Welcome Class of 2023, our new longhorns!《2019-2020 UTCSSA 新生手册》（奥斯汀留学生活指南）终于和大家见面啦！本次的修订由行政部独家完成，在内容上做了优化和更新，在排版上也做了大幅调整（感谢宣传部）。

生活指南----给初到Boston的Harvard新生（2008版）欢迎大家来到Boston。
这份生活指南面向初到Boston的Harvard新生，根据中国籍Harvard学生的亲身体验而编写，实用性、针对性强。
由于Harvard分为Harvard Square附近的主校区和Longwood（HMS、HSPH、HSDM）分校区，所以文中在某些方面对两处进行分别介绍。
从国内携带物品一般而言大家从国内带生活用品主要是考虑美国的东西价格高或者是用得不舒服。
前一个因素当大家领到Stipend并摆脱x7的习惯后就释怀了；后一个因素么所谓入乡随俗，美国的生活质量该不逊于中国吧。
我们的体会是可以带齐刚来三四天内所需的各项用品，但没有必要携带并囤积一年所用的东西。
以下就所携带物品的轻重缓急分四类介绍。
1．必须带的（Boston难买或者是刚来急用来不及买的）：美元：在领到第一个月的Stipend前需自己支付生活费。
一般而言每天的伙食可控制在20元内，至于日用品消费则因人而异。
就价格水平而言，1元人民币在国内大城市的购买力大致相当于0.5美元在这儿的购买力。
衣物、鞋（拖鞋）：Boston冬季与北京差不多冷，但积雪较厚。
户外羽绒服加一件毛衣可御寒，户内有暖气。
夏天的衣裤多带些，如可以机洗的衬衫、T恤、袜子等。
正装准备一套即可，穿的机会很少。
旅行装洗漱、洗浴用品。
女生可准备一些头绳发饰，这里很贵且不好看。
微波炉用具、筷子等少量餐具、水杯：这边多数微波炉用具只能短时加热，长时加热烹调会产生有毒物质抗生素、感冒药、发烧药等常用药品。
怕冻的同学可带一些防冻伤的药品，冬天这边室外很冷。
定时器（手表或闹钟）变压器和转换插座（如果所带电器的规格与美国不通用）少量方便面或干粮：由于到波士顿一般是午夜，飞机上又吃不饱，刚来也不熟悉，所以可在托运的行李中带一两包方便面以充饥。
水果肉类等新鲜食物原则上是不能带上飞机的。
薄毯子、被子、枕头、床单等床上用品（如果租用的房间不配套提供或嫌不干净的话）雨具：Boston多雨雪，尤其是冬天，风也较大。

2021英国留学新生入学手册去英国留学，新生需要提前做好功课，保证自己的留学入学能够顺利，需要保证对各项流程都熟悉。
下面和来一起看看2021英国留学新生入学手册。
到英国之后首要的任务是先安顿下来，前往英国的留学生可以选择校园宿舍、寄宿家庭以及校外租房。
选择入住校园宿舍的学生如果没有拿到学生证，就需要拿着护照、无条件录取通知书到宿舍接待处办理入住，办理流程一般是签署合同、交定金等。
如果自己租房就需要考虑租房周边环境、距离学校远近等因素，在与房东签订合同的时候要看好相关条款，注意保护好自身的合法利益。
如果选择寄宿家庭一定要交流下双方的生活起居的习惯。
学校注册一般会有详细的说明，学校的志愿者会带领新生办理注册事宜。
所需携带的注册材料包括上一级的学历学位证书、护照、无条件录取通知书等。
学生证上面的照片会使用当场照相后的成片，因为学生证会在留学期间陪伴着同学们，所以大家前去拍照的时候可以适当打扮一点哦。
办理BRP也是相当重要的，这个相当于同学们在英国学习生活的身份证。
领取BRP卡需要携带的材料包括贴有英国短期入境签证的有效护照，或其他旅行证明文件，还有收到的签证确认函或说明信。
另外只要年龄超过16周岁，且在英国居住六个月以上的留学生在抵达英国后的一周内去当地警察局注册，有的大学也可以统一组织办理。
监察局注册所需材料有护照、签证的原件及复印件、两张护照规格的证件照、学校的无条件录取通知书、租房合同或地址证明、现金、Home office要求去警察局注册的信件原件、注册申请表。
如果搬家或者换学校就一定要亲自去警局更改信息，另外不要忘记第一时间联系中国驻英大使馆及时备注登记相关信息。
还有注册英国的NHS所需资料包括护照和无条件入学的录取通知信、申请表格、住址证明等。
一、英国留学购物：在英国安顿好住宿点之后首要的就是去购置一些生活用品了，英国的大型超市有 Marks & Spencer、Sainsbury’s、Tesco等等，英国会针对不同的经济群体设立了高端、中端、以及平价这不同级别的超市类型，大家可以根据自身的经济情况进行选择。

DAAD中国学生赴德留学常识百问8第八部分:学费问题、生活费用、假期打工、住宿问题86.德国大学收取学费吗？德国的大学绝大部分均系公立性质，由联邦政府拨款办学，按现行规定无论对德国学生还是外国学生一律免收学费。
但学生每学期须交纳注册费约50马克，福利费约100马克。
柏林和巴符州的大学还收管理费100马克。
有的新型大学和个别特殊专业项目，如IMBA, Eurobi MBA,Quadronational MBA等，因教学计划中安排1 - 2个学期到国外（如美国、英国、欧盟其他国家等）的合作伙伴大学学习，所以必须支付一定的学费。
申请此类专业应事先向有关大学索取资料。
87.在德国读大学每月大约需要多少生活费用？德国大学生每月的生活费用大约是1,000 - 1,400 马克。
中国学生的平均月支出从总体来看略低于这个水平，因所在的地区和所学的专业不同，大约在 1,000 马克左右。
其中包括房租（学生宿舍）、伙食费、医疗保险费、福利费（Sozialgebühren）、注册费、学期优惠乘车票（Semesterticket）、书籍、文具、生活用品以及零用等。
88.德国有私立大学吗？收费如何？德国有30多所私立大学，主要是经济管理专业，其宗旨是为企业培养管理和领导人才。
私立大学学费标准不等，但一般均相当昂贵。
89.在德国允许外国学生打工吗？可否作为“经济来源”？按有关规定，在公立大学正式注册的学生（包括外国学生）可以利用寒、暑假部分时间打工,挣得一些收入作为生活费用的补充。
外国学生事先必须在有关部门办理手续，领取许可证。
但初到德国需要大量时间和精力安排学习和生活，有的学生还须在短期内通过DSH，这时打工会顾此失彼，对学习非常不利，是不可取的。
由于种种原因，现在许多城市往往在假期不能及时或根本不能找到工作，故不可将打工收入作为维持正常学习和生活的经济来源。
另外，有的学生只顾打工挣钱而荒废了学业，得不偿失，结果如饮鸩止渴，后悔已晚。

以上这些东西关系到你在大学期间的奖助学金。对于经济困难的同学，学校一般会给予照顾，比如提供助学贷款、勤工俭学等机会。
简而言之，大学班级是一个相对松散的集体，所以在与班级同学交往方面给新生提出如下建议：
（1）做个有心人：
班级新生见面会上，同学们的自我介绍要用心听，记住每位同学的样子和名字，这是一种礼貌和尊重，而且这有可能是你与某些同学在大学期间唯一的相识机会。
（2）班级活动要积极：
大学教室一般都很大，没有固定座位，所以没有所谓的同桌，因此班级活动就是班级大融合的最佳途径，比如：野外聚餐、集体旅游、联谊晚会……，尤其大一新生，课程压力小，班级活动尤其丰富，多是以“联谊”为主题，气氛欢快，同学们都比较能放得开，很快就能玩到一起。
✦遇到来寝室推销的人，不管多动心，请和外面正规商店对比后再决定，90%的都比外边商店的贵！
✦学会和你生活习惯完全不同的室友一起生活、成为朋友。有的人是不太会考虑别人的感受，不过大部分时候，你的室友也是这样评价你的。最后这些室友会成为你最难忘的校友。

Despite its name, the UTD main campus is located in the Dallas suburb of Richardson, Texas, just adjacent to the city of Dallas' northern limits. The institute (by then renamed the Southwest Center for Advanced Studies) was later donated to the University of Texas system by its founders Eugene McDermott, Cecil Howard Green and J. Erik Jonsson. By law, UTD conferred only graduatedegrees until 1975. Upper-division undergraduate students were allowed to start enrolling in UTD starting in 1974. Eventually freshmen and sophomores were allowed by legislative decree in 1990.校园Although a relatively new campus, it has grown by leaps and bounds. Having more room than the UT System's flagship school, University of Texas at Austin, there is plenty room for growth.
