假如你是李华关于亲近大自然的英语作文My Love for Nature
By Li Hua
Hi there! My name is Li Hua and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about how much I love nature and being outdoors. It makes me so happy to spend time in parks, gardens, forests and anywhere with trees, flowers, birds and other beautiful natural things.
I think my love for nature started when I was a very little kid. My grandparents live in a small village far away from the city. Whenever we would visit them in the summers, I would spend hours and hours just running around outside, playing in the fields and little streams near their house. The fresh air, the sounds of the birds and insects, the bright colors of the wildflowers - it all felt so magical and exciting to me.
At my grandparents' house, I learned all about taking care of plants and animals too. My grandma had a big vegetable garden and she would let me help her water the crops and pull weeds. She taught me the names of all the different vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and more. My grandpa raised chickens and ducks, and I loved feeding them scraps and
collecting the eggs they laid. Being around these ordinary farm animals and activities made me appreciate how connected humans can be to the natural world.
When I was back home in the city, I always missed the freedom of being able to run and play outside all day in nature. The buildings, cars and concrete made me feel kind of trapped. Thankfully, my parents started taking my brother and me to parks and hiking trails on the weekends so we could get some outdoor time. We would pack snacks and water bottles and spend the whole day climbing on rocks, splashing in creeks, and looking for cool bugs and critters. Sometimes we would even camp overnight! Sleeping outside under the stars is one of my very favorite things.
At school, I really enjoyed our unit on environmental science and learning about all the different plants, animals and ecosystems on planet Earth. Did you know that there are over 300,000 different species of plants? And way more types of animals than that - maybe over 10 million! Insects alone make up over half of all known living organisms. The diversity and complexity of life on our planet is just mind-blowing to me.
I was really sad to learn how much damage humans have done to the environment through pollution, deforestation,
overfishing and more. It makes me scared to think about what the world might look like when I'm a grownup if we don't make some serious changes. That's why I try my best to protect nature in little ways, like recycling everything I can, turning off lights when I leave a room, and refusing to litter. I'm also a member of the environmental club at school, and we've done activities like cleaning up local parks and fundraising to support wildlife conservation groups.
In my opinion, human life wouldn't be possible at all without the natural resources and ecosystems of our Earth. We depend on clean air, fresh water, fertile soil and all the plants and animals around us for our survival. People can invent amazing technologies, but we'll never be able to artificially recreate things as perfectly genius as a mighty oak tree, a bustling coral reef or the millions of species of insects that pollinate our crops. That's why I think it's so crucial that we learn to live in harmony with nature, rather than destroying it.
My biggest dream is to explore as much of the great outdoors as I possibly can when I grow up. I want to go on epic hiking and camping trips through national parks and forests all over the world. I'd love to see strange and amazing creatures in their natural habitats, like trekking through the Amazon
rainforest or snorkeling along the Great Barrier Reef. Maybe I could even work as a wildlife photographer, park ranger or environmental scientist when I'm older!
For now though, I'm just happy wandering in the woods and parks near my hometown, climbing trees, catching frogs and butterflies, and watching squirrels and birds build their nests. No matter where I am, anytime I'm surrounded by nature I feel completely peaceful, joyful and free. The natural world is what makes our planet so vibrant and beautiful. I hope humans can learn to appreciate it more and protect it better for a very, very long time.
Well, that's all I wanted to say about my love for the outdoors! Thanks for reading my essay. I'll leave you with one of my favorite nature quotes from the wise environmentalist John Muir: "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." So true! Now go outside and take a walk - you never know what cool plants, animals or adventures you might discover!。
