李春生,笔名顺天,生于1954年,军旅书法家,现任顺天书画院院长,中国书法艺术研究院秘书长,中国书法艺术家协会常务理事,中国书画家艺术中心顾问等职务。
他驰聘军旅四十载,为国防建设与航天事业献出了青春年华。他以军人特有的自信、感悟、勤奋和执著,不断追求书法艺术的更高境界。他酷爱读书,数十载岁月积淀的文化内涵,使他在书法领域中能够做到厚积薄发。凭着对书法艺术的深刻理解与极高悟性,他的书法以楷书、行草为主,兼顾篆隶。其楷书作品,在欧体的基础上熔铸了张孟龙魏碑风格,刚柔并济雄浑大气。其行书作品长期追觅于二王的韵致,中侧锋并用,提、按、顿、挫、清晰分明。其篆隶作品,结构精致,笔势流畅,富于变化,灵动飘逸。各类作品受到了众多书画院与海内外广大书法爱好者的青睐。
李春生先生的毛体书法作品在全国书画作品大奖赛中,曾先后五次荣获金奖,被授予中国当代金奖艺术家称号。其作品先后入编《中国艺术研究》、《中国画报》、《中国人物传记》、《全国楹联书法绘画展作品》
等十余部书画典籍。2010年10月北京时代金城书画院、中国长城书画院为其举办了书画展;同年11月,马来西亚华人团体为其在马来西亚举办了个人书法展。他的100余幅楷、隶、行、草作品,在海内外引起了热烈反响,《中国画报》、《中国人物传记》、马来西亚《中国报》和《光华日报》对其进行了宣传报道。
读万卷书,行万里路,取百家之长,书万幅作品,广交天下书法同仁,传承中华千年文化,是李春生先生不懈追求的目标。他定会以军人的意志品质继续践行书法艺术载道、传德的大任。
Li Chunsheng, a military calligrapher with the pen name of Shuntian, was born in 1954. He now serves as the president of Shuntian Calligraphy and Painting Institute, secretary-general of China Calligraphy Research Institute, member of Banshu Association of China Federation of Literary and Arts Circles, member of China Couplets Society, special calligrapher of China Great Wall Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, standing director of China Calligraphy artists Association, advisor of China Academy of Calligraphy and Painting Art Center, member of Beijing Haidian Calligraphers' Association, vice secretary-general of Beijing Shidai
Jincheng Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, academician of Beijing Luyi Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, advisor of China Mao-style Calligraphy Research Society and member of Alumni Calligraphy and Painting Art Council, Guanghua School ofManagement, Beijing University.
He devoted himself to the construction of national defense system and China aerospace during his
four-decade-long military service. He has the confidence, feeling, diligence and persistence peculiar to army men and he always strives for higher level in practicing calligraphy. His ardent passion on reading gives him a profound understanding of culture, which was fully expressed in his calligraphy. He has the utmost comprehension of calligraphy. He mainly practices regular and running script, but also does seal and official scripts. His regular script works was based on Ou-style, with a combination of the style of Zhang Menglong and tablet of Wei Dynasty; his running script works always resembles Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi with clear-cut strokes; and his seal and official script works feature refined structure, fluent momentum, and are flexible,
changing and elegant. Many of his works won great applause from calligraphy fans and Academy of Painting And Calligraphy from China and abroad. Li's Mao-style works have won the Gold Price for five times in national calligraphy contests and he was named as China current Gold Price artist. His works have been collected into China Art Research, China Pictorial, China Biographies, China Couplets Calligraphy Exhibit Collection, and other books, a dozen in total. In October, 2010, Beijing Shidai Jincheng Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, China Great Wall Academy of Calligraphy and Painting held painting and calligraphy exhibitions
for him. In November, the Malaysian Chinese societies held a personal exhibition for him in Malaysia. His over 100 works evoked worldwide repercussions. China Pictorial, China Biographies, the Malaysian China and Guanghua Daily gave special coverage on his works.
Reading and travelling, learning from the merits of other schools, accomplishing millions works, and befriending other calligraphers in the world to inherit the vintage Chinese culture are the unremitting pursuit of Li. He will continue to practice calligraphy, teach techniques,
