Hi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary. I'm really excited to tell you all about the super cool club I'm a part of - the Hotel Management Club!
In our club, we learn all about what it takes to run a hotel. From checking guests in and out, to keeping the rooms clean and tidy, to making sure everyone has a great time while they're staying with us. It's a lot of work, but it's also a ton of fun!
One of the best parts is that we get to practice our English skills a whole lot. You see, hotels have guests coming from all over the world, so the staff needs to be able to communicate clearly in English. That's where we come in!
Right from the start, our club meetings and activities are all in English. Our club leader, Ms. Jackson, is really good at English and helps us learn new words and phrases related to the hotel
industry. Like how to greet guests properly by saying "Welcome to Oak Valley Hotel! How can I assist you today?" Isn't that fancy?
We also play a lot of fun games that help us practice our English conversational skills. One of my favorites is the "Hotel Roleplay" game where we take turns being the hotel staff and guests.
