get可以是及物动词或不及物动词,意为:使(自己)变得,变成;收到,获得,得到,取得;生病,得病;拥有;必须

常用的词组有:

1. get across 使被了解,使讲清楚

The speaker felt embarrassed because he failed to get his joke across to the crowd.
