing and cause people to ask why.(3)The factors for a great rise in teenage smoking are complex.(4)Some attribute it to the increased standard of living which enables kids to have more pocket money, and others place the blame on cigarette advertising and the import of cigarettes, which give them easy access to Marlboros.(5) Whatever the causes, only particular external circumstances have been examined.(6)The factors, actually, are psychological as well as social.(7)Most young people begin to smoke just out of curiosity: they have a strong desire to experience the pleasure of smoking which is forbidden to them.(8)They also have a subconscious feeling that smoking will make them mature and tough and sophisticated.(9)When they light up a cigarette, and produce puffs of smoke carelessly, they are under the illusion that they are grown-ups instead of kids and that they are admired rather than rejected by society.(10)To help them get rid of such foolish ideas is the first step towards the effort to prevent children from starting to smoke, and then we may conduct a more extensive campaign to make them aware of the dreadful consequences of taking up the habit.(1)在过去的20年中,中国有了惊人的增长青少年吸烟数量的男生抽烟的比例从1980年的6%上升到了2000年的23%,并在同一年中,吸烟的人数增加的女孩高达15次。

英语作文对学生抽烟的看法和建议全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Say No to Smoking!Hi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about something really important - smoking cigarettes. I've learned a lot about smoking in school and from my parents, and I want to share what I know because smoking is SO bad for you!First of all, smoking is absolutely GROSS! Have you ever been near someone who is smoking? It smells terrible! Like a campfire that's been put out with a bucket of sweaty socks. Yuck! Not only that, but smoking can stain your teeth an uglyyellow-brown color. Nobody wants gross yellow teeth. And smoking makes your breath super stinky too. You don't want to be known as the kid with stinky smoke breath at school, do you?More importantly though, smoking is incredibly unhealthy and can make you very sick. Cigarettes have thousands of chemicals in them, and many of those chemicals are poisonous! When you smoke, you are basically poisoning yourself a little bitwith every puff. Over time, all of those poisons and chemicals really start to hurt your body. One of the worst things smoking does is increase your risk of getting lung cancer. Cancer is a terrible disease that can kill you if it's not stopped. Smoking damages your lungs and fills them with nasty tar and chemicals, which can turn into cancer over many years. I don't know about you, but I definitely don't want lung cancer!Smoking can also make it harder to breathe normally. It's called having decreased lung capacity. Basically, smoking gums up your lungs with all the smoke and tar, so you can't take full breaths like a healthy person. That means you can't run or play sports as well because you'll get out of breath much faster. No kid wants to be the one who can't keep up in gym class! In addition to lung problems, smoking causes lots of other health issues too. It increases your risk of heart disease and stroke. It stains and yellows your fingers and nails. It can hurt your sense of smell and taste, so food doesn't taste as good. And smoking seriously ages your skin, giving you wrinkles way earlier than non-smokers. Yikes!I could go on and on about how unhealthy and disgusting smoking is, but I think you get the picture. It's just SO bad foryou in pretty much every way. Not only that, but smoking is very expensive too. A pack of cigarettes can cost 5-10 or more! That's crazy money, especially for a kid. Think of all the toys, games, books and other fun things you could buy instead of literally burning your money away.On top of all that, smoking is also highly addictive because of the nicotine in cigarettes. Nicotine is a drug that makes your brain crave more and more of it. So if you start smoking, even just trying a cigarette once, it's very easy to get hooked and not be able to stop. Nobody wants to be addicted to drugs, right? So in summary, here are my biggest points on why smoking is a terrible, no-good idea:It smells awful and can stain your teeth and nailsIt poisons your body with thousands of chemicalsIt causes lung cancer and other diseasesIt makes it hard to breathe and be activeIt's extremely expensive, especially for kidsIt's highly addictive because of the nicotinePlease, please, please don't ever start smoking, guys! Make the smart choice to be smoke-free. Not only will you be wayhealthier and able to breathe easily, but you'll smell better, look better with nice white teeth and younger-looking skin, and you'll have more money to spend on fun stuff!I'm sure some older kids might try to pressure you into smoking by saying it looks cool or makes you an adult. But don't give in! There is nothing cool about smelly smoke breath, yellow teeth, and getting lung cancer. Those are just big bullies who want you to be addicted like they are. Be strong and say NO!If you ever find yourself in a situation where people are smoking around you, politely ask them not to smoke near you because you don't want to breathe in their smoke. Or just walk away and remove yourself from that environment. Defend your choice to be smoke-free!And if you already smoke or have tried smoking, it's not too late! Talk to a trusted adult like a parent, teacher, doctor or counselor. They can help you quit and break篇2Smoking is Really Bad and You Shouldn't Do It!Hi friends! Today I want to talk to you about something that is very bad for you - smoking cigarettes. I'm just a kid, but I knowa lot about why smoking is so unhealthy and dangerous. I really hope after reading this, you'll never want to start smoking.First of all, smoking is super gross! Have you ever gotten a whiff of cigarette smoke before? It smells so bad and lingers everywhere. It makes your breath, clothes, and hair reek. Plus, the smoke gets in your lungs and can make it hard to breathe properly. No thanks! But smelling bad is just the start of why smoking is a terrible idea. There are so many other reasons why it's hazardous to your health in a major way:Smoking causes lung cancer and other cancersYou could get scary lung diseases like emphysema that make it really hard to breatheIt stains your teeth an ugly yellow-brown colorIt increases your risk of getting heart diseaseIt's bad for the health of babies if you smoke while pregnantIt can make your skin look older and get wrinkles fasterBasically, smoking hurts just about every part of your body in some way! I don't know about you, but I definitely want my body and all my organs to be as healthy as possible. On top of all those awful health risks, there are other reasons smoking is the worst too:Cigarettes are SO expensive! That money could buy way cooler stuffYou could start fires by not properly putting out cigarettesIt's highly addictive so it's hard to stop once you startThe secondhand smoke is bad for the people around youIt makes you smell and taste bad when kissing or being intimateGross! In my opinion, there's absolutely no good reason to ever start smoking in the first place. Anyone who says "it relieves stress" or "it's cool" is just wrong. There's nothing cool about putting your health and life at risk by inhaling toxic fumes! So please, please, please don't smoke, my friends! Think about how sad your family would be if you got sick from it. And think about yourself too - don't you want to live a long, healthy, active life? Smoking gets in the way of that big time.If you've already started smoking, it's not too late to make a change! Quitting smoking is really hard because of howaddictive it is, but it's so worth it to ditch the cigarettes. Your body will start healing itself and your risk of diseases will go down. Ask your doctor or a trusted adult about strategies to stop smoking for good. For those of us who haven't started smoking yet, let's make a pact right now to never even try that first cigarette, no matter what. Peer pressure is hard, but we have to be strong! Promise yourselves and each other that you'll always choose health over cigarettes.Instead of wasting time and money on smoking, think of all the awesome things you can do instead! Play sports, make art, spend time with friends, read books, go on adventures - the possibilities are endless when you're not harming your body. Don't let an addiction to smoking take that away from you.I really hope I've convinced you that smoking just isn't worth it, no matter what. It's a hard NO from me! Spread the word to your family and friends too about how toxic and dangerous smoking can be. The more people make a choice to steer clear of cigarettes, the better. We've got a long life ahead of us, so let's make sure we take care of our incredible bodies. A future without smoking is abright, healthy future for sure! Thanks for reading, and keep being awesome!篇3Smoking is Really Gross and Bad for You!Hi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm 10 years old. Today, I want to talk to you about smoking cigarettes. It's something that some kids and grown-ups do, but I think it's really gross and bad for your health.First of all, smoking stinks! Have you ever smelled someone who just finished smoking a cigarette? It's like they rolled around in a dirty ashtray or something. Yuck! The smell gets stuck in their clothes, hair, and even their breath. It's so nasty, and it makes me want to hold my nose whenever I'm around someone who smokes. But the smell isn't even the worst part. Smoking can make you really, really sick. My mom told me that cigarettes have all sorts of chemicals in them that are poisonous. Can you believe that? People are actually putting poison into their bodies when they smoke! That's just crazy to me.One of the worst things that smoking can do is give you lung cancer. Cancer is a terrible disease that can make people very sick, and sometimes even die. The chemicals in cigarette smoke can cause cells in your lungs to grow out of control, and that's what causes lung cancer. It's really scary stuff, and it's one of the main reasons why smoking is so dangerous.Smoking can also make it harder for you to breathe. My friend Billy's dad smokes, and sometimes he has to use an inhaler because he has trouble getting enough air into his lungs. That must be really hard, especially when you're trying to run or play sports. I love running around and playing tag with my friends, and I can't imagine how tough it would be if I couldn't breathe properly.Another thing that really bugs me about smoking is how expensive it is. My dad told me that a pack of cigarettes can cost almost 10 in some places! That's a lot of money to spend on something that's so bad for you. Think of all the cool toys or video games you could buy instead of wasting money on cigarettes. But you know what the worst part is? Second-hand smoke. That's when non-smokers breathe in the smoke from other people's cigarettes. It's like they're smoking without even trying!Second-hand smoke can cause all sorts of health problems, like asthma, bronchitis, and even lung cancer. It's not fair that people who don't smoke have to deal with the consequences of other people's bad habits.I know that some people start smoking when they're teenagers because they think it makes them look cool or grown-up. But let me tell you, there's nothing cool about smelling bad, having yellow teeth, and risking your health. Trust me, you'll look way cooler if you stay away from cigarettes and take care of your body instead. If you're already smoking, I really hope you'll try to quit. It's not easy, I know, but it's so important for your health. Talk to a doctor or a counselor, and they can help you come up with a plan to stop smoking for good. And if you've never smoked before, please promise me that you'll never start. It's just not worth it.In conclusion, smoking is gross, expensive, and really, really bad for your health. It can cause all sorts of diseases, like lung cancer, and it can even hurt the people around you who don't smoke. Plus, it's just not cool at all. So please, do yourself a favor and stay away from cigarettes. Your body (and your wallet) will thank you for it!篇4Student Smoking – My Views and IdeasHi there! My name is Tommy and I'm in 5th grade. Today I want to talk about something that really bothers me – kids smoking cigarettes. I see older students doing it behind the school building sometimes and it makes me really sad and angry. Smoking is super unhealthy and can make you really sick. I don't understand why any kid would want to do that to themselves!I know smoking is addictive because of the nicotine in cigarettes. Nicotine makes you want to keep smoking over and over again. But smoking causes so many health problems like lung cancer, heart disease, and other scary illnesses. It turns your teeth yellow, makes your clothes and breath smell gross, and wastes a lot of money too. There's absolutely nothing good about it.And it's not just the kids who smoke that get hurt by it. Second-hand smoke from being around people smoking is also really unhealthy, especially for little kids. When I see the older students smoking, the smoke blows over to the playground area where we younger kids play. That means we have to breathe in that horrible, toxic smoke even though we aren't the onessmoking! It's just not fair. Getting cancer and lung problems from second-hand smoke is a big worry for me and my friends.I try to stay far away from the areas where the older kids smoke, but sometimes the wind blows the smoke everywhere and you can't escape it. Once I walked by a group smoking and instantly started coughing because the smoke was so thick. My eyes were watering and it felt like the smoke was burning my lungs as I breathed. It was so scary! I had to run away wheezing and had an asthma attack later that day. I missed recess because I couldn't stop coughing. Smoking is no joke – it can seriously hurt people who don't even smoke themselves. So what can we do about the kids at our school who keep smoking? Well, I think we need more education about how terrible smoking is, starting at a young age. We learned a tiny bit about it in health class, but not enough. We need to really drill it into kids' minds that there's no good reason to ever start smoking. Showing us disgusting pictures of what smoking does to lungs and teeth might help shock us into never wanting to try it.We also need way bigger consequences for smoking on school grounds. Right now, older students who get caught just have to pick up litter or help the janitors as punishment. That'snot enough! Those consequences don't seem to stop them from continuing to smoke here where we little kids can get exposed to the smoke. I think students who get caught smoking at school should have to do a ton of volunteer work, get suspended for a while, or face other serious penalties. Maybe that would finally make them stop. And we need better enforcement too. I know the teachers can't be everywhere watching for smokers. But maybe we could have security cameras installed in the areas where smoking happens a lot. Or we could have parent volunteers do regular smoking patrols to try and catch violators. Teachers could schedule more recess time monitors as well to shoo smokers away from the playground areas. We gotta get serious about kicking this problem!Another idea is to start a anti-smoking club or group at school. We could make posters, hand out pamphlets, do presentations, and spread awareness about the dangers of smoking. We could organize anti-smoking rallies, events, and declare certain days to be Smoke-Free where we all wearanti-smoking shirts or something. Peer pressure is a powerful thing – maybe if more student groups take a strong stand against smoking, it'll become totally uncool and unsexy tosmoke. Kids who smoke might kick the habit so they can fit in better. We could also invite firefighters, doctors, nurses, and other health professionals to come talk to the whole school about how smoking destroys your health. Maybe hearing the scary facts from experts would convince some student smokers to quit while they're young and it's (hopefully) not too late. Those professionals could also teach students about strategies and resources for quitting smoking successfully.Ultimately though, I think it has to be a personal choice to never start smoking in the first place. Peer pressure to fit in is what makes some kids try smoking. But we need to stop giving into dumb pressures like that! We're just kids – we shouldn't be risking our health doing something as gross and deadly as smoking.I really hope my school, my community, my friends, and people everywhere can come together to stomp out student smoking for good. The health risks are just too serious to ignore, and kids like me shouldn't have to breathe in toxic smoke just by going to school. Every student deserves a smoke-free learning environment where we can breathe clean air. It's our health and our futures at stake here. Let's work together to raise ageneration of non-smokers who truly understand how terrible smoking is! Who's with me?篇5Smoking is Really Gross and Super Bad for You!Hi there! My name is Tommy and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I want to talk to you about something that's been bothering me a lot lately - kids smoking cigarettes. It's really gross and super unhealthy!I first noticed some of the older kids smoking behind the gym a few months ago. I couldn't believe my eyes! They were puffing away on those stinky cancer-sticks like it was no big deal. But it is a huge deal! Didn't they learn anything in health class?Smoking cigarettes is one of the most dangerous things you can do. My mom is a nurse and she's told me all about the horrible effects smoking has on your body. It turns your lungs black and makes it really hard to breathe. You're a lot more likely to get lung cancer and heart disease too. Yuck! Not only that, but smoking makes your clothes, hair, and breath smell absolutely terrible. No one wants to be around someone who reeks of stale smoke. It's disgusting! My friendJake's dad is a smoker and I can't stand being in their house or car because the smell is so overpowering. I feel bad for Jake having to live like that.I really don't understand why any kid would want to start smoking. It's so unhealthy, smelly, and expensive too! The money you waste on cigarettes could be spent on way cooler stuff like video games, sports equipment, or going to the movies with friends. Plus, if you get caught smoking on school grounds, you'll get suspended. That's just not worth it in my opinion.I think a big part of the problem is that cigarette companies make smoking look really cool in their ads with wrestling superstars and muscly athletes promoting their products. But we all know those people don't actually use those yucky things, right? The companies are just lying to get kids interested so they'll become addicted customers. It's a trap!Well, let me be clear - there is absolutely nothing cool or tough about smoking. It's an absolutely disgusting andself-destructive habit that will take years off your life if you don't quit. You'll have less energy, worse skin, rotten teeth and bad breath. Why would anyone want that for themselves? I certainly don't!So here's my advice to anyone thinking about taking up smoking: Don't do it! It's just not worth throwing away your health and good looks for such an unhealthy and expensive addiction. There are so many better things you could be doing with your life.If you've already started smoking and want to quit, that's awesome! Definitely talk to a trusted adult like your parents, doctor, or teacher about strategies and programs to help you kick the habit for good. It'll be really hard, but getting off those cancer sticks now before you get even more addicted is so important. You'll feel so much better and healthier once you're smoke-free. Just think about how much more energy you'll have for sports, or how your teeth will look brighter and your breath will be fresher. For those of you who don't smoke, amazing! Just say no to cigarettes and yes to a healthy, smoke-free life! Your lungs and everyone around you will thank you.Kids, let's be role models for making good choices and let our school be a smoking-free zone. Spread the word thatsmoking is revolting, not cool. With a bit of willpower and encouraging each other, we can create a cleaner environment and ensure no one gets addicted to this awful habit. Who's with me?!篇6Smoking is Super Gross and Bad For You!Hi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about something that is really yucky and dangerous - smoking cigarettes!I know some older kids, like the big mean bullies in middle school, think smoking makes them look cool and grown up. But let me tell you, there is nothing cool about smelling like a nasty ashtray! Cigarette smoke stinks so bad. Whenever I walk past someone smoking, I have to hold my nose because the smell makes me want to barf. Yuck! Not only does smoking make you smell terrible, but it also turns your teeth all yellow and gross. Have you ever seen an adult smoker's teeth up close? They look really nasty and rotten.I definitely don't want my pretty white teeth to look like that! But you know what's even worse than the bad smell and ugly teeth? Smoking can make you seriously sick! My mom is a nurse and she told me that smoking causes all kinds of diseases like lung cancer, heart attacks, and breathing problems. It's so sad when I see people in the hospital who are really sick because they smoke. I definitely don't want to end up like that.I really don't understand why anyone would want to start smoking in the first place. It's expensive, it makes you smelly, it turns your teeth gross, and it can make you deathly ill. What's the point?? I think people only start smoking because they get tricked by the tobacco companies into thinking it will make them look cool. But we're too smart to fall for that, right?Instead of wasting money on cancer sticks, kids should spend that cash on something way more fun - like video games, candy, or cool toys! Whenever I get an allowance, you better believe I'm saving up for the newest gaming system or that awesome Lego set I've been wanting. There's no way I'm blowing my money on something as disgusting as cigarettes. So in summary, smoking is just plain nasty. It stinks, it makes you look ugly, it can kill you, and it's a huge waste of money that could be better spent on awesome stuff. I really hope none of myfriends ever take up this totally gross habit. Just say no to smoking, guys!I know some kids might feel pressure from older siblings, parents, or friends who smoke to try it themselves. But you have to be strong and resist that peer pressure! Don't let anyone trick you into doing something that could ruin your health and your looks. Smoking is definitely not worth it, no matter what anyone says.If you're already a smoker, even a kid smoker, it's never too late to quit! I know quitting is really hard, but it will be so worth it when your breath doesn't stink anymore and your chance of getting sick goes way down. There are even special programs and medicines that can help you quit smoking. You can do it!For those of you who have never smoked before, please keep it that way! Make a promise to yourselves and your loved ones that you will never start this disgusting, dangerous addiction. Pinky swear with me right now that you'll stay smoke-free!Smoking is just about the most foolish, pointless thing a person can do. There's nothing cool, fun or good about it at all. So next time you see someone puffing away, don't be impressed - feel sorry for them! They're slowly killing themselves andpolluting the air we all breathe with their nasty smoke. No thanks!I hope I've convinced you all that smoking is absolutely something to avoid at all costs. We kids need to be role models and show those silly celebrities and grown-ups how it's done. A smoke-free life is a long, healthy, happy life - and that's what we all deserve! Let's work together to make the world a cleaner, greener, smoke-free place. The future is ours, smokeless and bright!。

Many office authorities impose a restriction on smoking within the office premises. Some governments have even banned smoking in all public places. This is a good idea but it takes away some of our freedom. What are your opinions on this?Use your own knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence. You should write at least 250 words.Model Answer 1:(Agreement: Smoking should be banned in office premises and public places)There is no scope of argument that cigarette smoking is harmful both for the smoker andpeople around him/her. Cigarette smoking has two major effects on non-smokers-injurious passive smoking and smoking display that has an invitational or persuasive effect on non-smokers. I believe banning smoking in public places and offices not only will discourage smoking but will also keep the smoking practice out of site, though it might apparently look like transgress into smoker’s freedom. But I believe any harmful activity of a particular person or group of people can not be a definition of freedom. If smoking right in any place is a definition of freedom then why not other drugs? In m opinion, every public place including officemust be smoking free. There are several reasons that government and private authorities are being strict on smoking in offices and even public places.Firstly, this is an accepted fact that smoking is injurious and deadly to health in several ways. Secondly, smoking causes health hazards to non-smokers who inhale smoke passively from the smokers. Thirdly, smoking has a strong psychologically influence on others, particularly on children and young who learns from their elderly. Fourthly, in many countries, the cost of health care and insurance has gone up due tosmoking related illnesses. So health authorities and governments are trying to have been seen that due to the restrictions, the habit of smoking is on a decline among office goers. Though non-smokers think that restricting smoking in offices and public places is a good idea, smokers often view it as an intervention into their right. Smokers argue that cigarette smoking has a direct relation to their workplace performance, though passive smoking can cause objections from colleagues. But considering the harm of smoking it should be banned. Though pressure groups such as tobacco companies may discourage restrictions on smoking, since theadvantages of ban outweigh the disadvantages, mass public support such bans. Moreover, offices have the right to regulate staff behaviour and activities and governments too can ban smoking in public places for a greater societal benefit. In conclusion, restricting smoking in workplaces and in public is a good idea. I can also understand the opinion of smokers that banning smoking in such places limits their work speed but I believe with little practice and determination they can overcome it. So I strongly support theidea of prohibiting smoking in any public place including the office premises.Model Answer 3:Use of tobacco products has become popular after the industrial revolution. Cigarettes are so cheaply available that people do not bother to think about it before lighting one in every minute. Society is engaged in very long debate, whether smoking should be banned completely in public places or not. Some argue that it would encroachment to one's freedom, while others support this idea. I think smokers should beallowed to smoke only in designated areas away from the public.According to world health organisation, smoking is biggest cause of oral and lung cancer. Even second-hand smokers, people who inhale smoke releases by smokers, are equally prone to the disease. Therefore, looking at this risk, smokers and non-smokers should be segregated. In countries like the United States of America, designated smoking areas are built and smoking in public places is banned and fines are imposed if anyone is found using cigarettes in public place. While it may be easyto argue that banning smoking is intruding to one's freedom. But forcing one's smoke to other non-smokers is even a bigger crime. Advocates, who fight for the ban of smoking, ask that why should an innocent bystander suffer from the smoke released by smokers? Therefore, it can easily be concluded that banning smoking is public place is not attached to freedom; it is rather imposing the right of freedom. With above points, in conclusion, it can be concluded that with alternative options for smoking location made available, smoking canbe banned at all public location without creating any controversy.。

But I think most of them just feel curious about it.Then, I will say something bad or good about smoking. As you known, it is bad for our body, just like our lung and our respiratory passage. When you smoke more and more, the function of your lung and your respiratory passage will not work effectively as usual. On the contrary, some people are to raise that some advantages also exist when they smoked. For example, smoking will adjust their mood when they are unhappy. When they are smoking, inspiration will come up in their mind suddenly. Also, when they are embarrassed in some occasion, smoking will make them feel relaxed more or less.Last but not least, even though there are some advantages, we shall call for giving up smoking. Some governments have banned smoking in all public places. This is a good idea though it takes away some of our freedom. As we know, smoking is harmful not only to our health but also to the environment. Smoking can lead to many diseases, such as lung cancer. Smokingaffects non-smokers more than it does smokers. Ratio of passive smokersgetting ill is higher than that of smokers. So, many nonsmokers are against smoking. In public places, the harm of smoking is greater. This is connected with another effect of smoking. That is, smoking pollutes environment by giving much poisonous vapour off into the air. Therefore, that the government ban smoking is very necessary and important to us. It is a measure to protect our health and environment. So many people, especially nonsmokers are Ior tile policy. Some people say that it takes away some of our freedom. I think it is a one-sided view. If one wants to smoke, he may smoke in private, not in the public places. In fact, smokers still have the freedom of smoking. But, I think, smokers had better give up smoking, not only in private places, but also in the public places, everywhere. It will be beneficial toall of us.有关吸烟的英语作文篇3:THE HARM OF SMOKINGIf you take notice in some places, you’ll see the fact that most smokers are young people and even some are middle school students. It is said that in China the number of the people smoking is about 0.3billion.Why do so many people smoke? Some think that smoking is pleasure, some believe that they can refresh themselves by smoking. In fact, smoking is a bad habit, which has great harm to people’ health. The study of smoking showsthat many kinds of illnesses have something to do with smoking. Smoking itself is a waster. It costs one so much money, Besides, many fires are caused by careless smokers. Today more and more people all over the world want to give up smoking. If you’re mot a smoker, don’t start.有关吸烟的英语作文篇4:teenage smokingFortunately, teenager smoking has been on the decline for the past fifteen years. Tobacco companies have always known this and have marketed their products accordingly. However, parents can still positively influence their children not tostart smoking, and to influence their smoking teenager in butting out.The best way is to be a good role model yourself, by not smoking. If you do smoke, then stop. Now. Explain to your children why you are quitting and the reasons why you hope they do not get hooked on the habit.Amanda Gordon went from an honor roll student to a drug-using teenager herself. Hu Bei, Jing Zhou is my hometown, a famous city in the Three Kingdoms, and it is rich in rice and fish. I graduated from XXX University, and now, I am studying in XXX University. In my spare time, I often play computer games, surf on line, or travel with friends and sometimes I like being alone and doing nothing. My topic is Smoking, do you smoke Yes or no It has been estimated that smokers have made up half of the population. And the smokers are being younger and younger, even including some middle school students, both boys and girls. Nowadays, more and more people have realized that smoking can do harm to their health. However, some people still enjoy smoking. Why Some of them think it is very cool that they can smoke like a famous handsome actor; some people think that they will be looked more mature when smoking. The brain workers think that smoking can bring them inspiration and the sad people may relieve themselves by smoking. Is the smoking really so effectively If smoking was as good as what they say, our life would be easier just though smoking. In fact, smoking is a bad habit and it can cause a lot of diseases, such as tracheitis(气管炎), lung cancer and many other diseases. Recent years, there are tens of thousands of people dying of smoking. Meanwhile, smoking is a waste of money. Besides, careless smokers may cause dangerous fires. Smoking is bad for not only the smokers themselves, but also non-smokers. Second hand smoking has been recognized harmful to other people. Even worse, it may cause more damages for children and pregnant women. If you are a smoker, here are some tips can help you to reduce the harm from smoking: First, you can use a filter which can prevent most of the poisonous substance breathing into your lung, such as nicotine and tar(焦油). Second, drink a cup of tea when you are smoking, because tea is able to detoxify. Third, you can smoke the electronic cigarette rather than cigarette. Though the electronic cigarette is not completely safety, it is less harmful for health compared with cigarette. I think the most effective way to reduce the harm is that smoke as less as you can. The less you smoke, the more health you will get, and then you will live longer. At last, considering the health of yourself and other people who you care and you care, please do not smoke!篇二:英语演讲-吸烟有害健康你们这里有多少人吸烟的?今天我的演讲主题就是吸烟有害健康。

According to the statistic in the past 5 years, the rate of people smoking increased obviously. It rose from 35% in 2005 to 63.5% in 2010.When asked about smoking is good or bad? Many people argue that it’s good, but other people consider it’s bad.Smoking is goodMany of people think that smoking is a smart symbol or it is a kind of fashion. Smoking can change their image and temperament to be cool, melancholy. Young people feel that smoking cool. Naive people think that smoking can mature. Mature person is a addiction of smoking. Some people that smoke when the kinds of hobbies, like make-up loving the same woman. M ore and more people smoke and if they don’t smoke, they will be out.Smoking is a kind of spiritual sustenance. When smokers feel experience depression, severe headache, lonely, they will light up and take a puff at his cigarette, they feel better with smoke exhaled. Where the boys did not vent has encountered not only a silent smoke, not for anything else, just for a moment of relief. A smoker said :” In fact, I smoke not to break up the monotony, chic pull, and now this too much pressure on our society, has become a product of spiritual consolation, for example, they are drug addicts looking for a single extreme hallucinations and mental relax, forget everything else.”Tobacco also is considered a food, a drug. Smoking sometimes can lose a lot of weight, so smokers turn to food as a substitute. And smoking can refresh smokers. It can give them energy just like cordial.Every coin has its two sides. People may be right about smoking is good, but they seem to neglect the fact that the bad aspects are also apparent.Smoking is badFirstly, smoking is harmful to health, even it is threaten to life. Medical science has now proved that smoking can cause lung cancer and other diseases such as emphysema. The chances of having a heart attack also increase the more you smoke. Smoking is definitely a health hazard.” Facts: Fewer than 10% of lung cancer patients survive five years after diagnosis. Smokers who smoke between 1 and 14 cigarettes a day have eight times the risk of dying from lung cancer compared to non-smokers. It is estimated that several hundred cases of lung cancer and several thousand cases of heart disease in non-smokers in the UK every year are caused by passive smoking. Tobacco use kills around 120,000 people in the UK every year, about 330 every day - as if a plane crashed every day and killed all its passengers, around 20% of all deaths. Smoking causes at least 80% of all deaths from lung cancer, around 80% of all deaths from bronchitis and emphysema and around 17% of all deaths from heart disease. About half of all regular cigarette smokers will eventually be killed by their habit”(Unknown, n.d.).Secondly, smoking will impact our mind. “Many people around us have developed the habit of smo king and some of them are even addicted to it. It’s a report in the newspaper: a certain student in a middle school smoked and he wouldn't get rid of the bad habit though his teacher and friends warned him not to smoke any more. He even stole money to get cigarettes and was pat into prison in the end. This really gave people a shock.” As everyone knows, smoking is very harmful to our health. It does great harm not only to our health, but also to our mind, especially for teenagers. Teenagers smoke because their adolescent years are filled with psychological problems. One of these problems, for example, is establishing a sense of identity. The teen years are the time when young people want to be more independent from their parents and form their own values. The enormous mental pressures of these years can make some people turn to smoking.Thirdly, smoking, which may be a pleasure for some people, but is a series of discomforts for their friends and families. Medical scientists haveexpressed their concern about the effect of smoking on the health not only of those who are smoking but also of those who live in the air polluted by Secondhand smoke. “Secondhand smoke, also known as environmental tobacco smoke, consists of a mixture of gases and particles including smoke from burning cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, and exhaled mainstream smoke”(Unknown, 2009). Studies show that non-smokers suffer more than the smokers themselves. Smoking causes many harmful diseases like lung cancer, heart attacks, high blood pressure, etc. “This passive smoking is more dangerous when compared to direct smoking. Every year many people who are dying due to diseases caused by smoking habit. It includes men and women. “ (Unknown, n.d.). Smoker’s mood is alway s variable and others unhappy. Some people will sink a large sum of money into smoking so that their life will get more complex and difficult.ConclusionAs we all know, smoking is harmful to one's health. “It contributes to lung cancer, from which many people have died in the past years. It can also cause many other diseases. In a word, if you smoke, you do have a much greater chance of losing your health. Furthermore, scientific research shows that smoking is not only harmful to smokers themselves, but also a threat to public health, e specially to women and children” (Unknown, n.d.).More and more people have come to realize how serious this problem is. But they are never bored with it. Many people have passed away for having smoked a lot so we call on people to give up smoking. Doct ors think it’s more important to call on the smoker to use good judgment and to show concern for others. In order to have a happy life, it is a good suggestion for you to be away from the cigarette and cherish your health.Reference1.Institute of Medicine.Secondhand Smoke Exposure andCardiovascular Effects: Making Sense of the Evidence.
