AWhen I was growing up in America, I was ashamed of my mother’s Chinese English. Because of her English, she was often treated unfairly. People in department stores, at banks, and at restaurants did not take her seriously, did not give her good service, pretended not to understand her, or even acted as if they did not hear her.My mother has long realized the limitations of her English as well. When I was fifteen, she used to have me call people on the phone to pretend I was she. I was forced to ask for information or even to yell at people who had been rude to her. One time I had to call her stockbroker (股票经纪人). I said in an adolescent voice that was not very convincing, "This is Mrs. Tan. "And my mother was standing beside me, whispering loudly, "Why he don’t send me check, already two weeks late. "And then, in perfe ct English I said, "I’m getting rather concerned. You agreed to send the check two weeks ago, but it hasn’t arrived. "Then she talked more loudly. "What he want? I come to New York tell him front of his boss. " And so I turned to the stockbroker again, "I can’ttolerate any more excuse. If I don’t receive the check immediately, I am going to have to speak to your manager when I am in New York next week. "The next week we ended up in New York. While I was sitting there red-faced, my mother, the real Mrs. Tan, was shouting to his boss in her broken English. When I was a teenager, my mother’s broken English embarrassed me. But now, I see it differently. To me, my mother’s English is perfectly clear, perfectly natural. It is my mother tongue. Her language, as I hear it, is vivid, direct, and full of observation and wisdom. It was the language that helped shape the way I saw things, expressed ideas, and made sense of the world.21. Why was the author’s mother poorly served?A. She was often misunderstood.B. She was unable to speak good English.C. She was not clearly heard.D. She was not very polite.22. From Paragraph 2,we know that the author was .A. unwilling to phone for her motherB. rude to the stockbrokerC. ready to help her motherD.good at pretending23. After the author made the phone call, .A. they forgave the stockbrokerB. they went to New York immediatelyC. they failed to get the checkD. they spoke to their boss at once24. What does the author think of her mother’s English now?A. It confuses her.B. It embarrasses her.C. It helps her tolerate rude people.D. It helps her understand the world.BGiselle and Finnegan have given Mother’s Day a strange new style. It seems that a mother dog has adopted(收养)a baby squirrel(松鼠)who doesn’t have parents. When Finnegan was in need of help,I took him in. To my surprise,my dog Giselle, who gave birth to babies a week ago, liked the little animal and took him into her home. Giselle seemed to know that the baby was in need of some love. Finnegan was perfectly happy to stay with the little dogs.A mother dog is much like a human mother who feeds, protects, and teaches her children to live in their world. In the early weeks,a mother dog will protect her babies, keep them warm, nurse them and clean them. As they grow older and begin to walk, she teaches them to play outside and keep their living places clean. She also teaches them how to deal with others and how to obey parents. It is natural for little dogs to play, but when they do not behave well, the mother dog will step in. If the play becomes too rough(粗暴的),she will discipline(使守纪律)all the little dogs by holding them down until they stop struggling. That’s why it is best for l ittle dogs to stay with their mother until at least 7 or 8 weeks of age.Giselle’s doggy methods of mothering may go against the squirrel’s instincts(本能)as he grows older. I have no doubt that Giselle’s loving care helped the little squirrel live during those early days.25. According to this passage,Finnegan is ________.A. a little squirrel that is being looked after by a dogB. a warmhearted woman who loves animalsC. a little dog whose parents left himD. a dog mother who is good at taking care of babies26. Which of the following does a mother dog NOT do?A. Feed and protect her little dogs.B. Provide her babies with milk.C. Teach her babies how to fight others.D. Show her babies how to keep clean.27. Why will the dog mother step in if the little dogs start to play roughly?A. She wants to play with them.B. She wants to punish them.C. She wants them to respect and love each other.D. She wants to correct their behavior.28. What is the best title of the passage?A. A Mother Dog’s Love for BabiesB. Animals and HumansC. A Mother Dog’s DayD. A Dog and Its OwnerCYour job is important and part of what shows who you are. However, in order to be truly successful in life you need to be balanced. After fifteen years in the Information Technology industry, I have learned a few lessons that have helped me maintain my sanity (明智) at work. The key for me has always been to have hobbies and interests outside of work. It doesn’t matter what you do, but you need time away from your work, time away from your family and time that is strictly yours for enjoyment. This blog, for example, is one of my new hobbies. Without hobbies, or at least a time to decompress, I feel that by the end of the week I’m dead and no use to my family all the weekend long.I put family first. This doesn’t mean I’m a clock-watcher at work, but means that I leave my work at work and make time for my family. I make sure I’m there for supper almost every night and I spend time with my family (And watching TV doesn’t count). My overall life runs a lot better when I make sure I give time to my family. If I don’t do something active like running, playing soccer or rock climbing, I tend to be ill-tempered. This is the way I deal with my stress; it’s not only something that makes me feel good, but also means that I can focus on work.I take time for personal reflection (反省). It makes me feel like all those goals I haven’t reached yet are attainable(可达到的) if I stay focused and on course.29. According to the author, we should to deal with stress.A. do much readingB. focus on our workC. keep a good moodD. do something activeDAre you a dog person or a cat person? With so many photos and videos of cats and dogs doing cute things online, it’s easier than ever to answer which of these furry friends you like more. There are many reasons why people prefer one type of pet over the other. So, have you ever wondered what your preference for cats or dogs says about you?In fact, a 2010 study done by Sam Gosling, a psychologist at the University of Texas, US, and his graduate student Carson Sandy found that dog people are more extroverted (外向的), agreeable(有礼貌的) and con- scientious (认真的) than cat people.“Cats will occasionally engage in social activities, but usually after only a few minutes they will abandon the game. Dogs, on the other hand, will often engage in play, like fetching a thrown ball, for hours at a time,” said Modern Dog magazine.Just on the basis of dogs’ nature being more sociable than cats’, you may expect that the personalities of dog people also reflect higher sociability. And Gosling’s study found that dog people are generally about15 percent more extroverted and 13 percent more agreeable, both of which are linked with social orientation (态度).In addition, dog people are 11 percent more conscientious than cat people. “Conscientiousness” is a tendency (趋势) to show self-discipline (自律), to complete tasks and aim for achievement. This trait (特点) also shows a preference for planned rather than spontaneous (一时冲动的) behavior. In comparison, cat people are about 12 percent more anxious, but they are also 11 percent more “open” than dog people, due to a general appreciation for art, emotion, imagination, curiosity, adventure, unusual ideas and variety of experience. And people high on openness(率直的)are more likely to hold unconventional (非传统的) beliefs.Despite vast differences, there are some things that cat people and dog people have in common. “Both types of people consider themselves close to nature, dislike animal-print clothing and are generally optimists,” noted Mother Nature Network.33. What does the article mainly talk about?A. Differences between dogs and cats in their personality traits.B. Factors that influence people’s preference for dogs or cats.C. How raising a pet helps shape your personality.D. What your preference for dogs or cats tells about you.34. According to the study done by Sam Gosling, dog owners tend to ______ than cat owners.A. be more imaginative and creativeB. live a more organized lifeC. be more easygoing and adventurousD. love to get close to nature more35. According to the article, both dog people and cat people ______.A. are generally self-disciplinedB. like to wear animal-print clothingC. are likely to hold unconventional beliefsD. are usually positive and care about nature第二节根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

He knew very well the hare ran a hundred times faster than he himself did.”“He didn’t have such a wish,” I insisted. “He won the race by perseverance (坚忍不拔), by pushing on steadily.”Sonny thought a while. “That’s a lie,” he said. “He won it because he was lucky. If the hare hadn’t happened to fall asleep, the tortoise would never have won the race. He could be as steady as you like, or a hundred times steadier, but he’d never have won the race. The hareCSAN FRANCISCO—A phone app(应用程序)in San Francisco gives information about open parking spots.City officials in San Francisco introduced the app to try to reduce traffic jams in the city, but some say it raises safety concerns. In this city, drivers searching for parking spots lead to 30 percent of all downtown jams, city officials think. Now San Francisco has found a solution —a phone app for spot-seekers that shows information about areas with available spaces. The system, introduced last month, relies on wireless sensors(感应器)fixed in streets and city garages that can tell within seconds if a spot has opened up.But the system could come with serious consequences .Some people say that drivers searching for parking could end up focusing on their phones, not the road.“It could be really distracting(使分心的),”said Daniel Simons, a professor of psychology at the University of Illinois.City officials admitted the hidden problem. They are urging drivers to pull over before they use the city’s iPhone app, or to do so before they leave home. Nathaniel Ford, executive director of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, said safety could actually improve if drivers quickly found a spot instead of circling and getting frustrated.San Francisco has put sensors into 7,000 parking spots and 12,250 spots in city garages. If spaces in an area open up, the sensors communicate wirelessly with computers that in turn make the information available to app users within a minute, said Mr. Ford, of the transportation agency. On the app, a map shows which blocks have lots of places(blue)and which are full(red).More than 12,000 people have downloaded San Francisco’s app, which is available now only for the iPhone.8.What is the phone app mentioned in the text mainly aimed at?A.Benefiting iPhone users.B.Preventing traffic accidents.C.Making the traffic flow smoothly.D.Making full use of the parking spots.9.According to the text, San Francisco city officials .A.don’t consider the app distracting.B.are aware of the app’s disadvantages.C.advise drivers to park cars slowly.D.believe more parking spots are needed.10.The phone app mentioned in the text .A.is a bit slow in reactingB.hasn’t been put into serviceC.was introduced several years agoD.can’t be downloaded to all phones11.What’s the main idea of the passage?A.A phone app has been introduced to relieve the pressure on traffic in the city.B.Safety concerns are voiced about a phone app aimed at helping drivers find parking spots.C.Looking for parking spots contributes greatly to downtown traffic jams.D.Drivers’ attention is distracted in one way or another when they are driving.DParents and kids today dress alike, listen to the same music, and are friends. Is this a good thing? Sometimes, when Mr. Ballmer and his 16-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, listen to rock music together and talk about interests they both enjoy, such as pop culture, he remembers his more distant relationship with his parents when he was a teenager.“I would never have said to my mom, ‘Hey, the new Weezer album is really great. How do you like it?’” says Ballmer. “There was just a complete gap in taste.”Music was not the only gulf. From clothing and hairstyles to activities and expectations, earlier generations of parents and children often appeared to move in separate orbits(轨道).Today, the generation gap has not disappeared, but it is getting narrow in many families. And parent—child activities, from shopping to sports, involve a feeling of trust and friendship that can continue into adulthood. But family experts warn that the new equality can also result in less respect for parents. “There’s still a lot of strictness and authority(权威) on the part of parents out there, but there is a change happening,”says Kerrie, a psychology professor at Lebanon Valley College. “In the middle of that change, there is a lot of confusion among parents.”Family researchers offer a variety of reasons for these changing roles and attitudes. They see the 1960s as a turning point. Great cultural changes led to more open communication and a more democratic(民主的) process that encourages everyone to have a say.“My parents were on the ‘before’ side of that change, but today’s parents, the 40-year-olds, were on the ‘after’side,”explains Mr. Ballmer. “It’s not something easily achieved by parents these days, because life is more difficult to understand or deal with, but sharing interests does make it more fun to be a parent now.”12.The underlined word “gulf” in Para.3 most probably means .A.distanceB. interestC. similarityD. cooperation13.The change in today’s parent-child relationship is .A.more confusion among children.B.less respect for parents from children.C.new equality between parents and children.D.more strictness and authority on the part of parents.14.By saying “today’s parents, the 40-year-olds, were on the ‘after’side.” the author means thattoday’s parents .A.can set a limit to the change.B.follow the trend of the change.C.fail to take the change seriously.D.have little difficulty adjusting(适应)to the change.15.The purpose of the passage is to .A.describe the difficulties today’s parents have met with.B.discuss the development of the parent—child relationship.C.suggest the ways to handle the parent—child relationship.pare today’s parent—child relationship with that in the past.第二节(共5 小题; 每小题2 分, 满分10 分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

AWhen I was a boy growing up in New Jersey in the 1960s, we had a milkman delivering milk to our doorstep. His name was Mr. Basille. He wore a white cap and drove a white truck. As a 5-year-old boy, I couldn’t take my eyes off the coin changer fixed to his belt. He noticed this one day during a delivery and gave me a quarter out of his coin changer.Of course, he delivered more than milk. There was cheese, eggs and so on. If we needed to change our order, my mother would pen a note —―Please add a bottle of buttermilk next delivery‖ — and place it in the box along with the empty bottles. And then, the buttermilk would magically appear. All of this was about more than convenience. There existed a close relationship between families and their milkmen. Mr. Basille even had a key to our house, for those times when it was so cold outside that we put the box indoors, so that the milk wouldn’t freeze. And I remember Mr. Basille from time to time taking a break at our kitchen table, having a cup of tea and telling stories about his delivery. There is sadly no home milk delivery today. Big companies allowed the production of cheaper milk, thus making it difficult for milkmen to compete. Besides, milk is for sale everywhere, and it may just not have been practical to have a delivery service.Recently, an old milk box in the countryside I saw brought back my childhood memories. I took ithome and planted it on the back porch (门廊). Every so often my son’s friends will ask what it is. So I start telling stories of my boyhood, and of the milkman who brought us friendship along with his milk.21.Mr. Basille gave the boy a quarter out of his coin changer ________.A.to show his magical power B.to pay for the deliveryC.to satisfy his curiosity D.to please his mother22.What can be in ferred from the fact that the milkman had the key to the boy’s house? A.He wanted to have tea there. B.He was a respectable person.C.He was treated as a family member. D.He was fully trusted by the family.23.Why does home milk delivery no longer exits?A.Nobody wants to be a milkman now. B.It has been driven out of the market.C.Its service is getting poor. D.It is forbidden by law.BMemory, they say, is a matter of practice and exercise. If you have the wish and really made a conscious(自觉的)effort, then you can quite easily improve your ability to remember things. But even if you are successful, there are times when your memory seems to play tricks on you.Sometimes you remember things that really did not happen. One morning last week, for example, I got up and found that I had left the front door unlocked all night, yet I clearly remember locking it carefully the night before.Memory ―trick‖ work the other way as well. Once in a while you remember not doing something, and then find out that you did. One day last month, for example, I was sitting in a barber(理发师)shop waiting for my turn to get a haircut, and suddenly I realized that I had got a haircut two days before at the barber shop across the street from my office. We always seem to find something funny and amusing(有趣的)in incidents caused by people’s forgetfulness or absent-mindedness. Stories about absent-minded professors have been told for years, and we never got tired of hearing new ones. Unfortunately, however, absent-mindedness is not always funny. There are times when ―trick‖ of our memory can cause us great trouble.24. If you want to have a good memory, .A. you should force yourself to remember thingsB. you should try hard to remember thingsC. you should never stop learningD. you should make a conscious effort of practice and exercise25. Which of the following statements is true according to the passage?A. The writer remembered unlocking the front door.B. One night the writer forgot having locked the front door.C. The writer remembered to lock the door.D. One night the writer forgot to lock the front door.26. From the sentence ―We never get tired of hearing new ones‖, we can infer that.A. absent-mindedness happens not only to professors but to many other peopleB. we don’t want to know anything more about absent-mindedness of professorsC. we will never get tired of listening to new stories about absent-mindednessD. we enjoy hearing new stories about absent-mindedness of professors27. The best title for this passage is .A. How to Get a Good MemoryB. ―Tricks‖ Of MemoryC. Forgetfulness and Absent-mindedness is DangerousD. Get Rid of Absent-mindednessCNowadays,Korea is influenced by American culture. If you visit Seoul (汉城),you will see a lot of fast food stores in each avenue, places such as KFC,McDonald’s and Burger King. You will also be surprised to see many western style clothes which are different from our traditional clothes such as the Han Bouk. When you go around department stores, you can see many young students waiting in line to buy famous brands such as 96 New York jeans,Guess,Polo,Guest,Channel, and Cartiers. It is hard to find clothes which represent (代表) traditional Korean culture. There are only a few stores which sell traditional clothing, and these stores are starting to disappear. When you visit middle schools in Korea, you will also find students listening to music on their CD players, mostly rock and roll, including the pop music of singers such as Britney Spiers,Christina Aquilera, and Ricky Martin. Moreover,if you ask students to talk about Korean musictraditions, they probably will not give you an answer at once. Now,however, there are some voices which are urging us to preserve our own culture. One is an association which insists people eat traditional food such as kimchi. They make websites to show how traditional Korean foods are beneficial for health, and they advertise on TV regularly about traditional customs. They say that Koreans are losing their identity (特性),and they are also concerned because young people don’t even know about the traditional Korean holidays. They suggest that the government prepare extra programs to teach young students about Korean traditions. Some middle schools have tried to do this, but it isn’t working very effectively.28.The passage mainly tells us ________.A.the influence of American culture on South KoreaB.what the capital city Seoul is likeC.the popularity of fast food in South KoreaD.the social customs in South Korea29.From the second paragraph we can see that Guess,Polo,Guest are ________.A.fast food restaurants B.names of famous storesC.famous brand of clothes D.traditional Korean clothes30.What does the underlined word ―preserve‖ mean in this passage?A.protect. B.prevent. C.pretend. D.respect.31.What is the main purpose of the association?A.To encourage people to eat traditional food.B.To make people realize their duties.C.To make sure young people live healthily.D.To keep their own way of life and culture alive.DWhat will the house of the future look like? Could it have gardens on its walls, or a pool with fish for dinner? Architects believe that they are all possibilities. The only thing for sure is that the houses will be as green as possible. The tree houseMany architects in the world would like to build a ―tree house.‖ Like a leaf, the surface of the house collects sunlight during the day. The energy can be used to heat water, produce electricity, and even create fresh air for the home. The ―root‖ (根) of the house is deep under the ground. It uses the soil (土壤) to the home’s temperature. The Lizard houseLike a lizard (蜥蜴), changing color with the weather is the most important design of a lizard house. When it’s in the bright sun, the cover of the house will turn dark to protect it from strong heat. During dark days, it turns white and takes in as much light and heat as possible to produce energy.Meals at homeThis design is perhaps as much about the future of food production as architecture (建筑风格). It has gardens on the outside wall of the house. People can plant tomatoes, carrots and green tea on them. So every day in the morning, you just need to walk outside and collect your meals. Learning from the pastLooking to the future isn’t the only way to be green. Sometimes, ancient techniques (古老的技术) can also help cut down energy use. For example, a chimney (烟囱) can be a useful air conditioner because it is easier of hot air to flow out at the chimney.32. What is the best title (标题) of the passage?A. Green house of the future.B.The greener, the better.C. How to build green houses.D. Changes of the houses.33. We can heat water, produce electricity or create fresh air for the home .A. with the root of a leaf.B.with the energy from sunlight.C. with the soil under the groundD. with gardens on its walls.34. What will happen to the cover of the lizard house when it’s in the bright sun?A. It will take in light.B.It will produce energy.C. It will turn dark.D. It will turn white.35. The passage seems to tell us that meals at home in the future .A. will be more delicious.B.will be greener.C. cost as much as possible.D. need more cooks.第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

She was still speaking when an elderly gentleman limped up to the counter and began looking closely at the row of puddings with great interest."Why,that's the very gentleman I've been telling you about,"whispered the shop girl."Just watch him now."And then turning to him:"Would you like to sample them, sir? Here's a spoon for you to use."The elderly gentleman, who was poorly but neatly dressed, accepted the spoon and began eagerly to sample one after another of the puddings, only breaking off occasionally to wipe his red eyes with a large torn handkerchief."This is quite good"."This is not bad either, but a little too heavy".All the time it was quite evident that he sincerely believed that he might eventually buy one of these puddings, and I am positive that he did not for a moment feel that he was in any way cheating the store.Poor old chap!Probably he had come down in the world and this sampling was all that was left him from the time when he could afford to come and select his favorite pudding.Amidst the crowd of happy, prosperous looking Christmas shoppers, the little black figure of the old man seemed pitiful and out of place, and in a burst of benevolence,I went up to him and said:"Pardon me,sir, will you do me a favor?Let me purchase you one of these puddings. It would give me such pleasure."He jumped back as if he had been stung, and the blood rushed into his wrinkled face."Excuse me,"he said, with more dignity than I would have thought possible considering his appearance,"I do not believe I have the pleasure of knowing you.Undoubtedly you have mistaken me for someone else."And with a quick decision he turned to the shop girl and said in a loud voice,"Kindly pack me up this one here.I will take it with me."He pointed at one of the largest and most expensive of the puddings. The girl took down the pudding from its stand and started to make a parcel of it,While he pulled out a worn little black pocketbook and began counting out shillings and pennies on to the counter. To save his"honor",he had been forced into a purchase which he could not possibly afford. How I longed for the power to unsay my tactless words! It was too late though, and I felt that the kindest thing I could do now would be walk away."You pay at the desk,"the shop girl was telling him,but he did not seem to understand and kept trying to put the coins into her hand. And that was the last I saw or heard of the old man.Now he can never go there to sample puddings and more.32.By saying it was indeed the case.,the author meant that ______ .A. many shoppers would sample pudding before buying themB. some people just sampled pudding but didn't buy themC. the Christmas season was the time to promote pudding sales.D. there were various kinds of puddings on sale during the Christmas sale.33.From the girl's words,we know that she ______A. felt pity for the old manB. looked down upon the old manC. thought poorly of sampling puddingD. worked in the shop for a few months34.The old man finally bought a pudding because ______A. he had intended to buy the puddingB. the author gave him some moneyC. he was annoyed by the author's offerD. the shop girl asked him to purchase one35.Why did the author feel that he should walk away according to the passage? ______A. AA couple of weeks ago, a few friends and I had an opportunity to attend a dear friend's wedding in New York. After the wedding and reception, rather accidentally four of us gathered in a hotel room and began to explore the deeper meaning of life and death. What does it mean to live truly? If we are all getting closer to death, is all the material accumulation worth it? It is not exactly the type of conversations one has at a wedding. While the answers varied from person to person, I was left with more questions than answers and a feeling of gratefulness to be surrounded by friends who were asking the "right" questions. As the clock kept ticking past 3 a.m., one of the roommates suggested we watch a short film titled "Last Days of Zach Sobiech". The film is about a teenager's journey throughthe last days of his incurable illness. The film brought up a lot of mixed emotions but one quote that stood out for me was Zach's simple explanation of happiness, " What makes one happy is seeing someone else smile because you put it there." By 4 a.m. , there was this energy in the room that had to be shared! With a few packages of post-it notes, we hit the halls of the hotel. We decided to leave short inspirational words on guests' doors, so when they opened their doors few hours later a smile would turn up.We ended up sticking post-it notes on all the doors until we ran out of them. The note on thedoor of the newly-weds properly said, "Where there is love, there is life."21. About "explore the deeper meaning of life and death" at a wedding, the author thinksA. it is meaningfulB.it is not properC. it is interesting.D. it is natural.22. After watching the film, what impressed the author most?A. Zach's mixed emotionsB. Zach's poor fateC. Zach's simple explanation of happinessD. Zach's struggle with illness23. What did the author and his friends do after they saw the film?A. They knocked door to door to offer help in the hotel.B. They stuck notes with encouraging words on guests' doors.C. They shared happiness with the workers of the hotel.D. They thanked the wedding couple gratefully for invitation.24. What can we learn from the author and his friends' action?A. Good is rewarded with good.B. Friends are your valuable treasure.C. Helping others in trouble is good to oneself.D. One who brings happiness to others is also happy oneself.BThe world is filled with smart, talented, educated and gifted people. We meet them every day.A few days ago, my car was not running well. I pulled it into a garage and the young mechanic had it fixed in just a few minutes. He knew what was wrong by simply listening to the engine. I was amazed. The sad truth is : Great talent is not enough.I am constantly shocked at how little talented people earn. I heard the other day that less than5 percent of Amercians earn more than $ 100,000 a year. A business consultant who specializes in the medical trade was telling me how many doctors and dentists struggle financially. It was this business consultant who gave me the phrase, "They are one skill away from great wealth."There is an old saying that goes, " Job means just over broke." And unfortunately, I would say that the saying applies to millions of people. Because school does not think financial intelligence is intelligence, most workers "_live within their means_ . They work and they pay the bills. Instead I recommend young people to seek work for what they will learn, more thanwhat they will earn. When I ask the classes I teach, " How many of you can cook a better hamburger than McDonald's?" almost all the students raise their hands. I then ask, "So if most of you can cook a better hamburger, how come McDonald's makes more money than you?" The answer is obvious: McDonald's is excellent at business systems. The reason so many talented people are poor is that they focus on building a better hamburger and know little or nothing about business systems. The world is filled with talented poor people. They focus on perfecting their skills at building a better hamburger rather than the skills of selling and delivering the hamburger.25. When we can just sit back and relax and our cars will drive themselves. Auto technology experts say "yes". And they say that someof those advances may happen quicker than you might think. They will require the users to input the name of the destination or the complete address of the location that they want to go and the cars' artificial intelligence takes them there automatically without a driver. They will run on solar power in the daytime and ethanol fuel (乙醇燃料) at night. Toyota, BMW and Honda will completely control the trade of driverless car business together and will have the cheapest driverless cars. Fossil fuels (矿物燃料) will be completely unsuitable for these cars.Driverless cars will not require a driver's license of any grade to operate. Anyone with basic literacy and computer skills who are at least 16 years of age will be legally allowed to operate the vehicle with absolutely no restrictions.
