✧too much “太多”修饰动词，放在动词之后
She talks too much．她话说得太多了。

✧get enough sleep 得到足够的睡眠sleep n.<不可数> 睡觉，睡眠eg. Do you ever talk in your sleep?
We need at least eight hours of sleep every night.

○1allow Sb to do Sth 允许某人做某事
eg. The doctor allowed him to take a short walk every day.
医生允许他每天进行短距离散步。

○2allow doing Sth 允许做某事
eg. We don’t allow smoking in our house.
在我们家里不允许抽烟。

3 allow Sth 允许某事 eg. The law doesn’t allow such an action. 法律不允许这样的行为。

✧ hang out <hung out>闲逛,溜达 hang out with Sb 和某人一起闲逛

hang up 挂起 挂断电话
hang (hung hung ) 悬挂 把----吊起 吊着 hang (hanged hanged) 吊死，绞死
✧ get into fight with Sb 和某人吵架
等同于have a fight wih sb.
eg. He got into a fight with his parents yesterday. 昨天他和他的父母吵架了。

注：fight v. 打架，吵架 fight with Sb 和某人打架
✧ What’s wrong? 怎么了？/ 哪里不舒服？

=what’s the matter with Sb / Sth? eg. What’s wrong with your computer?

What’s wrong with her? 她怎么了？ 注：wrong adj. 有毛病的，错误的 eg. I think she is a worker, but I’m wrong. There is something wrong with Sb/Sth

eg. There is something wrong with my watch. There is something wrong with him. ✧ midnight n. 午夜、子夜
at midnight 在午夜 all midnight 整个午夜
✧ until 直到 (用于肯定句中，意为到…….为止)
She will wait for me here until tomorrow. 注：not ……until …… 直到……才……
eg. She didn’t go to bed until her daughter came back. 她直到她女儿回来才上床睡觉。

○1以便，为了= in order that （引导目的状语从句,从句中常带有can,will,could, would,should ）
eg. I got up early so that I can catch the early bus
我起床早是为了赶上早班车。

○2so that 以至于；结果，（引导结果状语从句，陈述的是客观事实，常
常不带情态动词）
eg. He studies hard so that he passed the exam.他努力学习，结果通过了考试。

✧find Sb doing Sth 发现某人正在做某事
I found a dog lying on the ground.
find + 宾+ 形发现某……eg. I find English very easy.
find it + 形+ to do Sth eg. I found it interesting to play soccer.
✧look through 翻找，查找，快速查看，浏览
eg. Look through your notes before exam.
考试前把你的笔记仔细看看。

Look through the passage quickly.快速浏览短文。

注：look at 看look for 寻找look over 检查look into 调查look after 照顾look like 看上去像look up 查找；向上看
look out 向外看；小心look the same 看上去一样
look forward to 名/doing 盼望/期待
✧give…… back to Sb 把……归还给某人= return Sth to Sb
Please give my book back to me. 请把我的书还给我。

注：return v. 归还；回来；返回
return=get back /come back 回来；返回return to+地点,回到某地
✧angry adj. 生气的angrily adv. 生气地
be angry with Sb 对某人生气be angry about/at Sth 对某事生气
✧guess v.猜测,估计
eg. guess riddles 猜谜I don’t really know. I’m just guessing.
guess n.猜测，猜想eg. I give you three guesses
✧deal n.协议，交易
big deal 重要的事情make a deal 成交
注：○1It’s a deal /That’s a deal . 就这样定了。

○2It’s not a big deal ! =It’s no big deal .表示说话人并不认为某事有什么
了不起。

eg. It’s no big deal ! I can find another job any time .
没什么大不了的，我随时可以找到另一份工作。

If I don’t win .It’s not a big deal .如果我输了，没什么大不了的。

○3deal with 处理do with 对付处理
✧although =though 虽然尽管（引导让步状语从句）
eg.Although you are tall, I’m afraid of you.
Although we all tried, we lost the game .
注：用although/though, 就不能用but; 用用but, 就不能用although/though ✧Hope things work out! 希望事情会好起来！
Work out 成功地发展，解决问题
eg . Can you work out the math problem ?
✧Surprise
○1vt. surprise sb. 使某人吃惊eg. That news surprised us . 那消息使我们吃惊。

○2n. 吃惊,惊奇to one’s surprise使某人吃惊的是，in surprise 吃惊地
eg . To my surprise , I met Jim in Xinzhou . 使我吃惊的是在新洲遇见吉姆了。

He asked me in surprise, “Why are you late ?”他吃惊地问我，你为什么迟
到？
注: Surprised adj. Sb be surprised （at ……）某人感到吃惊Surprising adj. Sth. be surprising 某事令人吃惊。
