A Comparative Study of Chinese Dream and American Dream

Key words: Individualism；Democracy； Freedom；Equality；Success； Collectivism； National rejuvenation；National prosperous and powerful；Happiness Abstract: American Dream: American believe that they can be success provided they work hard. Not depend your background or class but your efforts. In America everyone has opportunity to let their dream come true. As a result, America attracts many excellent people. Chinese Dream: Under the lead of the Chinese Communism Party, Chinese believe that they can achieve their national rejuvenation.
1. Introduction
American Dream: All the people can make their own success regardless of nationality, race, class and so on. This refers to what is stated in the Unite States Declaration of Independence:”We hold these truths to be
self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by they Creators with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Chinese Dream: Chinese Dream includes three aspects. First of all, a powerful and prosperous nation is expected to be set up in the world. What’s more, happiness is an important thing for all of the citizens. Then, Chinese want to achieve national rejuvenation. In the end, the aim is a development of people in an all-round way.

Conception of Chinese Dream and American Dream
American Dream: American Dream means equality, democracy, freedom. American believe that constant grinding can turn an iron rod into a needle so long as they make a persevere efforts. But instead, depending their

background and others’ help. Chinese Dream: Chinese Dream means that if we carry forward the spirit of solidarity and militancy, we can have chance and space to make our dream come true. Everyone in China has an opportunity te an excellent person and enjoy themselves.
3. Display Form of Chinese Dream and American Dream
American Dream: Bureaucrat capitalism is a important aspect to show the American dream. In capitalism country, capitalist are engaged in making money and don’t care about any thing. Especially after the Industrial Revolution, capitalism is popular. Another aspect is individual success
dream. As the conception is more popular, many great businesses appeared. For example, the great inventor who set up GE named Edison, banker John Pierpont Morgan④. They are in common: Although they don’t have a great background, they set up they great career by their efforts. Chinese Dream: Two aspects can show Chinese Dream. The first one is political influence. But we will never seek hegemony. We really don’t want to be invaded by other countries. Only we have a powerful nation, can we have a speaking right. The another aspect is national contribution to other countries. If we want to be respected. We must firstly make a contribution to all of the world. a respect reputation. American Dream: Every one want to be a successful person in America. After all, not everyone has a great background. However, they want to be a great man. Thus, they believe American Dream.
