在the more… the more… (越......越......)句型中,若主句是一般将来时,从句通常用一般现在时。

2. 现在进行时的基本用法:a. 表示现在( 指说话人说话时) 正在发生的事情。

现在分词做状语与过去分词做状语的最主要区别在于两者与所修饰的主语的主动与被动关系的区别。

1)现在分词作状语时,现在分词的动作就是句子主语的动作,它们之间的关系是主动关系。

He went out ,shutting the door behind him. 他出去后将门随手关上。

Not knowing what to do, he went to his parents for help. 由于不知如何办是好,他去找父母帮忙。

2)过去分词作状语时,过去分词表示的动作是句子主语承受的动作,它们之间的关系是被动关系。

Given more attention, the trees could have grown better. 如果对这些树多关心一些,它们本来会长得更好。

Faced with difficulties, we must try to overcome them. 在遇到困难的时候,我们必须设法克服。

Caught in a heavy rain, he was all wet. Given more encouragement, the boy could have behaved better 2)分词作状语放在句子开头,除表示原因之外有时表示时间或条件。

动词不定式作状语时,除了表示目的以外,还表示结果或原因。

Reading attentively,he forgot the time for lunch.由于在专心读书,他忘了吃午饭的时间。

(原因) Reading carefully,he found something he had not known before.他仔细读书时,发现了一些从前不知道的东西。

(时间) Reading carefully,you'll learn something new.只要你仔细阅读,你会学到一些新的东西。

状语从句学案(一)、课前预习检测:在复合句中修饰主句中的动词、形容词和副词的从句叫()。

状语从句如果放在主句前通常用逗号分开。

(二)、自学要点考点清单一、时间状语从句。

1.由连接词when、while、before、after、since、until(till) 、as soon as、as等引导2.由副词:directly,immediately, instantly等引导3.由时间名词;the moment, the minute, each/every time,next time, the first/second /last time,by the time等引导.The moment the bell rang, all the students stood at attention.The first time he saw her , he fell in love with her.4.常考句型1.be about to/be doing/ had done…when 将要做/正在/刚做完某事……突然2.It was /will be …before… It was not long before I forgot it all.(It is /has been… since…是常用句型)It is just a week since we arrived here.注意事项 1. Not until …在句首,主句用倒装。

例如:Not until I began to work did I realize how much time I had wasted.2.Hardly/scarcely/rarely…when, No sooner…thanNo sooner had I got home than it began to rain.二、地点状语从句地点状语从句由where, wherever引导。

(8)till/until引导的时间状语从句
till和until同义,作“直到„„时(为止)”解,till多口语话,until多用于句首。
Eg:Donald will remain in college until(till) he finishes his Ph.D course.

2.地点状语从句Adverbial clauses ofplace
(1) where引导的地点状语从句,很简单,最基础的从属连词where“在(或到)„„的地方”
(2) as引导的时间状语从句
as侧重表示主句和从句的动作并相发生,翻译成一边,一边。
We were having breakfast as she was combing her hair.她梳头时我们在吃早饭。
(3)while引导的时间状语从句
while或“在„„期间”,所引导的从句的动作是延续性的,并表示和主句的动作同时发生。

① where在地点状语从句中,除指地点外,还可指处境等。就看句子翻译了。如:
He said he was happy where he was.他说他对自己的处境很满意。

它们所引导的从句中的谓语动词通常为过去完成时。
Eg:He had no sooner (no sooner had he)arrived home than he was asked to start on another journey.
他刚一到家,就又要他出另一次差。
No sooner had the words been spoken than he realized that he should have remained silent.
the instant (that),the minute(that),the moment(that)等,它们通常都可与as soon as换用。
As soon as we got home, the telephone rang.我们一到家,电话就响了。
I recognized her immediately I saw her.我一看见她就认出她来了。
Directly the teacher came in everyone was quiet.老师一进来,大家就静了下来。
(6) hardly...when/no sooner...than引导的时间状语从句
关联从属连词hardly/barely/scarcely...when和no sooner...than的意思是“刚„„就”,

I won’t go with you until(till) I finished my homework.等我做完作业我才和你一起去。

1.时间状语引导的时间状语从句
①.when引导的时间状语从句,其动词既可以是延续性动作的动词,也可以是瞬间性动作的动词,可以表示主句的动作和从句的动作同时发生,或从句的动作发生在主句的动作之前。
在句中作____语,修饰句子或___动词_____等的从句叫状语从句。
状语从句一般分为九大类别:
1.时间状语从句;2.地点状语从句;3.原因状语从句;
4.目的状语从句. 5.结果状语从句;6.让步状语从句;
7.比较状语从句;8,条件状语从句;9.方式状语从句
