While there aresome people who claim that this kind of launch is a waste of money or time because it could not bring any benefits for citizens, I hold a different opinion. From my perspective, space exploration is necessary.Admittedly, space travel or space exploration would waste a large sum of money. By spending much money on doing research regarding outer space life, government loses their focus on civil life where many people are suffering from starvation, air pollution and epidemics. Under this circumstance, there is no doubt that people would complain about government’s aloft behaviors. However,if viewing from a different angle, space exploration is a long time investment. Never should we expect the journey would bring immediate economic returns to the country. In this case, space travel and space exploration is quite helpful for the country. To begin with, space exploration might bring benefits for us to search for new energy resource. That is to say, other planets may be rich in certain kinds of resources that are in great shortage on the earth. According to the report released after the exploration to the Mars, the officials from NASA confirms that Mars contains a great volume of natural gas and iron. Moreover, engineers have also noticed that these resources on the planet are able to explore, and if they could solve the problem of long time transportation, these resources could be used on the earth. Consequently, the use of natural gas will not consume burning of petroleum and make our planet a better place to live in.In addition, space exploration aims to improve level of technology. In other words, it is the development of advanced technology that makes it possible to explore the outer space. It is usually the case that without the technology of launchingsatellite into the space, it is impossible for people to conduct research. As a result, scientists have to improved their knowledge in related areas so that they could guarantee the launch of these rockets, as well as satellites. Meanwhile, to ensure astronauts’safety in the outer space, scientists have to repeated work on their suits in order to keep astronauts away from radioactivity. Also, to fill with enough oxygen, scientists have to run encapsulation tests again and again. Only if these equipment are guaranteed can astronauts be safely working in the outer space. To sum up, the seemly useless space exploration would cost a large sum of money; however, this space activity could still bring benefits in both new energy searching and technology improvement. How Does Technology Impact Your Daily Life?Over the last two decades, our lives have been slowly taken over by technology. Take a moment to look around you. How many screens do you see? Did you include the one you’re reading this on?Our Wi-Fi-enabled gadgets have changed the way we work, play, and even raise our children. T oday’s offices would be unrecognizable to workers of the past thanks to the proliferation of emails, video conferencing, tablets, laptop computers, and other relatively recent innovations. Meanwhile, more and more of our personal time is influenced by our gadgets (OK, smart phones) with each passing day....The novelty of constant online connections and instant communication may have begun to wear thin for older generations, but the next wave of Americans have no suchqualms. Their tech-dependent lifestyles are already causing huge changes in both the professional and private spheres. The change may be inevitable…unless theWi-Fi cuts out, of course. Our Digitized Professional LivesAs many as 79% of employees now “work on virtual teams,”be it by email, online collaboration, messaging, video conferences, or some combination of any of the above. A 2013 Pew Research study found “94% of jobholders are Internet users.” This includes full-time, part-time, and freelance workers in technology companies, big corporations, and small businesses, who work in cities, the suburbs, rural America, and everywhere in between. For most of the last century, communicating professionally meant writing letters, sending faxes, or spending hours on the phone. Not anymore. Email is now theprimary means of communication in the modern workplace. We are communicating more, faster, and better than ever before. And employers have been reaping the benefits. A major report cited by British newspaper The Telegraph found that the incorporation of technology into the workplace has led to an “84% increase in productivity per hour for office workers since the 1970s.” The major influencers? Email, business software, and yes, even cell phones.Technology Gets PersonalWe don’t leave technology at the workplace. In fact, our private lives might beeven more tech-enabled than our professional lives. In the 1980s and 1990s, our televisions were often the height of our home technology. Some people had clunky personal computers, a Nintendo for the kids, and maybe even a telephone in their car(remember those?).Information from the Census Bureau tells us that 15% of homes had a personal computer in 1989; by 2011 that number climbed to 75%. Now we have desktop computers, laptops, smartphones, tablets, Apple watches, GPS-enabled cars, and more coming every day. Forget unplugging after the 5 or-6 o’clock whistle blows—we plug in instead. In fact, going without tech might trigger an existential crisis for some (that sound you hear is Albert Camus rolling over in his grave). Our technology helps us learn, date, eat, socialize, and so much more. The only time we don’t use technology is when we are exercising flying sleeping, well, dead. For now…A New Generation of Digital NativesAnyone born before the advent of technology in their daily lives is considered a“digital immigrant.”Older generations invented our tech-enabled society, but thegenerations born in this millennium are the first true “digital natives.”While the “digital rehab” programs older generations have begun using to push back against the all-consuming digital saturation are gaining traction, these programs may make as much sense to younger generations as getting up from the couch to change the channel on the TV. The genie is out of the bottle, and technology is said to have even changed the way younger generations perceive reality. We’re assuming they perceive reality as that thing happening just beyond the horizon of their laptop, tablet, or smartphone screen (as long as someone is tweeting about it). Although it’s easy to make fun of the next generation’s digital obsession, it will soon be impossible to ignore it. The digital natives are on pace to outnumber the digital immigrants beforelong. The Bottom LineTechnology is now so integrated with our lives that going without it can causesevere anxiety for some. It’s not hard to see why. Technology has taken over. Both our professional and personal lives are now technology dependent. While older generations are fighting back with unplugged retreats, the next wave of Americans can’t picture their lives without tech. They might not have anything to worry about. The future favors these digital natives.ETS官方托福作文满分范文:科技改变教育Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? With the help of technology, students nowadays can learn more information and learn it more quickly. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Topic: 39Technology has greatly improved the way we get information. Students can now get more information, get it more quickly, and get it more conveniently. The Internet and the World Wide Web has opened every major library and database to students around the world. Information comes not only in print form, but also in multimedia. You can get audio and video data. You can get information about events in the past as well as events that unfold as you watch your computer monitor.Information comes at the speed of the Internet which is to say in nanoseconds. ? You can type in a few key words in your search engine, and the engine will search the entire WWW to find information on your topic. You don't have to spend hours pouring over card catalogs in the library and looking at theshelves. This research is done for you instantly on the Web.It is certainly more convenient to sit at home and do research on your computer. Your computer is open 24-hours a day, unlike a library or office which has limited hours and limited resources. You can do research in your pajamas while you eat breakfast. What could be more convenient?Technology, especially the Internet, has certainly changed the quantity and quality of the information we get. The speed and convenience of a computer helps students learn more, more quickly. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Although science and technology will continue to improve, the most significant improvement for the quality of people's lives has already taken place. It has been argued that despite the continued advancement of science and technology, our lives have changed in a way that is more tremendous than ever. I, however, disagree.First, environmental problems are still on the waiting list. Technology-dominated industrialization has generated such problems as global warming, acid rain and urban smog, all of which have given rise to a series of adverse effects—climate change, death of aquatic life and respiratory diseases. Although the quality of life has improved, there are still many things that could be improved in China, like safety and living conditions. If the most significant transformation in living standards has taken place, how is it possible that ecocide is still a real and ever-present danger?Second, world peace still hangs by a thread. Take the Iraq War for example. It broke out eight years ago and since then Iraqis have been living in hell. Their homes are torched and destroyed and their families have been torn apart. It is certain that they have not received all the benefits of advanced technology. Superpowers are busy with nuclear experiments, but this advanced technology has brought anything but world peace. If the most significant transformation in living standards has taken place, how is it possible that some people on this planet are still in great agony?Last, the pace of life is increasingly faster and shows no sign of slowing down. Undoubtedly, development in IT industries and communication devices has enabled people to enjoy more convenient lives. However, it is also the seemingly almighty technologies that have put people in suffering. Wherever you go, cell phones make it possible for your boss to spot you and give you more work, whether you like it or not. Computers, which give companies the ability to teleconference and conduct online interviews, have turned our homes into a mere extension of our offices. If the most significant transformation in living standards has taken place, how is it possible that people now are still suffering from deprived sleep, unbalanced diet and strained family relations? All in all, science and technology have been and will continue to develop, but the fundamental transformation of our lives has not yet taken place.。

For any business to be successful, it must spend a lot of money on advertisin g. Businesses nowadays spend huge amounts of money on advertising their pro ducts. Is this a successful business strategy? I believe that it is.The most important reason is probably exposure. Most markets are completel y saturated with products—just walking down the toiletries aisle of a supermarket, you’ll see countless brands of toothpaste, toothbrush, and shampoo. In the cour se of walking through the aisle, you will probably notice less than a handful of bra nds, and of those brands, really only one or two are up for consideration. In order for a new company to catch your eye with their product, advertising is key. A com pany with a low advertising budget will not be able to create fancy packaging or i mpressive commercials, and this will negatively impact their ability to generate pr oduct awareness. No matter how good a product is, if nobody knows about it, it w ill not sell.Another function of advertising is to make consumers choose your product o ver the products of competitors. Regardless of whether it’s a good thing or bad t hing, the reality is that most people are easily swayed by advertising techniques lik e adorning ads with flashy graphics or milking celebrity endorsements. A high adv ertising budget can help ensure that your commercial has good production values and contains famous celebrities. These things have been demonstrated to dramat ically increase the appeal of products. Every time Yao Ming or Beyonce pops up o n TV with a can of Coke in their hand, they reinforce in our heads the idea that Co ke is a high-quality and desirable product. It guarantees that the next time you walk through the soda aisle, you will reach for the Coke instead of the generic brand soda.Of course, no amount of money spent on advertisement can save a product t hat is ultimately flawed. In order for advertising to work long-term, a product has t o be at least acceptable in terms of quality. However, when choosing between co mparable products, advertising is often key in nudging your preferences one way or the other. Most people like the taste of Coke, but seeing Yao Ming’s face on t he can might make people like it just enough to choose Coke over Pepsi. Thus, for companies with similar products in a packed market, spending a lot on advertisin g is crucial to achieving success.Advertising serves two important functions: First, it exposes people to your pr oduct, and second, it tells people to choose your product over competing ones. T hough doing these things may not make an inferior product successful, for most a cceptable products, large advertising budgets are an absolute necessity.。

Please explain your reasons and details in your response.锛堝垎鏁帮細20.00锛?/div>__________________________________________________________________________________________ 姝g‘绛旀锛?topic As far as I'm concerned, making notes in class means wasting of time, and what you should do is listening intently to the lecturer. reason 1 Firstly, making notes is undoubtedly time consuming. The only thing it tests is your writing speed rather than your intellectual capability. In fact. we learn because we want to stimulate our minds, not to mechanically copy from what others have written down. reason 2 Secondly, learning is a course of interaction, you learn something from the teachers, and only by thinking can it become your own knowledge. So our attention should be directed towards the lecturers, and discuss with them when we meet Some questions, and the class time should be spent on understanding the materials rather than writing everything down without any thought. In the latter way, you actually don't acquire anything from the class. This is just the difference between a good student, and a great student. conclusion So I insist spend little time making notes in class.)瑙f瀽锛?/div>鍥涖€亄{B}}Speaking Question 3{{/B}}(鎬婚鏁帮細1锛屽垎鏁帮細20.00)3.A Proposal from a StudentThe most essential dorm accessories may be the kitchen supplies. Dining halls are only open during certain hours of the day, which can be inconvenient when students need a late-afternoon snack or something to fuel an all-night study session. Therefore, a student has suggested adding a kitchen to the student dormitory, so that students would be able to cookregular meals and practice their cooking. The students could then prepare healthy food instead of relying on snacks or canned foods. There is ample room in a durra kitchen and the space should be used for right purpose. Now hear a conversation about the same topic. The man expresses his opinion of the proposal about adding kitchen to the dormitory, State his opinion and explain the reasons he gives for holding that opinion.锛堝垎鏁帮細20.00锛?/div>__________________________________________________________________________________________ 姝g‘绛旀锛?opinion The man does not agree to add a kitchen to the student dormitory. reason 1 One reason is that the place of dorm room is limited if students want to have some activities after class, such as watching TV or holding theme parties, so there would be no more room left for a kitchen in the dormitory. reason 2 The other reason is that as students they are so busy with their class assignments, they don't have any time to cook at all. Besides, some of them don't have the basic cooking skills. So learning to cook from a recipe book seems rather a waste of time.) W: Hi, look. I think the school will be right if they follow this proposal. M: You really think so? I don't like it. Look, in the dorm room students should do all the activities except cooking, because recreational activities like holding parties, watching TV or films and etc can bring students invariably creative, inclusive and amazing fun, especially after having spent a whole day on their studies. Therefore, I believe the school should keep kitchens out of dormitories and leave more space for entertainment. W: That is true. In addition to full time study during the day, we all should have some fun and slow down. M: That's right! Our schedules are always fully packed with assignments, seminars, exams, or even part-time jobs. So making ourselves regular meals every day is something impossible for us. Also, some students don't know how to cook, and learning to cook from a recipe book will definitely consume a lot of time they would otherwise spend on their studies. W: That's right. Many students even never consider cooking in their dorm room. Eating in school's cafeteria is easy and can save them a lot of time. M: Absolutely! 浜斻€亄{B}}Speaking Question 4{{/B}}(鎬婚鏁帮細1锛屽垎鏁帮細20.00)4.Animal CommunicationCommunication is a process by which meaning is shared among living creatures. Animals communicate by combining multiple signals, like movements or sounds, in order to convey meaning. Though animal species cannot speak like human beings, they rely on a combination of movements or actions to make their intentions known. Examples of these include elaborate mating rituals, territorial dances, and various calls. By analyzing the bizarre patterns of animal behaviors, we can endeavor to understand them better. Now hear a talk on the same subject.Using examples from the reading and the lecture, explain how animals communicate by combining movements or actions.锛堝垎鏁帮細20.00锛?/div>__________________________________________________________________________________________ 姝g‘绛旀锛?topic (reading) The reading is on the topic of animal communication. Though animals cannot speak a language as we do, they have their own methods to express meanings, that's by a mixture of certain movements and sounds. The professor sets how his own dog acts in two different situations as an example. example 1 First, if some unpleasant noises like atruck or a lawnmower annoys him, he will immediately run toward the noise, with his ears standing up. example 2 However, when he wants to play with another dog, you'll also see his ears bristling. But in such case he also wags his tail. What he wants to means is that he is happy. So the meaning of the same motion changes with different environments owing to combining of various signals in communication..) M: Animal communication is simple, but sometimes one action can have two different meanings depending on the context. That's why it's important to read behaviors as a combination of signals. Let me give you an example. We all know that dogs are very expressive animals. In fact, dogs put many motions together to convey a feeling. Take my own dog as an example. Under two different circumstances he will exhibit the same behaviors. Only by taking his actions in combination can you understand what he is trying to express. My dog hates loud noises so when the garbage truck comes by our house or if our neighbors mow their lawns, his ears will stand up. In addition, he will run toward the noise and start barking. This means that he is agitated or angry. Now you might think that his ears standing up means he's angry., But his ears also stand up when he sees the neighbor's dog. This isn't because he is angry or irritated, but because he is happy. How can I tell? Well, he gets very excited and wags his tail vigorously when he wants to play with another dog. So this is an example of why we should view communication as a combination of behaviors. Sometimes, the same movements can mean two different things in two different contexts.鍏€亄{B}}Speaking Question 5{{/B}}(鎬婚鏁帮細1锛屽垎鏁帮細20.00)5.The speaking discusses two possible solutions to the man's problem. Describe the problem and the two solutions. Then state which of the two solutions you prefer and explain why.锛堝垎鏁帮細20.00锛?/div>__________________________________________________________________________________________ 姝g‘绛旀锛?problem The man is in a trouble of publishing his article in the school newspaper. He had planned to attach some photos to the newspaper. But soon he found that these pictures were not developed properly and he could do nothing on it. solutions The woman gives him two possible options. He can publish the article without any pictures attached to the newspaper or take the place of such photos with new ones. best solution For me, the latter one may be better. reasons Because newspapers with more colorful and meaningful images will undoubtedly interest readers. So removing the pictures from the article would make it seem so sterile. Instead, the man can replace them with some new photos since there is still one day left before the deadline.) W: Hello, dear. I haven't seen you since our seminar last week. How is everything going? M: I am fine. My article is about to be published on our school newspaper. W: Oh, that's great! But...you don't look very happy. What's going on? M: Some pictures I was supposed to attach to the newspaper have run into a little problem. I mean the photos developed are not clear. But the worst thing is that no one seems to know how to clean up and make them look perfect. W: Why not just publish the article without any pictures? M: No, I really can't do this because images are greatly required in order to capture students' attention to my article. Typically, younger readers like college students spend less time reading the newspaper than older readers. They would respond more favorably to interesting and informative pictures engaged in a story than to the scenario alone. So we need pictures to attract students to our newspaper. W: Yes, that makes sense to me. Magazines with more entertaining and colorful graphics usually attract a lot of young readers. So how much time is left before your article is published in the newspaper? M: I guess I have just one day left. W: Okay. Why don't you take some new pictures since youstill have some time? M: Maybe you're right! But there's only one day away from the scheduled day. Isn't it too late to take new pictures?涓冦€亄{B}}Speaking Question 6{{/B}}(鎬婚鏁帮細1锛屽垎鏁帮細20.00)ing points and examples from the talk, explain two strategies the professor gives for getting students to follow rules.锛堝垎鏁帮細20.00锛?/div>__________________________________________________________________________________________ 姝g‘绛旀锛?topic The professor gives two advices on how to have students followed rules set down by a teacher. example 1 First of all, the teacher should explain the rule asclearly as he can. When the professor was teaching first grade, she forbade students to eat and drink in class. Such rule is certainly unpopular and most students contract the rule at first. However, the students began to follow it when they had known such rule was laid clown to help them focus their attention and study better through her detailed explanation. example 2 The second approach is to have the students built up a personal relationship on the rule. The professor prevented her students from cheating by having them signed a piece of paper in which they promised they would not cheat in the exam, With such paper posted in the front of the room by the teacher, the students would not even try to cheat in the exam because of their self-respect,)瑙f瀽锛歔鍚姏鍘熸枃] W: Teachers have one of the toughest and most important jobs; therefore, it is critical to every nation's future to train good teachers. One key to being a good teacher is to set rules and boundaries for your students. But how do you get students to follow these rules? Here are two strategies you can employ. Firstly, it is important to explain the rule and why you are making it. Believe it or not, I used to teach at an elementary school. People don't like to be forced to do something, especially young children who think that teachers want to prevent them from having fun. So it's important to make them understand why a rule is in their best interest. Back when I was teaching first grade, I had a rule that prohibited eating or drinking in my class. In the beginning, lots of students didn't like it. But I explained that the rule was for their benefit. I didn't want them to be distracted by food during class or make a mess, which would interfere with their studies. After I told them my reasoning, my students began to follow the rule because they realized, it was for their own good. Another strategy is to make the students have a personal stake in the rule. Again, back in my elementary school days, I was very strict about cheating. But I didn't just have all the students say they will not cheat. Instead, I wrote a piece of paper saying that cheating was forbidden and made all the students sign it. I then posted it in the front of the class where everyone could see it. Because the students had made a promise using their names, their pride made it easier to uphold that promise. If they thought about cheating, they could see everyone's signatures in the front of the room and be reminded of how they should act.。

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The most important investment for a companyis to spend money on improving the work skillsof its employees.

TASK1A friend of yours is afraid of speaking in front of other people, what suggestion do you have?(你的朋友人前讲话总是恐惧,你有啥好的建议不 )这道题目看似话题新颖,不过咱来分析一下,其实本题的适用答题方向非常多,首先呢,思考几个问题:a) Why do you think he is afraid of speaking in front of others?你觉得他为啥会害怕呢?b) What method might help him strengthen this weakness? 他需要克服的话,可以用啥方案?c) How do you think it might help?

那好,来,咱组织一下答案:Assertion:根据我自己的经验啊,我想给他俩建议~(According to my own experience, I wanna give him two suggestions to help him overcome this problem.)Reason 1:多创造一些机会和他人进行接触、沟通、交流。

It loses money on some routes.2. It is unfair to privately owned companies such as airlines because they have reduced the price in order to compete with the government.3. People drive cars more often and do not like to take the Amtrak. These reasons are unconvincing.1. The main purpose of Amtrak is not to earn money but to facilitate the transportation of the rural areas. People in these areas have the same right as those living in places that have accessible transportation routes.2. The government has already supported the airlines, eg, building the airline transportation control towers and offices.3. People do not like taking Amtrak because it is outdated, if the government invests in improving it, it will be more favorable and more people will take it. The professor gives examples of Japan and Europe, they invest a lot in high-speed rail lines and make it comfortable and fast, and thus people take this a lot and leave the cars at home. Do you agree or disagree with the followingstatement?Nowadays it is not important for people tohave meals with families regularly.

1. The spear points in North America have same shape as those in Europe;2. The bone skull in North America more resembles that in Europe rather than in Asia;3. The voyage from Europe to North America was easier than now;听力逐一反驳:1. The spear points may be developed independently. Since both inhabitants in North America and Europe were exposed to large mammals. They need the weapon to hunt them down. When Asian moved to North America, they made those point spears to protect themselves when they encounter large mammals.2. This statement is less convincing. The skull they found is just an odd case. There is only one bone that seems like European. And there is no other remain shares the same shape of that bone.3. There was no boat or fish web in the remains of European site which indicates that they have no experience in sea travel. And also the voyage to North America is long and dangerous. There is no chance for them surviving the journey. Do you agree or disagree with the followingstatement?People often buy products not because theyreally need them, but because other peoplehave them.
