1、Application
ZKX Linear vibration screen is mainly used in coal preparation, ore dressing. And also used for dewatering, medium removing and desliming. This product is widely used for fine power classification like coal, ore, ash etc in mining, power generation, sugar preparing, and salt preparing industry, etc.
2、Working principle and structure
This series of vibrating screen is driven by V-belt, V-belt drives the vibrator shaft to make the vibrator work, which vibrates the screen and make a linear movement of screen box.
This series of vibrating screen is made up of screen box, vibrator (there are two types: single vibrator and double vibrator), spring damping device, bearing frame, motor drive devices, etc. As shown in Fig.1. Its screen box adopts advanced ring groove river connection and forms a frame structure. It adopts box-type eccentric block vibrator. The damping device is a steel spiral spring.

4、Installation and commissioning
4.1、Please check if all the components and parts are complete and make sure no damage before making the installation. Six months from the EXW date, the vibrator must be re-cleaned and installed, and replace the new lubricating oil.
4.2、According to the installation drawing, the supporting frame must be installed on the base level, the foundation should have enough stiffness and strength to carry the full dynamic load and static load of the vibration screen.
4.3、Lifting lugs are installed on the four corners of the screen, and four lifting holes
in the supporting frame. As shown in Fig. 1, don’t hang up the whole set of screen directly by hung the vibrator.
4.4、Make sure to keep the smallest the smallest gap between screen box and hopper, chute etc. fixed components with 75mm, and the drop between spout and screen less than 500mm, in order to ensure the lowest impact between materials and screen.
4.5、According to Fig.2, ensure that the clearance of 10 mm between the spring seat and the friction damping plate.

4.6、The damping spring is divided into groups by its free height. And try to make the four groups of springs with the same height. The free height between front spring and back spring should be less than 5mm. After finishing installation of the screen box, the screen desk must be horizontal as far as possible. Or else, we should install an iron plate between the spring base and supporting frame to adjust it.
4.7、The damping spring must be in a vertical state. The upper and lower support of the spring on the screen box must keep horizontal, and fully connected with both sides of the springs.
4.8、Please make reference to Fig.3 for the motor installation work. The motor must be fixed with 35°to the centerline of drive shaft. Make sure the foundation bolt of motor is firmly fixed. Spare sufficient adjustment for the V-belt. Two pulley
corresponding grooves should be horizontal alignment.

4.9、After the installation and adjustment, we should arrange an empty loading test no less than 2 hours, until it runs stable, no noise, and its amplitude and trajectory all meet the requirement, the highest temperature of bearing ≤75 ° C.
4.10、Rotate the vibrator by hand (or by other methods) before the running test. If it rotates flexibly and without block, then we can start running.
5、Lubrication
5.1、The vibrator bearing adopts oil lubrication. After first 4o hours running, we need to change the oil. After that, the ordinary running period is about 800 hours.
5.2、The amount of injected oil should depend on the size of vibrator, please make reference to table 2. When unload the oil-check-plug as shown in Fig.7, there should be a continuously oil-drops. If there are a lot of oil-drops, then it means the oil level is too high.
5.3、We recommend you to use Pinnacle EP320 lubricant oil produced by Caltex Oil Company, USA or GB5903-1995 in industrial gear oil. When the temperature is over 5 ℃, we can use No.90 oil, and when the temperature is under 5 ℃, we can choose
No.70 oil.

6、Operation
6.1、Make a inspection on the vibrator oil before operation and ensure a reasonable oil level. And also please check if it is ventilated or not.
6.2、Check all the bolts, and ensures its tightness. Especially for the vibrator fixed bolt, we must firmly install it with a hammer. Check the original work every 8 hours, and after running for one week, check again. Ensure its solidity.
6.3、Check the tension strength of V-belt, avoid slipping during the starting and working and ensures a positive direction of the belt pulley.
6.4、Check the minimum distance between the screen and around stationary objects, make sure it meets the minimum request.
6.5、The screen should be work under free loading. After running smoothly, we can start feeding. Stop feeding before parking and wait till all the materials on the screen are fully discharged.
7、Repair and maintenance
7.1、Before the screen leaves the factory, it is filled with lubricating oil, with performance of corrosion resistance, and the validity period is 3 months. If the storage period exceeds 3 months, we can restart the machine and running for 20 minutes, it will keep the corrosion resistance performance for 3 more months. Change clean lubricating oil when restart working.
7.2、Keep the vibrator vent flow unblocked to avoid heat of the bearings.
7.3、The working temperature of bearings should be under 75°C. New vibrator has a running-in process, so its temperature may be a little bit higher. But after 8 hours’running, the temperature will keep stable. If temperature is too high, we should check the grade, level and purity of the oil.
7.4、When replacing the V-belt, motor anchor should be completely released in order to put it into the belt groove easily. It is not allowed to use sticks or other objects to prize pry the V-belt, tension must be suitable, and belt wheel must be in the right alignment. After 48 hours of tension adjustment, we need to readjust it again.
7.5、No damage on the contact surface of vibrator and installation beam. If it is damaged, the vibrator won’t stably install on the beam. The connecting bolt of vibrator and installation beam is not allowed to be replaced by ordinary bolt. We should check the tightness of bolt regularly, at least every half a month. Any looseness of the bolt will lead to the others cutting off and result in damage to the screen.
7.6、The connection part which using ring groove rivet is allowed to be replaced by high intensity bolts. All the contacting surface or holes should be clean and without ash, oil, rust, scrap iron and burr.
7.7、Adopts high strength bolts, nuts and cushions which comply with the GB/T1231 – 1991 《Technical conditions of large steel structure bolt, six angle bolt, nut and cushion》. The torque should in accordance with the provisions of table 3.

7.8、In order avoid innerstress during the welding process, generally it is not allowed to weld the screen box or any auxiliary parts at site, when must be needed, it should be carried out by a skilled operator. Here we recommend the following steps:
7.8.1 In order to prevent crack extension, for each side of the crack, we need to drill a hole with 6mm.
7.8.2 Shove a groove along the two sides of crack by a round shovel.
7.8.3 Preheat around 60°C, using 506 electrical welding rod with diameter of 3mm, ensure through welding and prevent any slag bite.
7.8.4 Smoothing the side weld metal and welding the reinforcement plate.
7.8.5 If we need to weld at the screen base beam, all the welding seam must be parallel, not horizontal welding.
7.8.6 For alternating current welding, screen should be grounded to prevent current through go through bearing. Otherwise, it will result in damage to the bearing.
7.9 The cutting surface will process stress during flame cutting, so we suggest all the additional holes should be drilled.
7.10 Special damping rubber strip is equipment between the mesh grid and screen bracket as shown in Fig.4. In order to expand the screen to its longest service life, we should make the rubber strip at the right place, and change a new one once damage being found.

7.11 When replacing the screen deck, we must keep the equal gap between the side plates and hook, that is to say, we must keep the screen deck under a uniform tension.
7.12 When the mesh size is less than 16mm, we should leave an extension with 20mm at the end, as is shown in Fig.5.(for each screen, there is a screen deck without extension, it is located on the discharging end.)

7.13 As is shown in Fig.6, it is the tensioning plate installation for slit screen. When doing the installation of slit screen, we should guarantee the screen deck be firmly pressed by wooden wedge. If the screen is unused left for a long time, we should readjust the wedge before reusing it. Each screen joint is equipped with a horizontal baffle sealing.

7.14 When repairing the vibrator, we should take it out, open it and finish the flowing work:
7.14.1 Check the bearing hole of the vibrator to see if there is any damage. The damage of bearing hole will cause rotation of the outer ring, which leads to damage to the bearing.
7.14.2 Check the contact surface between vibrator and the installation beam, there should be no damage.
7.14.3 This vibrator bearing is a special bearing with long service life. The four groups should be replaced at the same time.
7.14.4 Check the wear conditions of gear teeth, and also check the cooperation of bearing and shaft.
7.14.5 Check the eccentric block hole, ensure the fastening cooperation between shaft and shaft hole.
7.14.6 Check if there is any block of the ventilation cover, we should clean it once block exist.
7.15 At the vibrator installation site, we should guarantee the clean air, complete clean components, and replace the damaged parts immediately. Remove the burr of new components and check their quality, ensure that strictly compliance with the drawings.

The drive shaft and driven shaft need to be cooled before installation. The cooling temperature should be -23°C±5°C, cooling shrank is 0.025mm, and the cooling time is 8-10 hours. Heating is needed before the gears and eccentric block installation. The temperature should be 175°C±5°C, heat preservation period is 8-10 hours, and thermal expansion ≥0.064mm. Make the installation after finishing all the above work. Put the vibrator box and shaft end parts installation at the last.
7.16 Check the string momentum after finishing assembled vibrator. The string momentum is 1-2mm. If it is not suitable, we can adjust it with different thickness cushions to meet the requirement.
7.17 Check leaking before running test, change the oil after 8 hours running.
8、Spare parts and quick-wear parts
Table 3 is the detail list of spare parts and quick-wear parts. The quantity in the following list is the spare parts for 1-2 screens. When 3-6 screens are needed, the quantity of spare parts should be doubled. When 7-12 sets of screens are needed, the quantity of spare parts should treble.
