探索篇•课题荟萃巧用思维导图提升语用能力———以译林新版英语四上Unit8Dolls(Story time)为例刘梦姣(江苏省常州市新闸中心小学)作为一种思维工具,思维导图有助于学习者将隐性知识显性化,将言语信息图像化,有助于将大量的信息分解成易于理解和记忆的“组块”,帮助学习者系统地、有条理地思考学习材料,并以图形的方式记录思维过程,从而达到了记得牢、易提取的效果,提高了学习者学习英语的持久动力及自主学习的能力。

译林新版英语四上Unit8Dolls(Story time)的重点是学习五官类单词和描述外貌的形容词。

内容虽贴近学生生活,但要扎实掌握并不容易。

本案例中教师用“思维导图”建构文本,用线条、图片、关键词构成的“思维导图”教学人物的面部器官、特点及描述人物面部器官的句型His/Her...is/are...富有童趣,符合四年级学生的年龄特点,有效地促进了语言知识的内在化,使目标语表达成为自动化,有助于学生思维品质的培养,从真正的“教”课堂走向“学”课堂。

一、巧用导图—提取要点—清晰化呈现笔者执教的四年级Unit8Dolls(Story time)部分呈现了两个玩具娃娃,其中一个女娃娃,一个男娃娃,教学中,我先让学生观察并引导他们看图描述女娃娃五官的特点,并以图、关键词的形式(思维导图)呈现。

接着,让学生自己说说对女娃娃的整体印象,并让学生看着思维导图向大家介绍女娃娃的外貌。

通过学习两个娃娃的外貌特点,学会用His/Her...is...,His/Her...are...描述周围的人。

在教学中,我依次呈现了有图、关键词、关键句的板书,把文本转化成了学生感兴趣的结构图,清晰地呈现了教材内容。

思维导图和关键词提示引导学生概括语篇内容,降低了学习难度,提高了课堂学习的效率,培养了学生的语言交际能力。

在小学英语语篇教学中,采用思维导图开展教学有利于克服传统教学中常见的线性思维模式,拓宽了学生的思维空间。

文|蒋雨薇一、单元内容分析本单元是译林版《英语》四(上)Unit8Dolls,主题是介绍人物的外貌及特征。

就文本呈现方式而言,Story time是简单对话,描述了娃娃的外貌特征,Fun time是连续性文本,绘制并描述雪人的特征,Cartoontime中的文本以对话的形式展开,谈论机器人的外貌和能力特征;就文本价值而言,根据本单元每个板块的安排,引导学生向同伴描述人或物的外貌特征以及其他方面的特征,并逐渐学会赞美朋友的优点、发现他人的能力,最终学会欣赏自己和他人的优点、接纳不足。

二、单元学情分析新课标指出,推动实施单元整体教学。

教师要强化素养立意,围绕单元主题,充分挖掘育人价值,确立单元育人目标和教学主线;深入解读和分析单元内各语篇及相关教学资源,并结合学生的认知逻辑和生活经验,对单元内容进行必要的整合或重组,建立单元内各语篇内容之间及语篇育人功能之间的联系,形成具有整合性、关联性、发展性的单元育人蓝图。

要推动单元整体教学,首先要做的就是单元学情分析,依循学科核心素养,本文将从语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力这四个方面进行分析。

1.语言能力即学生运用语言知识和技能来解决问题的能力。

学生在三(上)第六单元已经基本能够用颜色描述对象;在四(上)第一单元已经基本能够用cute,fat,big, little这样的词汇描述动物的整体特征,在第三单元已经能够使用“It looks...”这样的句型对玩具外貌进行多元表达;在第四单元已经能够使用“...can/ can’t...”表达一个人或物是否具备某种能力,学生已经基本掌握了对单复数名词的表述。

学生对于如何有序描写人或物的特征、如何完整描述人或物的特征以及如何使语言表达更加多元尚待提高。

2.文化意识学生在教师的引导下能够养成良好的倾听习惯,在倾听中逐步建构和优化自己对人或物特征的描述,并发现娃娃或他人的能力;但对于学会欣赏并赞美他们的优点、正确接纳他人的不足这项能力,还需逐渐培养。
