作为国际贸易的重要沟通手段, 外贸英语函电在对外贸易中的地位越来越重要。
外贸英语函电指在国际贸易交往中应用的信函、传真和电子邮件,是国际贸易买卖双方用于联系业务、沟通商情、咨询答复的主要途径和通讯手段。
它反映了买卖双方所处的不同的文化、社会背景, 代表了双方各自的利益。
外贸英语函电的撰写看似简单, 实则不易。
它不同于私人信函, 具有更为正式的格式特点和要求, 且有英式和美式的差别。
外贸英语函电的质量好坏直接影响到收信人对写信人的第一印象, 甚至影响到生意是否成功。
伴随着竞争激烈的涉外商务活动,外贸函电也日渐呈现出新的写作特点。
首先,它具有明显的法律特征。
在全民经济时代,法律法规是管理人们贸易行为的重要工具。
尤其在步入国贸易全球化,透明化的今天,健全的法规便成为人们在经济行为过程中自我保护的基本工具。
作为外贸经济活动中不可缺少的工具,外贸函电可以及时有效的记录双方在贸易中的行为,并且具有明显的法律特征及突出的法律效力。
如果在贸易过程中出现纠纷,理赔等现象,商务信函便可成为彼此联系的重要证据。
因此,信函的内容是必须遵从中国的相关法律法规,并且必须符合贸易合作方国家的相关经贸制度。
在函电术语方面,合作双方都要遵循统一的国际法律法规和惯例,即其内容与形式必须获得国际的认可。
其次,外贸函电受文化因素影响。
外贸函电核心目的是与国际贸易合作方进行有效的业务交流与沟通,因此身处跨国文化背景的环境中,能够实现无碍沟通,并产生某种经济共鸣,达成合作共识,便可视为一封成功的商务信函。
由于不同国家的政治,经济环境及传统习俗的差异,各类人群的经济观,消费观,商业经营习惯,甚至风俗习惯有很大的不同,如果不充分考虑对方文化因素,就有可能困难于了解对方真实态度与合作愿望。
所以,外贸函电不仅仅是专业的外语翻译工作,并且还要求函电撰写人员掌握熟练地交际技巧,尤其是在面对跨国文化贸易时的交际能力。
再次,商务信函越来越要求文体的正规性。
商务信函关系到进出口业务,在撰写的过程中要考虑到不同国家海关,运输,银行,法律更相关专业的惯例,撰写内容格式都要遵行双方要求,因此在文体上要求正式文体或者专业文体,其类型主要有请求函,询问函,联系函,告知函和商洽函等。
随着科技的进步,外贸函电的传递方式也趋于多样化,邮寄,快递,电报等。
最为广泛应用的即电子邮件及互联网上的在线及时沟通。
1.2PBL的理解与实践体会尽管人们对于PBL的定义及对PBL的理解有所不同,意见并未统一,但考察各种各样的定义可以发现,其涵义中的有些方面似乎得到了公认,即:PBL强调把学习设置到复杂的、有意义的问题情境中,通过学习者合作解决真实性的问题,学习隐含于问题背后的科学知识,加深对知识的理解和应用,培养解决问题的技能,形成自主学习的能力[2]。
我们从中可以看出,问题、学生、教师是基于问题的学习的三大基本要素:问题是课程的组织核心,它们往往没有简单、固定、惟一的正确答案,但能激起学生探索、寻求解决方法的欲望,激发学生的思维;学生是致力于解决问题的主体,他们识别问题的症结,寻找解决问题的方法,并努力探求、理解问题的现实意义,构建并重构自己的知识,成为自主的学习者;教师是学生解决问题时的工作伙伴、指导者,他们要努力创造出一种支持开放性探究学习的环境,给与学生适时适量的指导。
这三个要素统一在PBL 的问题情境及进行的过程之中。
对PBL的回顾,不是为了仅仅就其模式与实践中的问题作以介绍。
PBL与其说是一种学习与教学方法,不如说是一种教学策略,是一种具有哲学意义的教学理念与教学价值观,是“知行合一”理念在实践中的具体应用。
随着我们国家的经济与社会的不断发展,教育改革势在必行,素质教育的呼声越来越高。
研究者认为提高素质教育的关键是转变教育思想和教育观念,无论是教育理论还是教育实践领域,都应该从关注“如何教”转到关注“如何学”,传统的以教师为主体的教育理念已经严重束缚了教学质量的提高。
教育者的任务不在于传授了多少知识给学习者,而在于教会学习者如何学。
大教育家陶行知说过:在教学过程中,先生的责任不在教,而在教学生学,教育者的任务是“授人以渔”而非“授人以鱼”。
“因为先生不能一生一世跟着学生,热心的先生固然想将他的所有传给学生,然而世界上新理无穷,先生安能把天地间奥妙为学生一齐传授?从这种意义上讲,如何定义PBL以及其在实践展示的具体模式已经并不重要,重要的是有没有把以学习者为中心的理念引入到教育与教学改革中,赋予学习者更大的个人发展与创新空间。
2 外贸函电的写作原则外贸英语函电的写作原则在要求上各有各的划分,众说纷纭。
但万变不离其宗,总的来说包括以下几类常见的原则划分。
这些原则虽然划分标准不一样,但是其根本原则是一样的。
就是要让对方在读了你的信函时,能准确清楚明白你的意思,并且很乐意与你达成商务协议,使生意成功。
就算不成功,也要给对方留下好的印象,为长期合作打好基础。
以下是几种主要的原则划分:2.1 4C原则1、简洁(concise)。
在贸易界,时间就是效益。
外贸函电应当高度简洁,长话短说,尽量避免重复和罗嗦。
2、清楚(clear)。
外贸书信应意思清楚明了,避免歧义和晦涩,否则会造成误解,给双方带来不必要的麻烦。
3、完整(complete)。
外贸函电应做到意思完整,避免因提供的信息不完整而造成误解,影响交际效果。
4、准确(correct)。
外贸函电牵涉到买卖双方的权利、义务和利害关系,因此必须表达准确,以避免不必要的纠纷。
2.2“7 C ”原则“7 C ”原则是外贸函电写作的基本原则。
