1.To read about the successful development of a famous band “The Monkees”

and enable the Ss to know their success lies in their hard work and unique style of performance.

2.To develop the reading skills of skimming and scanning to understand the

reading material.

1.Introduce the topic of music and bands.

2.Introduce “The Monkees”.

The passage is about the successful development of a famous band “ the Monkees”.
