(1)They work hard,don’t they? Yes, they do.

A Bank Robbery
A Bank RobberyTyler 20110100019YoungJacket, sub-manager of the local bank, was wandering alone the street. It was a cold, silent winter midnight. Shops and restaurants which were as busy as bees in daytime right now all shut their doors. It seemed that there were only four things left in the world at this moment, the pale yellow light emitted from the street lamp, snows covering the ground, dog barks from a long distance and young jacket. However young jacket didn’t pay any attention on these things. His mind was on his wife, Larry, who had suffered from car accident2 months ago and now was lying on the bed of a hospital waiting for more money to cure. Young jackethadsold all the things he had and tried his best to borrow money from all the men and banks he knew. But the real world is harsh. A big amount of money was still needed. He must face a difficult choice whether getting enough money in a short time or giving up his wife. He could still remember the happy dayswhich he spent with Larry. The delicious mealsshe cooked, her sweet smiles that could catch every man’heart, all of these wonderful things sprung to his mind suddenly. To jacket, it would be the most torturous thing to see his wifedie without any help. “I have only one way to go.”Jacket told to himself. Then he went to see the bank, his work place, again. These days he had kept observing the bank for many times. The next day he went to work as usual. Everything seemed to be the same, kidding with his workmates, checking with his clients. But if there was a man who paid a little more attention to him would found that today he brought a new bigger suitcase instead of the small one he used to carry. At5:00pm, the bank was close, the clerks and the guards were all gone home. However, at the moment Jacket was in the toilet, and the guards didn’t notice him of course. When the noises coming from the street were replaced by silence and everything turned dark, jacket came out from the toilet. He first cut off the lines of the alarmsand monitors smoothly with tools taking from his new suitcase. He was too familiar with the equipment since he had been work here for 8years and had been specially studying the security system for another 30days. . Using a special key and some other tools, he then easily opened the doors of the safes. The security system of the bank was a little lagging, which allowed Jacket to catch bundles of money into his jute bag. Several minutes later, Jacket came from the bank with a heavy bag filled with money. After he slipped away from the spot for a while, the alarms began to rung. The police arrived at the bank right first time only to find nothing. The next day morning, the sun rises as usual. But it was a really special day to the town which was covered by newspapers and TVs reporting the strange bank robbery. The clerks of the bank were busy in discussing the case, of course, including Jacket. The sheriff could only promise his citizen to catch the thieves as soon as possible although no clues had been found yet. But the most unlucky man was the manager of the bank. He seemed to be the only person to blame and was removed from his position. And as a sub-manager, Jacket was appointed as the new manager accordingly. The clerks all congratulate the young lucky manager. However,Jacketwas guilty and felt sorry for the old man. This result was far from his expectation. At last, Jacket’s wife was saved, and they truly had a happy life again. However the old manager was not as lucky as him. After his remove, he was tormented by poor and insult till death. The story didn’t end. At the last days of Jacket’s life, he could not forget the crime he had made to the old man. His guilty deepen as time went by. Finally he delivered himself up to the police. But they denied it since he was too old. So the old man could only spent his left days with guilty.。

The moon is so far from the earth that even if huge trees were growing on the mountains, and elephants were walking about, we could not see them through the most powerful telescopes which have ever been invented. The moon is far from the earth,其他部分,如状语从句、定语从句等,都是为突出主题服务的。
