1．What do you think is the most serious challenge of living in a big city?
In my opinion, living in a big city means traffic jam, air and noise pollution, higher price, population explosion, security problem, severe competition and so on. I think the most serious challenge may be the air pollution. In fact the effects of air pollution on living conditions have been a disturbing problem for many years. What made us feel relieved is that there’s growing concern about the problem now. 2．Say something about the impact of horror films on young children.
As far as I can see, everything like that the coin has two sides, so are horror films. Horror films have both the positive and negative impact on young children. Because of the rich imagination of horror films, kids who always watch them would have more curiosity on the world and human beings. And it results that children who always watch horror films own their spirit of exploration and the consciousness of innovation. And to these who like it, watching horror films is an interesting adventure. While horror films might be nightmares for a timid child, and these films may make him or her more timid. Even worse, these children will be afraid to trying unfamiliar thing. And the worse situation is that horror films may lead to psychological illness. So the conclusion is that if children love horror films they can be admitted to watch them, if children don’t like, don’t force them to watch.
3．What factors influence you most in your choice of a job?
The first one must be interest. No matter what kind of job it is, I like to do something challenging and full of potential for further development. Potential for development is my second consideration. So that I can have more opportunity to learn something and improve myself. Pay is the third one in
choosing a job. Without money, I can’t do what I want to do. I will choose a job by which I can earn enough money to support my family. Besides working condition and atmosphere could also affect my final decision.
4．How would you prepare for a job interview?
For us, the interview is the most difficult part of the job search process. I think there are four things we should prepare. First, I will make a good "Resume". As we know, the first impression is very important, and the resume is a kind of introduction of us. The employers will firstly know us from it. Second, I will visit its website to search information about the company. I may search other news about the company from other website. Third, if I can, I will ask somebody who works in that company about the boss or manager. Fourth, in the day of interview. I will be relax myself during the interview. Wear a suit that looks great on me and makes me feel great. Knowing where to go ahead of time and how long it will take to get there so that I can be there on time.

I think it is a definitely yes. Living in the same city where my parents live will be beneficial to both of us. We can take good care of them when they want us as they grow older, while they can also offer help to us when I have a baby. We can enjoy the happiness of a bigger family. 6．Some people say that we live in a TV culture. Do you agree? Give your reasons for your answer.
I partly agree with this view. On one side, TV actually interact our lifestyle as well as our families’ everyday life. We have been already accustomed to open TV and sat at the sofa when we arrive home. It helps us
drive away loneliness and sometimes help us fall asleep. We are not always focus on what they say in it, but the commercial advertisement influence our mind in some degree. It is hardly to avoid to buying television advertising products if we found them in supermarket shelves. However in the other side, TV era had been a past time. We have moved into a internet period. It is no wonder that we younger people now live in a internet culture. TV culture and its affect are slowly disappear. Although TV and internet have many similarities in their form of cultural communication, they are actually two different kind of cultures. Obviously, the latter is more developed. So I just partly agree with the opinion that we live in a TV culture.
10．Do you think it’s possible to remove all commercials from TV? Your reasons for your choice.
With the continuous development of TV culture，the commercials play a more important role in the TV programs. While turning on the TV, we can see all kinds of commercials. About the topic about whether it is possible to remove all commercials from TV, in my opinion, it is impossible to remove all commercials from TV. First of all, The operation of television need the financial support that the advertisers provided, which can make the TV programs have much market competitiveness. The second, the commercials is a kind of medium. Though the commercials, people can know more things and though the propaganda of the commercials, people would buy more goods that the commercials mentioned, which can promotes the economic growth. Last but not the least, watching the commercials can adjust people‟s mood. So the Television is no longer monotonous. In conclusion, commercials is an indispensable part of TV.
7．Do you think private cars should be encouraged?
With the development of economy, more and more people purchase private cars. However, I think the private cars should not be encouraged, especially in our country. For one thing, the increasing cars frequently cause the traffic jam. Traffic jam has already become a critical society problem in many metropolises like Beijing. People take long time on the way to their destination. Even some scientific research shows that taking over 45 minutes on the way home will boost the divorce rate. For another thing, pollution is also a very important problem in our society. Governments have taken measures to protect our environment, but it gets little achievements. Private cars, in my opinion, may lead to more serious pollution. So in this aspect, private cars should not be encouraged. With the reasons above mentioned, I consider that private cars should not be encouraged.
8．Why do you think some Western countries encourage people to ride bicycles?
There are many benefits to riding bicycle. As for benefits to environment, bicycles require no gas, they are eco-friendly. They do not cause pollution to be blown into the air nor do they release harmful toxins that may potentially cause health problems. Riding a bike also offers many health benefits, such as lose weight, shape muscles, improve heart and lung function. And it’s a great way to relieve stress from daily work. These all benefits can make you happier and healthier.
According to the latest statistics, a growing number of western countries encourage people to ride bicycles. Some countries even require civil servants do not drive a car, and ride a bicycle .What on earth leads to this phenomenon? I summarized three simple causes as follow: in the first place, they are cheaper, and they are easier to handle. In addition, they are more convenient than any other transports. In the second place, compared
with cars, bicycles produce no harmful gases at all. They are 100% pollution free and will never pollute our living conditions. So, from the environment's point of view, many countries hope that there would be more people ride bicycles. I think this is the main reason for this phenomenon. Last but not the least, riding bicycle does good to the peoples' health. In a word, riding a bike can bring numbers of benefits, so western countries encourage people to ride bicycles.
9．Why do you think so many people prefer to immigrate to the United States of America?
According to the latest survey, among the people who have trans migrant intent in the world, there are about a quarter want to immigrate to the United States of America. Why America is so attractive to the immigrant? I summarized three simple causes as follow: First of all, for many people, The United States is a fantastic country. The economic development in America is in the high level. It can provide people with more comprehensive
insurance, for instance, the medical insurance, the unemployment insurance and so on. This can make people have a more stable living environment. what‟s more, from the perspective of providing a better education for their children, many parents want to immigrate to the America, The key is that America has the first-class level school. The second, The United States can provide with more employment opportunities for people. Many young people thinks that they can fully use their talent to get a better job and a better life in the USA. Last but not the least, The United States is a united country, there were several waves of immigration into the USA, which makes the people of different races can live in harmony. 19．Do you think the immigration trend to USA is as popular as it was before? Yes, I think so. As we all know, USA is the richest country in the world. Most people want to pursue a better life in USA, so they choose to immigrate to there. as the America’s economy is reviving, people who
want to find better jobs or business opportunities will rush to USA. There are also other reasons. For example, if some regions are in a war, rich people will choose to immigrate to safer place, and America must be the first choice. For another example, as America’s medical condition improves much in recent years, people who don’t get treatment in their own country may immigrate to USA. So I think the immigration trend to USA is much popular than before.
11．It is said that successful people have better language ability than those who are less successful. Please comment.
To some extent, this opinion is justified because high level of language ability could contribute to one’s success indeed both in life and in study. And in turn, successful people obtain more precious opportunities to improve their language skills. Therefore, experienced, decisive and confidence create more opportunities for greater achievement. This is virtuous cycle. However, factors promoting success are various except for language ability. And it is not certain to hold the view that the frustrated can’t grasp a brilliant language. For example, Stephan Hawking, a global famous mathematician, physicist, is no doubted one of the greatest figures, but he has been loss of language skills when he was young. Comparatively, there are such people that they couldn’t get the opportunity to express themselves in which field they may be outstanding though have a gift for language. In a word, to my way of thinking, the argument is partly true.
17．Do you think people’s ability in language is important? Why or why
not?
Yeah, I think so. Language is an important tool for communication. We must learn our native language well so that we can live and work easily in our own country. We should also try to master a second language, such as English. Because English is often used in international conferences、businesses and so on ,it will be very helpful in our career if we can use it fluently. Personally, if a person have a strong ability in language, others will think that person must be smart and have a quick mind, and it helps to improve personal charm.
18．Comment on the role of Chinese language in international communication.
English is regarded as an international language in international communication, however, with the economic rise of China, Chinese culture plays a increasingly important role in communication all over the world. Chinese is one of the six working languages in the United Nations, as well as，there are many Confucius institute is being built all over the world, which fully embodies its influence . To some extent, it acts a role in the transmission of national culture. First of all, as a big country that occupies one fifth of the world's population, everyone is a member of Chinese media. Language communication can make people knew more about extensive and profound Chinese, and understand that Chinese contains the splendid culture of ancient China. The second, Chinese produced a deep influence language of surrounding country, such as, Korea, Japan. I think there are two main reasons to this phenomenon。

On one hand, the external factor play a role, such as politics, economy, culture, military factors. First, in history, the United Kingdom had been the hegemon for a long time, and English became trade language that is widely used. Second, the American English has a big promotion after world war ii, since then，English has established international status. America rely on its popular culture and the power of media market, promoting American English go to the world successfully. In addition, compared with other cultures, British and American cultural values encourage innovation, and can tolerant different cultural values. on the other hand, the unique advantages of English is obvious . First of all, English with all Indo-European language. To oriental, English may be difficult, but for Western Europe, Russia, it may not be so difficult to learning English, because they will find that English grammar and vocabulary is similar with their mother tongue. In addition, the English also has diversity, flexibility and adaptability. English vocabulary is one of largest language in the world, there are at least 500000 words, but the user can communicate effectively in English as long as grasp 1000 to 2000 basic English words. With the development of economy and society, people would like to pay more attention and money to their hobbies，so as to enrich life, enhance the life quality and make our life more interesting and wonderful. For example, I have a lot of hobbies. I like stamp collecting and it teaches me a lot about cultures. I like music and it relaxes my nerves. I love
many kinds of sports. They can refresh my mind and do good to my body. I like reading books which can enrich my knowledge. I like traveling too. I can make friends and see the scenery and learn some culture. I think it is reasonable and worthwhile for us to properly balance between work and rest. Life is limited, so it is necessary for us to decide what we want to do. Money couldn’t buy health and happiness contrary to the popular view in many people’s mind. Yet, our hobbies could bring relaxation and colorful experience which money couldn’t directly give us. So why not do it? Of course, there are some hypocrites who spend huge capital on their so-called “hobbies”follow the crowd to show themselves off and camouflage elegance. In conclusion, a reasonable consumption should be based on the real interest rather than other grandiose reason. I don’t think so. Sometimes a hobby will affect our studies, but sometimes a hobby will be helpful for studies. For one thing, it depends on how deep we are addicted to our hobby. In many cases, a hobby can regulate our mood and thinking. It helps us relax，thus we at our best when learning. For another, our hobby may combine with our studies. It can offer us a new perspective and a different way of thinking. For instance, if your hobby was watching movie, you could interpret literature in movie perspective. Our hobby even helps us to find a new field about our study. In a word, if we weren’t excessively addicted to a hobby, it would not affect our study, and would be helpful.
14．Do you think the moral standards of a person will affect his or her future career? Please comment.
In my opinion, the moral standards affect the development of a person …s future
career. First, the increasing companies regard moral standard as the primary standards in the process of interview. A person lacking basic moral character, will not be able to carry out their own careers. Second, with the increasing competition, the spirit of cooperation is also constantly being stressed. A person have good moral qualities are more likely to get approval so that it can be better integrated into the organization, and made great progress and success. Finally, virtuous people are willing to devote their time, labor to their careers. In summary, the moral level would affect a person 's career. 15．Comment on the impact of one-child policy of Chinese government on the growth of children.
One-child policy have a larger impact on the children. On one hand, only child become apple of their parents‟ eyes. It is good for them to have a favorable surrounding and receive better education, which can preferably develop their talent. On the other hand, it might overprotect and spoiled them. As a result, they may form an negative personality, such as solitary, self closing, naughty, and self-centered or else. What‟s more, because they are used to live a rich and comfortable life, they will become too fragile to undergo hardships. In addition, the more expectation of their parents, the more study burdens and pressure they have to take; excessively emphasis on intellectual development, lose sight of moral cultivating, so that much more likely to be a kind of person that lack of sense of responsibility. 16．What kind of qualifications do you think a person should possess to be a successful manager?
I think there are four qualifications which is the most important if someone want to be a successful manager. the first is leadership skills. A good leader is a person that is a well-respected by his/her peers.
A good leader encourages others to do well. A good leader does not dominate others and do not try to belittle others. The second qualification is to listen. As a manager you will be faced with a number of problems and your employees need you to listen to them to know that you are going to try and do something about all those problems. The third is Problem-solve. If you cannot solve a simple problem or at least come up with a few solutions for a problem, they will start to lose faith in your ability to be a manager. The fourth is to have a vision. You need to have a vision that you can clearly communicate with others, you can Plan for the future growth of the company and clearly show people how you achieve the goal.
