一、英语专业四级口试概况1.要求:《高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲》对英语专业四级口语的要求是:“能在一般社交场合与英语国家人士交谈,做到正确表达思想,语音、语调自然,无重大语法错误,语言基本得体。

”2.形式:英语专业四级口试的设计形式有两种:录音口试和面试。

前者不需要考官和考生见面,而后者需要考官和考生直接见面。

目前,根据我国高校的实际情况,主要采用录音口试的形式。

所以,本讲座主要讲述专四录音口试。

3.时间和地点:全国英语专业四级录音口试的时间定于每年英语专业四级笔试以后的一个星期举行。

口试由考生所在高校的教务部门组织在语音室进行。

2.一定要根据自己的考号和在第三项中所扮演的角色,对号入座。

如有差错,一定要向监考教师报告。

3.按照录音磁带上的要求,逐项完成任务。

每项任务都有规定的准备时间和讲话时间。

讲话时不要担心时间不够,因为讲不完不会影响口试成绩。

4.不得擅自提前将订好的第三项考题内容拆开。

准备对话时不得和其他人讲话。

如违反上述要求,一律视为作弊行为。

5.录音时,声音高低要适当控制。

1.1 复述测试方法现在采用的复述测试方法是先听录音,听完录音后立即对所听内容进行复述。

具体的操作方法是选择一篇300字左右的短文,按照正常的语速,即每分钟150字,播放两遍录音,考生在听的同时允许做笔记,两遍录音结束之后考生要立即对听到的短文进行复述,期间没有准备的时间。

复述时间为3分钟。

虽然口语测试所选文章不长,难度也不大,但是要完全记忆下来很难,这就需要考生具备“理解——加工——生成”系列技能。

1.3.1理解由于复述测试采用的是先听后说,所以对于文章的理解主要就取决于考生的听力能力,很多同学认为口语既然是说的,跟听力关系不大,实则不然。

试想一下,就拿母语来说,如果你总是听不懂别人说话,你又如何与之进行正常的交谈?所以听和说是息息相关,相辅相成,同时进行的。

听力,作为语言学习中一项重要的接收技能,必须在长期的听力练习和语言实践中培养和提高。

下面是一些提高听力的技巧与具体做法。

第一,选择合适的听力材料,制定一个循序渐进的练习计划。

听力练习应该遵循“由易到难,由慢到快”这样一个规律。

第二,安排合理的练习时间。

第三,精听与泛听相结合。

由于用作复述的文章体裁都是记叙文,所以建议大家采用以下几个步骤:第一步,记下关键词,然后串词成句,再联句成篇。

比如2010年口语考试的复述文章,讲述的是一个八岁的小女孩以自己的爱心和坚定信念说服外科医生为自己患病的弟弟做手术的事情。

大家在听第一遍时可以先简单记下文章当中牵涉的人物:Michelle, her ill brother, a surgeon,主要的事物:expensive operation。

借助这些人物和事物可以对短文的大概内容(main idea)有一个初步的认识。

听第二遍时,记下主要的一些情节,在复述时将这些情节用自己的话串起来就是一篇完整的故事了。

She heard Mom and Dad talking about her brother Jack.Jack was ill and only an expensive operation could save him.But they were very poor, and no one would lend money to them.Daddy said to Mom, “Only a miracle can save him.”She went to her room and took all her money out and counted it three times and slipped out to the drugstore.She told the pharmacist, “My brother is ill and I want buy a miracle.”The pharmacist said, “Sorry, I can’t help you.”Michelle said she could pay for the miracle.A well-dressed man came and said, “I am selling the miracle. She knew the price of a miracle is one dollar eleven cents plus a child’s faith.做笔记过程中,同学们应该注意的问题是不需要写下完整的句子,而只需要记录下句子当中的一些透露关键信息的字词,而在最终形成口头表达时根据短期记忆储存的信息对这些词组进行扩充和再加工,把缺省的句子成分补充上去。

第二步,巧妙运用信号词。

信号词就是用来表示句子之间关联的一些常用副词或连词。

常用的信号词按功能分有以下这些:1.用以解释的信号词:now, in addition, for, in this case, in fact, in other words, that is to say2.表示强调的信号词:certainly, indeed, above all, most important3.表示转折的信号词:but, however, although, yet, except for4.用以举例的信号词:for example, for instance, such as, next5.表示递进或补充的信号词:in addition, furthermore, also, moreover, yet6.表达顺序的信号词:first, in the first place, second, third, finally, eventually, later, then7.用以表述结果的信号词:therefore, as a result, consequently, then, thereby, therefore, thus, hence, accordingly, so, otherwise8.用以表示总结的信号词:to sum up, finally, in conclusion, at last, in a word使用信号词一来可以帮助自己理清思路,二来可以为后文阐述争取时间。
