托福独立写作真题及参考托福独立写作:年轻人与社会Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?Young people today have no influence on the important decisions that determine the future of society as a whole.Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.论证分析:正:Young people are inexperienced so they do not possess any credibility to be counted on by the society.Rarely is there any young person in the center of the authority.反:Young people are competent in many aspects in the society.Young people have visions about the future.补:Young people will finally be involved in important decision making of the society as a hole sooner or later范文:With the development of society, people nowadays are living in a relatively complete mechanism, yet some tiny but important aspects, which may be overlooked, need to be ameliorated by discussion. Some people may argue that youth seems to have on influence on current society, however, in my opinion, youth should still be taken into consideration when determining the future of the society in the long time run.Firstly, young people play a major role in improving the development of current society. For one thing, there are some specialtasks, which are not only inevitable in its area but also needs high requirements of physical condition and cannot be accomplished by old people. For instance, when enrolling pilots, no matter for military affairs or civil aviation, it is strict with requirements of physical condition like eyesight and height, which old people may not satisfy. For another, young people also promote economic increase to some degree. Many enterprises aim at expanding the market of youth by developing more products, which largely increase the purchasing power of youth. And this method achieves big success especially in the electronic market.Additionally, young people directly guide future direction ofour society. As youth possess creativity coming up with ideas, which sometimes seem to be ridiculous, it's entirely possible that one ofthose "wired idea" become breakthrough in a specific area. For instance, Steve Jobs, who has been described as the "Father of the Digital Revolution", once said he would like to invent a smartphone containing only one key. It was such a brave and creative idea and cannot berealized at that time. However, after continuously research, iphone, which guide a new period of communication, came out.Admittedly, despite older people are more experienced than youth, and are more possible to come up with more feasible and reasonable ideas when confronting difficulties, yet youth represent creativity, bravery and confidence, which are all inevitable during the process of the development of the society. Moreover, experience is based on accumulation of time and lessons, as older people also have no experience when they were young. Hence, blindly overlooking theimportant influence of youth, will finally lead to unexpected negative consequences.Overall, youth represent the future of the society, and have potential influence to the society from the aspect of future development.托福独立写作:效率与速度Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? In today’s world, it is more important to work quickly and risk making mistakes than to work slowly and make sure correct. that everything is correct .Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.范文:Modern technological development has made our lives faster than ever before. Under this circumstance, people nowadays tend to live with a faster pace, and people are now concern more about efficiency. As a result, doing things slowly and making almost everything correctly seems to be sort of out of date. In a modern society, people should, I believe, work at a higher speed and risk taking mistakes. As I've mentioned in the first paragraph, the development of modern technology has made our life faster than ever before. With the assistance of modern techniques, we consequently should work faster than ever before. For instance, in the old days people made their own clothes by hand. But now, machines in the factories have made sewing and weaving at a great speed and of great quality. We do not have to waste any time doing cumbersome works because of modern technology. Therefore, why should we insist to work at a slow pace instead of enjoying the convenience that is brought by technology?Another important aspect is, now we are living in a societywhich develops rapidly. To meet the rapid change and improvement, all of us need to improve our own efficiency. As we can see, almost everyfactory wants to increase its productivity and almost all the employer wants employees to generate greater value within the time limitation. Nobody wants to be a loser in the society, so the only way to keep pace with the whole society is to accelerate, which is, working faster.By then, some people may counters that people may face greater risks of making mistakes. Admittedly, it is highly possible for us to make mistakes when working at a high speed. But in fact, we human beings always make mistakes, so even if we work as slowly and carefully as possible, we still risk making errors. However, by taking the advantage of modern technology and high self-efficiency, we can do our work more precisely than ever before. All in all, in today ’s world, people should work at a higher speed. It is so important that everyone in a modern society should belike that. It is a general tendency of our world.。

2020年托福写作模拟试题及答案(卷一)Some people say that the Internet provides people with a lot of valuable information. Others think access to so much information creates problems. Which view do you agree with? Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.托福写作范文:The Internet is a great invention be cause it disseminates information freely. Freedom of information is in the interest of a country and its citizens, but, in light of the information anarchy on the Internet, people need to learn and understand how to evaluate and use the information they find at their fingertips. The Internet promotes freedom of information and freedom of speech, which are integral part of a successful modern democratic society. With innumerable news sources at their disposal citizens have the opportunity to educate themselves, and this knowledge will allow them to contribute to the progression of their society.Similarly, the ability to consult different viewpoints, especially those diverging from their own, will allow people engage in meaningful dialogue with other citizens. The result of this continued discourse will be a more open minded and also tolerant society. As a vehicle of communication the Internet will connect people of the same interests and the same concerns. Thus connected citizens will be encouraged towork together and they will become active participants of society rather than passive subjects.Critics of the Internet's free flow of information are concerned that people will fall victim to bad or rather incorrect information and act on it. This concern is warranted in so far that the Internet is intrinsically anarchic, and anybody with a computer can create Website and post information thereon. As a result, it can be very difficult to determine what information is correct or reliable and which is not. However, difficult as it may seem, there are ways that one can navigate the information jungle of the Internet and arrive at conclusions. In order to do so one has to learn to valuate sources of information. For example, the Website of a research scientist at a major university or that of a well-known non-profit organization is a more reliable source of information than the personal Website of a senior school student.Which would you choose: a high-paying job with long hours that would give you little time with family and friends or a lower-paying job with shorter hours that would give you more time with family and friends? Explain your choice, using specific reasons and details.托福写作范文:I am optimistic that through my studies and continued hard work I will be able to find a job that will provide my future family and me with financial security. We should be able to afford the necessities of life, suchas a modest home, enough food to nourish us and keep us in good health, as well as education for our children. Hopefully, I will find myself in the fortunate situation where I can decide between a high-paying job with long hours and a lower-paying job with shorter hours. I would choose the job with the lower salary and greater personal time without hesitation, because my family and friends are the most important things in my life.Time is the greatest investment I can make into the relationships with my wife and my children. A marriage is not just a decision one makes but a promise that one keeps. In order to do so one has to be there for the other person and share moments of joy as well as times of difficulty. Nowadays, too many relationships wither away as the partners are unable to work out their problems or bond through meaningful experiences. Personal careers become too important and family time becomes a rare occurrence. The absence of one parent, due to professional career or divorce, can have a very negative effect on a child's development. The child might question his value to father or mother (depending on which one is continually absent) and develop low self-esteem. Without the presence of either or, worse, both parents, the child will be more likely to make bad decisions as he is lacking proper guidance. And there is one point should also be mentioned, i.e. neither expensive toys nor fancy clothes。

祝你们考高分。
篇一Which one do you prefer, to solve problems on your own experience and knowledge, or to ask others for advice? As knowledge and experience serve as twim towers in problem-solving, one is often presented with two major paths that pave the way for final fulfillment, eitther to wrack his brain, just like what happened to Neuton, siiting for many years under an apple tree and eventually figuring out ond of the greatest universal rules that govern the whole globe, or to seek for others’ widsom through their advice, just as in the case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Both ways work. When a practical goal is involved, however, Benjimin Franklin may best be regareded as a role model in this respect and asking people for advice often turn out to be the prime alternative.Experience and knowledge borrowed or learned f rom others’ advice contribute greatly to effectiveness and effeciency for a goal-accomplishment. Not all experience and knowledge related to problem-solving can be obtained by personal effort alone due to limitations of mind and capabilities of each individual. A single thought in someone’s mind is, more often than not, far less shining compared with group’s wisdom. That explains the famous old saying that one sees further when standing upon the shoulders’ of past great giants; that explains why a great lea der is always with greater minds; that also explains why teamwork in corperation is highly emphasized in the 21st century. Brainstormand exchange of ideas between different thoughts never fail to enhance capabilities of each individula involved, a team, a company, an institution, a country, or even the entire global village.Asking others’ advice instead of getting everything done on one’s own promotes democracy and communication too. In terms of democracy, it is necessary to give others rights and chances to speak since the problem may concern them in different ways, and their saying in turn reflects our respect toward freedom of speech as well as their wisdom. In terms of communication, idea exchange sometimes focuses more than solutions, and hereby better mutual understanding about perspectives, principles, praticalities and personalities of each other.Admittely turning to others for help and suggestion by no means refers to absolute and irresponsible dependence. Consideration upon different thoughts and ideas broadens our mind, enlarges our vision, furthers understanding, enhances more effective and efficient brainstorm, and stresses mutual respect in groups and communities, which undoubtedly gives rise to better, if not the best solutions. As is paraphrased from John F Kenedy, brainstormed, there is little we cannot do while divided, there is little we can do.篇二Case of Benjinin Franklin, gathering great minds under one roof and then establishing a most world-renown libray. Others live in different towns and cities. Which do you think is beterr? Give reasons for your answer. After they complete their univerrsity studies, some students preferr to live in their hometowns while others choose to live in different towns or cities. Everybody has his own reasons for his preference. After my graduation, I will go back and live in my home city. I have made this decision because of the following reasons.Firstly, my home city is a big city that can offer a lot. There are plenty of opportunities for work, many big libraries for studies, several differrent musiums for visit, and numerous cinemas, theaters and centers for entertainment. When I go back there, I will have no difficulty in finding a job suitable for me and I can make use of all the facilities available there.Secondly, if I go back to my home city, I can look after my parents. I take this into consideration because I am their only child and they are now weak and getting on in age. If I live in the same city with them, I can visit them very often and help them whenever it is necessary.Thirdly, if I live in my home city, I will have a lot of friends, schoolmates and relatives to visit and to turn to for help when I need. Of course, I could get acquainted with many people and make many friends if I were to go to live in a strange place, but that takes time. If I go back to my home city, everybody will bewaiting for me and I will be able to settle down comfortably without any trouble and waste of time.In short, my choise is based on a careful consideration of my home city and my family. I think it is a better or sensible choice; in a certain sense, it is a must.Neighbors are the people who live near us. In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good neighbor? Use specific details and examples in your answer.篇四If you have a good neighbor, you are a lucky person. You have someone who cares about your needs and your property, who is helpful in the little day-to-day situations that come up, and who is supportive in times of crisis.A good neighbor is someone who, for instance, understands that your children may occasionally run across his lawn,- even though you tell them not to. He'll realize that children can be careless about things like that, and he won't make a big fuss about it unless it becomes a regular thing. In the same vein, he knows that you'll understand if some of the trash from his trash cans blows across into your yard. In other words, he is sensitive to the unintentional things that can happen. He doesn't make a big deal about them.A good neighbor is also respectful of your property. For example, she asks your permission before doing anything that interferes with what's yours. This means she wouldn't plant a huge tree in between your houses without asking how you felt about it. If she wanted to put up a fence, she would let you know first. She might work with you to decide where it should be placed. Maybe the two of you would even split the cost.A good neighbor would lend you some milk if you ran out. She'd give you a ride to work if your car was broken, and let your children stay at her house in the evening if you got stuck working overtime. You would do the same for her. Both of you would help make the other's life easier. When something really awful happens to you, like a death in the family, a good neighbor will volunteer to help in any way he can. This could mean something small, like making some casseroles to put in your freezer to feed visiting relatives. Or it could mean something big, like helping you get through the sadness of the funeral. I think only someone who has experienced a bad neighbor can really appreciate a good one! A good neighbor can be a good friend. He or she can make all the difference in the world to your life.篇五Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and esamples to support your answer. Some people like to eat out at food stands and restaurants, while others like to prepare food at home. Often it depends on the kind of lifestyle people have. Those with very busy jobs ou tside the house don’t always have time to cook. They like the convenience of eating out. Overall, though, it is cheaper and healthier to eat at home. While eating in restaurants is fast, the money you spend can add up. When I have dinner at a restaurant with a friend, the bill is usually over twenty dollars. I can buy a lot of groceries with that much money. Even lunch at a fast-food stand usually costs five or six dollars for one person. That’s enough to feed the whole family at home. Eating at home is better for you, too. Mealsat restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food-than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients. You can use margarine instead of butter on your potatoes, or not put so much cheese on top of your pizza. At home, you can control your portion size. You can serve yourself as little as you want. In a restaurant, you may eat a full plate of food "because you paid for it."It’s true that eating out is convenient. You don’t have to shop, or cook, or clean up. But real home cooking doesn’t have to take up a lot of time. There are lots of simple meals that don’t take long to make. In fact, they’re faster than eating out, especially if you think of the time you spend driving to a restaurant, parking, waiting for a table,, waiting for service, and driving home. Both eating at restaurants and cooking at home can be satisfying. Both can taste good and be enjoyed with family and friends. I prefer cooking at home because of the money and health issues, but people will make the choice that fits their lifestyle best.。

2020年托福写作模拟试题及答案(卷二)有必要每天留作业吗Many teachers assign homework to students every day. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.托福写作范文:For students the only good homework is no homework. This has been a truism for as long as schools have existed. However, the practice of newly acquired knowledge and the preparation for new lessons are essential parts of the learning process. Teachers understand this and give assignments accordingly.Nevertheless, there is such thing as too much homework. Whether daily homework is useful or not depends on the age of the students and the subjects in which the work is assigned, and teachers also have to take into account the possible negative effects of overwork. The age of a student or, better yet, the stage of the personal development of a student has to be considered when deciding on the amount of homework assigned. Elementary school students respond differently to daily homework than senior school students. They are more limited in their ability to concentrate on a subject and take in knowledge. These are skills that are developed over time. In addition, they will need time to learn other important lessons, for example how to interact sociallyand behave in a group of their peers. Thus, instead of daily homework, these students need time to play with their friends. The need for daily homework also differs from subject to subject. For example, in the areas of mathematics and languages continuous engagement with the subject matter is necessary, because it allows a student to internalize important concepts and mechanisms. In the field of history, on the other hand, it is more important that students grasp greater concepts. Memorizing dates and places is important, surely, but, if forgotten, these can always be looked up in the textbook. In these subjects daily homework is not only unnecessary but it might discourage students from taking an interest in the topic. After all, learning is largely a voluntary activity, and teachers have to consider the possibility that too much homework will frustrate the students. As a result, students might become less interested in the subject or less willing to learn. Consequently, the good intentions of the teacher could very well have the opposite effect and a student will learn less.选择一个从没学过的学科If you could study a subject that you have never had the opportunity to study, what would you choose? Explain your choice, using specific reasons and details.托福写作范文:Students graduating from colleges today are not fully prepared to deal with the "real world." It is my belief that college students need to be taught more skills and information about personal finance management to enable them to meet the challenges that face everyone in daily life, which includes playing the credit game, planning their personal financial strategy, and consumer awareness.Learning how to obtain and use credit is probably the most valuable knowledge a young person can have.Credit is a dangerous tool that can be of tremendous help if it is handled with caution. Having credit can enable people to obtain material necessities before they have the money to purchase them outright. But unfortunately, many, many young people get carried away with their handy plastic credit cards and awake one day to find they are in serious financial debt. Learning how to use credit properly can be a very difficult and painful lesson indeed.Of equal importance is learning how to plan a personal budget. People have to know how to control money; otherwise, it can control them. Students should leave college knowing how to allocate their money for living expenses, insurance, savings, and so forth in order to avoid the "Oh, no! I'm flat broke and I don't get paid again for two weeks!" anxiety syndrome.Along with learning about credit and personal financial planning,。

The year 2020 was a turning point for many, a time of reflection and growth. Amidst the global pandemic, we learned the true value of community and resilience. In the early months, the world came to a standstill, but the human spirit did not. We saw heroes in everyday people, from healthcare workers to neighbors, all contributing to the fight against the unseen enemy.Education took a new form, transitioning from classroomsto virtual spaces. Students adapted, showing an unparalleled adaptability and a thirst for knowledge that transcended physical barriers. The environment, too, experienced a reprieve. With fewer cars on the roads and industries at a halt, nature began to reclaim its space, reminding us of the delicate balance we share with our planet.Culturally, we turned to art and storytelling for solace. Music, literature, and film provided a window to the world outside, a means to connect with others and share ourcollective experiences. The year also brought a surge in technological innovation, as we sought new ways to stay connected and productive. From remote work solutions to advancements in healthcare, technology became our lifeline. In the face of adversity, we discovered our capacity for empathy and unity. The small acts of kindness, the global efforts to support those in need, they all painted a picture of hope amidst the chaos. As we look back on 2020, it's not just the challenges we faced but also the lessons we learned and the strength we found within ourselves. It was a year that tested us, but it also showed us what we are capable of when we come together as one.。

2020年1月5日托福写作解析参考范文It is a common phenomenon that students meet all sorts of problems to solve in study. Teachers and friends are the ones we can count on no matter how difficult the problems are. But when it comes to whether teachers are more valuable than our friends, some people may agree with it, for experienced tutors can guide us. However, I disagree based on the following reasons. It is not to say tutors do not play an important role in dealing with questions. They would recommend books of specific subject, provide words of wisdom and share their problem-solving mentality to pull us through hard questions. However, we can seek help from our friends who are excelled at a certain subject or have been through the same problem. So the merit from teachers seems insignificant compared with those brought by our friends.First, the problems my friends are faced with can be tackled effectively and timely. Obviously, teachers have a heavy workload. They have to spend hours checking books, studying material and doing research before classes to get fully prepared. Right after class there will be questions to be answered and papers to be graded. Once my friends want to ask teachers for help, they have to make an appointment ahead of time according to teachers’schedules. But for my part, there is close involvement in providing assistance for my friends both at home and in school At home, we can contact at any time, such as chat on some social applications to record the important points or start a video call to shorten the time we type. At school, we take a class in classrooms, prepare for final exams in libraries as well as have a rest in dormitories. As a result, if needing help, my friends can find me wherever and whenever. .Second, I, myself, is also a beneficiary. On the one hand, helping my friends gives me an opportunity to absorb knowledge in more direct and interesting ways. Solutions to math problems are good examples. Instead of reading about obscure concepts, we can see them presented in vivid method in various real-world examples. Instead of reading about complicated formulas, we can see how magically these formulas are applied to a range of problem-solving investigations. Throughout the duration of explaining the understanding of thequestions, I can review what I have learned and detect what I have neglected. On the other hand, it can be a helper for me to acquire essential learning skills. To be specific, while making real contributions to coping with these problems, I am actively learning how to organize, express and transfer which are indispensable for future study even for career life. Therefore, if my friends are struggling with complex problems while studying, I prefer offering help for them to advising them to find a tutor.托福写作高级形容词替换之褒义词1、重要的 importantvital ['va?t(?)l]She had found out some information of vital importance.她已经发现了一些至关重要的信。

Do you agree or disagree with following statement?
The government and the corporation should share all their scientific discoveries with other countries in the world?
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
参考答案:
There exists the perception that it is necessary for the government and the corporation to share all their scientific founding with other countries in the world. From my perspective, I completely disagree with this point of view.
First, certain discoveries have already cost too much money and work. It does not make sense to hand them over to others for free. For example, the USA government spent millions of dollar sending people to the moon. It took thousands scientists and specialists’hard work to create the spaceship that sent the astronauts thousands of miles away from Earth. The whole program cost Americans at least a decade before they could confidently send Neil Armstrong to the moon obit. Therefore, there is no way for Americans to give away the data they gain from Apollo program to Chinese, Russian, or the world.
Second, the government and the corporation sharing scientific discoveries with other countries may lose competitiveness. For example, Intel can manufacture the most powerful computer chip that can allow computers or smart phone to function as efficiently as possible. If it shares its discoveries about how to improve computer chips to Chinese companies, the Chinese may stop buying chips from Intel and Chinese will produce their own chips instead. Consequently, Intel will lose the Chinese market. Similarly, when Russians reveal the secret of powerful plane engines to Chinese, Chinese will have no interest buying Russian planes. Third, sharing scientific discoveries with rogue counties may endanger the world. For example, although many countries know how to make nuclear bomb, they all keep the secret to themselves not only because they all sign treaty to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapon but also they fear that some evil organization which gets their hands on nuclear weapon may use it to attack them. So, it is not
hard to understand why Americans will not share nuclear technology to countries such as North Korea or to organizations like Al Qaeda.
In conclusion, it is not advisable for the government and the corporation to share all scientific discoveries with other countries, because it will not cover their cost, they will lose their advantages, and revealing the discoveries to nefarious countries will lead to disasters.。
